The oak I received last year was very dry and burned extremely well. The cherry that I received this year was not completely dry but it still burned well. Both ricks were very expensive compared to other places. I felt the delivery charge was over the top as well. I really enjoyed the extremely helpful and nice staff, who took the time to explain the differences in all of their woods. I also loved the selection of choices that were available. For comparison, I got a rick of mixed hardwoods from Broad Ripple Tree Service and I got them stacked side by side. The rick from the Green Gang was 25%-40% larger. In addition, the wood from the Green Gang was cut into smaller pieces and were more uniform in size. I felt the wood from the Green Gang is suited for all fireplace types, small to large. I would have rated the Green Gang five stars, but their prices are a little too high in my opinion,.
