Bulletproof coffee
Heather V.

Cute little cafe in the town of Rico just south of Telluride. My hubby and I stopped at Fireweed for breakfast! I had looked up the menu here on Yelp but it's not up to date. A lot of the items listed were no longer there. They do have breakfast burritos but they'd sold out this morning though when we were walking out other people were ordering breakfast burritos and got them. I'm not sure if they were waiting for more to be made but they said they were sold out not that they were going to have more later. They also have frittatas and pastries. My husband and I each got a frittata. It was tomato, onion and sweet potato. It was good. I also got a fresh pressed juice - carrot, ginger and lemon. Very good too! My husband got iced tea and I got the bulletproof coffee. It was amazing! If I lived nearby they'd have a daily patron! The place was very busy. You can tell it's well loved by locals and those driving through. I wish we had gotten better information about the breakfast burritos at the register as that's what we wanted. The young lady behind the register was nice but spent a long time waiting on and talking to one of her friends which caused a long wait. Might be good to take the names of those people eating in and as well as getting to go food as it doesn't seem there is a system. The food is brought out and announced. Kind of hard to know it's your food when the frittata is all that is left and is being brought out of the kitchen. This cafe is definitely a cute stop in Rico. Be prepared for them to sell out of things but stop in and have some bulletproof coffee and some tasty food.

I love this cafe! It's quaint, rustic with lots of cute nick knacks to admire. The service is friendly. The apricot rhubarb muffin was delicious, and I highly recommend the Kihei Sunrise smoothie. If you find yourself in Rico, Colorado this cute cafe is a must!

This is a great spot for your coffees and breakfast burritos! They also do great superfood smoothies with fresh ingredients. A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with some great services. There is a lot to love here.

Stopped by for a late lunch, without checking Yelp. Funky combination of earthy touristy shop, grocery for cool eats, and restaurant/smoothies. Seems oriented toward vegan, healthy, organic food which is appreciated! I got a vegan sandwich, spouse got a salad. Mine was quite good, roasted vegetables and vegan cream cheese with a hint of spice. Spouse's salad dressing was roasted vegetables and quinoa with sesame ginger which she loved. Fresh made ice tea was pleasing. I tried a macrobiotic cola which was what one would expect. Recommended!

It was rainy but they had a ad board by the highway. I am really glad we saw it! Sorry, no photos of our food - we tucked in too fast! All natural and locally sourced. Great sour dough bread.

This place is so cute! We did yoga on Sunday morning.which was awesome. Thanks Chelsea. Then we treated ourselves to pumpkin bread, coffee, and breakfast. All of it tasted wonderful and was worth the drive from Telluride! They work hard and you can tell they are proud of their business. Must stop and get a treat. Lots of healthy options too! All organic. #supportlocal

Nice gem in lovely Rico. Great pesto/cheese/greens sandwich. Nice seating area with a patio and nice selection of fresh veggies and merch. All in all a pleasant surprise.

Very great vibes and kind hearted employees. I tried the chai and it has a spicy delicious kick to it! Never tried one like it! Love it

A must stop on your ride from Telluride to Delores. Comfortable cafe and mercantile that offers organic light meals, outstanding coffee, friendly service, and a variety of natural products. Cozy seating indoors, and puppy parking is available for your best friend and his humans. Found Fireweed by accident and are so glad we stopped!

I'd never heard of Natural Grocers until a few months ago and now I've visited two locations in CO…read morein the past month. What can I say? I'm HOOKED! This place is incredible. I take the vitamins, use the lip balms, hair brushes, socks, purchase my elderberry zinc lozenges - which I basically pop like candy during these times, girls gotta keep that immune system thriving! vegan cookies, candies, tea - I mean I can go on and on. This store has everything I adore. They really have a ton of great items you'd need for all aspects of your healthy living life and extremely high standards for every product sold here. While, sure you may not be able to get every last item you need here that's zero issue for me. I'm used to frequenting at least two separate stores (Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Ralphs -which I've now learned is City Market here) at home for different items. I'd give you the hottest tip on the Western Slope but I don't want everyone flooding the store for her ;) cough cough Jessica - greatest girl around. Great customer service from everyone I've ever encountered! Fantastic products, I can see why the health conscious peeps of all surrounding areas drive into town for this store. It's the best of the best. You can stop off on the drive to Telluride if you need to stock up on yummy goodies for your trip. I plan on being a customer each and every time I'm in town and highly recommend.

Local managers need to be empowered to buy from local farmers etc. No comparison say to Durango Natural Foods Co-op which has better produce, a small but nice deli, and overall better selection.
