Toyota makes a decent car, but their customer service is the drizzling you know what. So after years of putting up with it, and reaching my breaking point, I had enough and brought my car to Firestone for this oil change/checkup. So far so good. Fast, friendly service and no issues thus far. Car is supposed to take OW-16 oil, but apparently the shop was out, and I got OW-20. Manuel is says its ok to use temporarily, but to make sure to switch back to the correct one next time. So hopefully they have that in stock next time. read more

I ordered my tires from Tirerack.com and had them delivered and put on here. This is my second time here and it is a fairly new facility. The waiting area is comfortable enough with a tv and keurig machine. The tires were Continental extreme sport dws06 235/45/17 with a price of $135 each. My appointment was 12:00 on Saturday and was having the front two tires changed. They brought my car into the garage at 1:12 and finished a 2:12. The coat for install was $41.21...not a bad deal! Dropped by with no appointment and was cheerfully greeted for a quote for new tires all the way around for our 06 Honda CRV. I had gotten a competitive quote on a specific tire and they matched it with a copy of my price quote. The upside? I was able to drop our car and not wait the week quoted by the other joint. I also got a good price on an oil change while it was in the shop. It is easy to miss this place as it's tucked into a spot right across from BJs and it's easy to get distracted by the melee of traffic buzzing around. Took my jeep in for what I thought was a minor issue but I had to go in 3 times and pay over 200 dollars and they STILL did not fix the problem. The guy I took it to fixed it in a couple of hours for 50 dollars. They are shady when it comes to pricing as well went in for new tires after getting a quote the week before and they laughed and mocked me said they never gave such a quote. First off, I think it's awesome that these guys are open on Sundays - major props for that fact alone! My 18-year-old stepson's car was out of commission after he slid off the road and into a ditch, causing some minor body damage, and both passenger side tires to go flat. He had the car towed to his girlfriend's house, where it sat until today, Sunday, his only day off to deal with the problem. We tried to refill his tires with air, but could see that some dirt and gravel had gotten forced in between the tire bead and rim when he ran off the road, resulting in the tires losing air (the rims and tires seemed otherwise intact). We removed the rims from his car, and then I drove him and the rims to Firestone. This Firestone was just built last year, so it is brand-new and immaculately clean. In fact, it wasn't too busy when we arrived around 1 p.m., and I saw one of the mechanics using a floor cleaning machine inside the service bays! Most of the employees on duty Sunday appeared younger, but everyone was professional, including the service writer. He did recommend new tires - a recommendation I agreed with, since the car is a 1997, and the tires on there currently are not in the greatest shape. However, my stepson a) doesn't have much money; b) plans to sell this car soon to buy a better one; and c) this car is not worth spending too much money on (i.e., think used tires instead of new ones). The service writer gave him a quote on new tires, but I appreciate he did not use a hard sell or scare tactics. In the end, the technician was able to do what we originally hoped: dis-mount the tires; clean the dirt and gravel from tires and rims; and re-mount the same tires, with new valve stems. They also applied bead sealer and leak tested their work. Total cost was just over $42, and it was done in a reasonable amount of time while we waited. Speaking of waiting, they have a very nice waiting room, with a large flat screen, comfortable chairs, and a single-serve coffee maker. If one was waiting for a longer period of time, there are stores and restaurants nearby within easy walking distance. With our cleaned and re-mounted tires, I drove my stepson back to his car in West Greenwich and put them back on the car for him. Now he's back on the road (minus a headlight housing, so that means a trip to the auto salvage yard for a used one). I'm thankful, once again, that Firestone was open on Sunday and helped us out at a reasonable price. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. At 9am I scheduled an appointment for 11:00am. Online it said the tires were in stock, so me thinking it should be fairly quick...That's a big NOPE. At 3:30pm they finally finished after telling me they had to get tires from another store.... Then when my very frustrated husband got home we noticed a very large dent and scratch along the passenger side front panel...seriously wtf. I contacted customer service and will be getting my car fixed...what a nightmare!!! read more

I had a valve break on the way down to NYC in the middle of the night. Drove to a hotel next door on a spare, and made an appointment on their website at night so I could get going asap in the morning. I had my three year old with me as well, so I was really anxious to get done early. All of this was apparent or told to the store right up front when we arrived. Then I waited TWO HOURS for new tires. As I paid for the service, I was told "Sorry for the wait, we had our new guy mounting your tires, and he wanted to make sure he was doing it right". They also lost the pouch that held the socket for my locking lug nuts, which I only realized because the thing was rattling around in my glove box. Not great. read more

Life savers! This is the only place open on Sundays and anywhere else if they were open were booked up. Excellent friendly customer service and reasonably priced. One note of caution the wait it a little on the long side but not unbearable. I would definitely come back. read more

Don't ever go to this place, they are exploiters of woman and the elderly. My wife brought her fathers handicapped van there for service and inspection. Vehicle had a broken air conditioner, bad oxygen sensor and two tires leaking air. Upon pick up #1 my wife shields the bill from me, we leave, within 40 miles the engine light is back on and the rear tire is still leaking, a/c fix tho. Bring it back to them i take an uber to pick it up at 8:30 at night, rear tire has 21lbs in it and then i find the bills....WOW!! This company charge my wife $3,000!!! Installed New struts, replaced tie rods???? on a car with 36K miles??? A laundry list of repair not even related to what we brought it in for. Oh, and then the car didn't pass inspection!! Brought my car in for an oil change. Told it would take hour and a half and that I'd get a call. Took all day, no call. Come back to find out they'd busted my tire. Had to wait overnight to get it fixed by their tech who wasn't there at the height of the day for some reason. Come back to pick it up and they acted like they were doing me a favor by fixing the thing they broke. Incredibly rude and condescending when I asked for them to at least pay for the taxi. Booked an appointment for 4 new tires. picked them out on line the night before(black Friday). Price was good. Buy 4 get one free 89$ each. Free alignment,road hazard,and lifetime rotation. Get to the place and informed that none of what I was quoted was correct.It only applied to Black Friday. Store closes at 6. I booked at 7. Never mentioned on web site it was a special.Deceptive advertising. Ad should have been removed. Store would not honor the quoted price. Three and a half hours to change 4 tires. Alignment not free 89$ Tires were 112 not 89$. All lies. While there I heard salesman tell people that they needed things they really didn't need. Mostly women. Never go back or recommend. read more

3 Hour WAIT - When I had an appointment!?!?! Summary: Customer service: non-existent. Ability to manage time schedules: not even close. Ability to project an image of professionalism: NOPE! This was unbelievable ordeal over a set of tires. Thank goodness there's PLENTY of places to get new tires.... It started with getting an appointment over the phone a few days in advance, accentuating the fact that I really didn't want to wait long, but I will need to plan my day otherwise if it will be a longer than an hour wait. The individual I was talking to assured me that 11am on Monday is a pretty good time to get something done I was not to worry - even though, I confirmed with him, that it's the Monday that's (sorta) the observed Veterans Day Holiday (Another long rant of mine: why the F is 90% of the country recognize the Friday as the holiday, but Rhode Island - only parts of by the way- chose the Monday?!). I arrived and again engaged the greeter with my wait concerns I even observed how busy the place was - every bay had a vehicle in it- looked pretty busy to me... I was again re-assured that the wait would only be an hour / hour and a half at the most. I went and had an early lunch at a nearby restaurant, returned about an hour later sat down and waited. For some reason the cell phone service there was in and out, I noticed I had a voice mail from a minute earlier that was Firestone calling me about my truck. I WAS SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM WHE HE CALLED MY PHONE! What? They informed me that my battery was weak and recommended a replacement. This was at about 1.25 hours into it. I get what they're doing, by why are they looking at stuff I didn't ask them? AND, why didn't they inform me that they were going to do any other type of checks? I told them to skip the battery and just get the tires done, They informed me that itll only be a couple of minutes just some paper work to do and I'm done. Fine. So I sit back done and wait. Another hour goes by... By now, I've noticed my truck in the service bay taking rides up and down on the lift a BUNCH of times - engine starting and shutting off a BUNCH of times... "What are they doing?" I inquired to the service tech- Please see what's going on and find out what I've been waiting about 2-1/2 hours. HE comes back and informs me that I should be all set and they problems with one of the tires... What? - so ok I bite, I start with the ' like what type of problem? - What tire?' - the man could not give me a straight answer - only that they're all done and that ill be all set. I HATE THESE ANSWERS - Worst customer service mistake ever !!!!! A few mins later I witness the service tech getting into my truck and driving out the back side of the service bay to around the front of the facility, he was never seen again!!! WOW. About 20 minutes later ANOTHER service tech calls me up to process me out - a very good opportunity to apologize and try to make right what went wrong - even blame the guy who isn't there anymore- All I got was a shoulder shrug and a 'not my problem, its way above my pay grade' answer to the question when I asked why did it take the majority of 3 hours to get my tires installed WITH an appointment. He said 'what do you want me to do? Get my boss?' to that I replied - whats that going to do? His reply: 'not much'. Holy crap.... These guys have no clue ..... Love my tires - unfortunately, it has NOTHING to do with the management or the individuals working at this facility. read more

Location: Firestone in West Greenwich Centre of New England. Called and I was told that I needed to make an appointment for an oil change, made one for 1:30. When I got there I was told that there was an hour and a half wait! Why did I make an appointment? 6 days later I brought my car in for an inspection and a repair, they ordered the part 2 days before. Dropped it off at 8AM and 3:30 they call and tell me they ordered the wrong part and scrammed all over to find the right part. They got it from a local dealer and they said the car would not be ready that day. Told them it had to be cause we needed it for work the next day! Told them not to do inspection and finish it. They call at 6:15 said car is ready. When I went to pick it up they said it failed inspection due tinted license plate covers. (I told them not to do inspection and they did anyway) Brought it back to be re-inspected on that Sunday at 9AM was told that the guy who does these was running late. He showed up at 9:10 with uniform rolled under his arm and was saying hi to everyone and socializing before changing. Finally got out of there at 9:35. Just a note inspection failed due to tinted license plate covers but they also failed to notice that the front headlight and back brake light were out! This place is run poorly and I would never recommend it to anyone! read more
