I had a great experience with this shop! I was way overdue on inspection and needed to get in ASAP. I called here on a tip and was told to come in at 9 the next morning. When I got there, I was told it would be 2 hours, which annoyed me because I foolishly believed that when he said to come at 9, I thought they would take my car right in at 9. I let that go because I've been driving for 25 years, and even though that's what I WANT to happen, it never ever is. HOWEVER...I realized I didn't have my registration, and they kept me in the queue while I went home to Providence, tore apart my house, and brought it back, at which time they were ready for me. This firestone is only good for basic maintenance and repairs, nothing major. Went to them to check my AC, turns out the compressor was shot. They wanted to charge me almost a grand to replace and recharge. Went somewhere else and got it done for almost half that cost and done right. Overall these guys do a good job on basic jobs like oil changes and inspections but I wouldn't have any major work done on my car from them, they will overcharge you. read more

They have always treated me with respect and provided information and education. I feel their prices and recommendations have always been reasonable. Stephen Rodrigues was particularly kind and helpful when my brakes went out in November. It turned out to be quite a major job. Well, I guess I've had enough of the routine stuff done there over the past year to warrant an opinion. In an area with auto service that is lacking at best, they have been at least acceptable. Tire prices were pretty fair (after some haggling, which they CAN do), but the quote on brake work was not fair, so I passed. Things like being an hour or two late on finishing the work, or forgetting to rotate the tires (for which they gave me a free oil change coupon- appreciated) do happen, and hate to say, happen pretty often in this business. Our time is valuable to us but not to anyone else--- that's just life. They told me I had 50% left on the brakes, but then mailed me a document describing how I declined to complete work that was safety-related. We're that legally motivated now--- really?! It was just a form letter, but still.... Anyway, Sears at the Rhode Island Mall seems to have steadily declined, local mechanics are "typical," and my dealer has been everywhere from surprisingly helpful to completely overpriced/disinterested. By default, Firestone at the Warwick Mall is an acceptable choice, but guard that billfold, and go when you are not pressed for time. read more

Bought tires from Firestone a year ago. A year later, I picked up a nail in my tire and returned to get a matching tire only to learn it was covered under warranty! They replaced the tire and sent me on my way in less than 1 hour. I've got a few miles to go before I need new sneakers, but when I do, you bet I will return here. read more

I went for an oil change and there was oil hand prints on my bumper on my hood on the push bar and on the bug shield. So the focus on cleanliness was not there and I am very particular about my vehicles beware!!! read more

I ordered 4 tires on a Friday and was told that they will be in the next day (Saturday). I made an appointment for the following Monday morning to have them installed. When I arrived Monday morning for my appointment, the associate told me that the tires are not in yet. He told me that there are no deliveries on the weekend. I ask why no one called me to explain that the tires won't be in on time. He just apologize for no one calling me. They assured me that the tires will come within an hour and half. 5 hours later is when they finished my truck. read more

Great service! Store was inviting and clean inside. Waiting area has a good selection of reading material and coffee, which help to pass the time. I was immediately greeted by the guy at the desk. He was very professional and knowledgble. Kept me up to date with the progress of my repairs and everything was done within the time he originally estimated. With a promotion they had going on and the coupons I received in the mail, the price was a lot lower than what I was quoted for at my regular mechanics. I'm a mechanic that has severe back problems and I can't work on my own vehicles as much as I would like. I have taken several cars to them for work and inspections and would highly recommend them to anyone. Their tires are the best and the service is outstanding. We have become friends and I feel very comfortable with someone else working on my cars which is very hard to do when for forty years I didn't trust my and my families safety to anyone but me. read more

brought my truck in for inspection.....needed a taillight and tire...fair enough....found a few things they recommended....fair enough...didn't get them done....bill seemed high....they added without asking a 20 dollar "road hazard coverage" that I did not ask for....They tried to argue when I told them to remove the charge....This is the third time I have been there for inspection and tires (6 years)....for 20 dollars I will not go back there and I am writing a bad review....Find somewhere else....just kinda shady there....used to like them read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Have been going there for years with no issues until now. Went in for struts and shocks and not even 40 minutes later after I left, my car went completely dead in the middle of a busy traffic area. They somehow blew my alternator and drained my battery. After all that was said and done they tore the black rubber like material in between my shift gear and now there is horrible tension when I move from drive to park to reverse and have been giving me difficulty in paying for it saying they haven't touched that area when they most definitely have. I certainly as angry as I am would not want to fight for this as I have better things to do. Will never go there again will never mention their name will never look in their direction ever again and will tell everyone I know to never go there again! Have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and have contacted all news channels and waiting for a response read more

Sent one of my kids' cars here to get looked over because we had just bought it from a private seller and I wanted to make sure the car was mechanically sound before investing in the body work it needed. While the car was there I had them change the oil. They called to tell me the car was ready for pick up and I asked the guy on the phone if the car checked out ok mechanically and he seemed perplexed why I was asking him that. I reminded him that I had asked for the car to be looked over for anything that needed fixing and I got a "oh yeah it's all fine". hmmm...really?? Because two weeks later we've had to replace the fuel pump and we found out the manifold had a crack in it and that needed replacing too. Guess they didn't bother to look the car over. Too bad for them because had they found the issues I would have had them fix it right there and then. I decided to take the car elsewhere for repairs because I can't trust the staff at Firestone after this. read more
