Now this worst they mess with one spark plug coils and broke bolt. They didn't tell us and we found out after wife told me been having issues with here car. I open Eng hood and one coils were lost. Five star all around from start to finish. I booked my appointment online and the next day I got a call from Kirsten to confirm. She went over the costs and asked about additional service. I declined, and to my surprise, I didn't get any pushback, as I normally do from other car repair shops. Come the day of my appointment, and ugh- the car wouldn't start. I wasn't going to make the appointment since I had to get a new battery installed. I called Firestone and spoke to Eric and told him I had to cancel and reschedule. He was very friendly and empathetic to the situation. Luckily, picking up the new battery and getting installed didn't take to long so I decided to call them again to see if there was time to bring it in. Mark answered the phone and happily said they could fit me in. He said it would be done by the end of the day which I was perfectly okay with. Well two hours later, and it was ready to go! They have left me with a broken vehicle that can no longer be aligned and refuse to fix what they broke. I took my vehicle in for a simple alignment one morning and got a call that afternoon saying it was ready for pick up. When I picked up the vehicle the alignment was worse than when I had dropped it off. I came back the next morning explained to them what was going on and the manager informed me that they had let the new tech with no experience working an alignment rack work on my vehicle and that he probably put in the wrong specs. I was understanding everyone starts somewhere and mistakes happen. I left the truck with them that morning to have the alignment redone and got a call that afternoon saying that it couldn't be aligned due to a bad idler arm. I told them I would replace the part and bring it back in the morning. Day 3 I bring the truck back and drop it off once again to have the alignment done by the lead tech. I get a call that afternoon saying it still can't be aligned on the drivers side. I came up to the shop and they invited me into the bay so I could see what was going on. As I'm standing under the alignment rack the lead tech cranks up on my camber bolt and ends up bending the mounting bracket for my upper control arm rips out the alignment guide pin and bends my eccentric plate. When I pointed out what he had just done he shrugged his shoulders and told me he wasn't liable. I left the bay and tried to talk with the manager about what had just happened and he shrugged it off told me they weren't liable because off the age of my vehicle (A 2006 Silverado). As I was leaving the lead tech followed me out to my truck and explained that he couldn't do the repair on what he broke because he would be loosing money. I then filed a claim with the company and was promised that with in 2 days (per company policy) that the Area Manager would reach out since the store manager had been part of the issue. When they didn't reach out I called back and was then told that the Regional Manager would be the one calling in 2 days (per company policy). I was never contacted by either instead a week later I was contacted by claims who said the store manager had contacted them. I explained the situation to them and they said they needed to do more research. I then received an email the following day from them stating that due to the fact that the vehicle had a bad idler arm when I originally brought it in ( a part where it is quite literally impossible for it to be the cause of this damage) that they would not be fixing my vehicle. TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! I came in for an alignment for the second time in 2 months, I was recommended by a friend to get my alignment here specifically for JR only. I requested for him to do my alignment and I scheduled an appointment online and he did descent on the first one he fixed the alignment issues but it gave me a rubbing Issue on the back body mount on the full turn, didn't have that Issue before I went here and I didn't have time to comeback since I'm gonna be out of town for 2 weeks and now I had to reschedule online again for another appointment originally I scheduled July 3rd for 11am drop off and I put on the notes for "I request JR to do the alignment" since he's the only one that knows how to do toyota's, and after couple hours of scheduling I got an email that my appointment is confirmed so I went on July 3rd to drop my truck and the employee on the front desk had told me that JR doesn't work that day, and I asked the employee why did they confirmed my appointment knowing that I had requested only for JR? and he told me that he doesn't know but JR dont work that day so he asked me to just reschedule my appointment for July 8 for drop off and I was ok with that and I also asked him if I can add another service to do tire swap and he said just bring it to your date of appointment and they will do it for me. July 8 came by and I came to drop off the truck and I had to make sure to get more positive caster to fix the rubbing issue and he said thats on JR's notes already and I also mentioned that I brought the tires to get swapped to my current ones and he told me that they can't swap it since jt was used even though one of the employees had told me to just bring it, I ended up just going to another tire shop to do the job. After I picked up the truck and I asked for the alignment spec sheet and I saw that my Caster wasn't even touched and the only thing was done was he moved the camber .2 degrees and they still charged me for the full alignment service they should've at least give me a call that they cant do anything with the caster before they proceed with the service but then still charged me full service. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN!!!, take your money somewhere else and I am not satisfied with the employees customer service they need to be trained. read more

Horrible..failed inspection because of a cloudy rear view mirror...my eyeglasses in worse shape...I asked to see the standard in the code book...the inspector didn't even know how to look it up...I looked it up for him...Pathetic! They quoted me $120 over the phone, and $84 in writing for some reason. Mirror costs $12 and one screw holds it in place. Complete criminals! The two star rating all centers around the service technician (?title?) with whom I initially spoke. He tried to slide a false charge to my bill and then lied, twice, to cover it up. I went in for a front end alignment recheck as part of my lifetime front end alignment with Firestone. The Service Technician asked something to the effect of 'What is it doing?' and I told him. He never asked me to sign anything and he didn't give me any paperwork, which was a bit different from previous rechecks, but things change so I didn't think much of it. However, I saw the paperwork, upside down. It showed a $45 charge for 'Suspension Diagnostics'. I asked the Service Technician about that charge. He responded that was part of the lifetime front end alignment recheck and was covered under the recheck. When I picked up my vehicle the $45 dollar charge was still on the bill. I questioned him about it and he said it was necessary because I told him what was happening that made me believe that I needed a front end alignment check, which I only did in response to his question. I was not pleased with this guy by now, I asked to speak with his supervisor because this guy, the service technician, was trying to pad the bill with a spuriously devised charge. The supervisor, I believe that his name was 'Jesse' though I am not sure, asked me what happened, then talked to the original service technician, who was saying that he had to put the charge on there because of what I had said, and then Jesse removed the charge. The guy 'Jesse' was well spoken, well manured and represented Firestone very well. The location was clean outside and in, well organized, and I was happy with the work they did. I would have given a five stars review if not for the original service technician. read more

Frequently plagued by people that don't understand the cost of maintaining a vehicle, sometimes neglect theirs, then are angered when the repair list and expense hits all at once. For my experience, it was good. I needed an alignment and got what I expected. The time estimate was close to promised. I was comfortable waiting in the seating area to work on some papers. I received an update a couple of times while there. And I the service billing was consistent with the services. State inspections are first come first serve which frustrates many. But given the number of people living in these cities, it is the way most places conduct the business of inspections. Plan ahead. The first and last weeks of the month are always a zoo with people that forget until the last minute to get it done; I know, I've been guilty of that myself. read more

But when I make an appointment online for an alignment two days before, then when I get there they say they can't do it because they're backed up? My wife visited the store at 953 Chimney Hill Pkwy, VA Beach, 23462 yesterday morning at about 11:45am. She was 125 miles away from our home in the Richmond, VA Area. She had a nail in her tire. One of the store managers, Cameron (Tire sales) advised her that he would take a look. He examined the tire outside and said leave it here, it would be a little bit, he would call her back. Her mother came from Suffolk (about 20 miles away) to get her. He called my wife back at about 12:30pm and said he could not patch her tire because it had an aftermarket rim. Then she asked if he could simply change out to the spare, to which he replied they don't have the specialty tools to do so, and furthermore, may scratch her rim. To which she replied, I will sign a waver or something, I just need to be able to get home. Then he offered to her that they couldn't even do it now because they were having a "Corporate Meeting" at 4 pm and would be closing early. I called back as she was leaving the store, while I left our home to drive the 125 miles to help her. I spoke with Cameron myself. He offered me the same excuses to which I asked again, could he simply change out the spare for her. He said he didn't have the proper tools to do so. He also stated it was "Firestone Corporate Policy" to not work on vehicles with aftermarket wheels. I retorted, is this Firestone policy, or a "Cameron Super Bowl Sunday Policy"? He assured me again, this was "Firestone Corporate Policy". Our vehicle has a standard OEM looking black wheels, 20 inch rims, that closely mimic OEM. Nothing exotic or special. It also does not have special lug nuts. They too are OEM. I have rotated my tires myself with a bottle jack and a four way cross bar. One could change out the spare with what is included in the vehicle. With that said, why would these men at Firestone "Complete Auto Care" refuse a woman, 125 miles away from home with 2 children, in the rain no less, to at least change out her spare tire with the pathetic claims of not having the specialty tools necessary? I can see no reason other than taking advantage of a woman! I called customer service, and the fella I spoke with also seemed uninterested and unapologetic regarding my inquiry. He said the store manager may call me within 48 hours. I've already spoken to a manager, according to Cameron. read more

Stick to Discount Tire down the road! After making an initial appointment online, only to find out that I showed up at the wrong location(my fault) these guys seemed quick to want to help me out. I told the attendant the type of tires I wanted, but they proceeded to upsell me the same tire by the same manufacture but it was a newer version of the tire. How are the newer tires version cost $50 more is beyond me. I should've just said no right there and left and went to the original place I made an appointment at because they had the tires I was looking for at the correct price. I proceeded to tell them just to change the two front tires which they did. But, I wasn't too impressed when I was in the waiting room and looked out into the garage and caught them messing around under the hood!...wtf! What dont you get about changing JUST the tires and nothing else!... Discount Tire doesnt mess around under the hood. The manager had stated that they were simply just doing their courtesy check for fluids and battery levels and what not I told the guy that I do all I own maintenance and only wanted tires changed nothing else and told him to stop the courtesy check because it's not what I asked him to do. Was from this point forward that I was on pins and needles while I was pacing around in the waiting room. I didn't really trust the work that they were doing and decided to sit and watch everything they did from the window until they were done. **Overall, do what the customer asks. If there's a courtesy inspection make sure the customer knows about the inspection and give the customer the option to have it done or not. Who knows they could've broke something while they were poking around under the hood and then I would've had to of come back a few days later and forked out more money because of shady maintenance practices. I would give a 0 if possible!!!!! We purchased the lifetime alignment. We drop off our car and say "we need to get an alignment" The lady behind the counter says "Ok, so an alignment and a state inspection?" We reply with "No, just an alignment." And please keep in mind that our state inspection is only 6 months old and they last for a year. She responds "Well we can take care of a state inspection for you" We respond "No, we don't need one or want one. We ONLY want an alignment." After that fun and irritating exchange we leave to run some errands. A couple hours later we get a phone call. Can you guess what happened? "Hello Mr. XXXXX, I wanted to talk to you about your alignment and state inspection." We looked at each other in complete disgust. We respond "We did not want a state inspection. We came in for our free alignment." His response "Oh, um, ok. One second." So long story short.....they did work that we specifically told them not to. They then told us that we didn't pass inspection and what they wanted to have us get fixed. So we go to get our car because we are NOT letting them do any work on our car if they can't even follow a simple request. Wait.....it gets better.... We go to pick up our car 7 hours later and it is sitting in the parking lot....drum roll please....with NO alignment done!!!! They did work that we asked them NOT to do and did NOT do what we came in for!!! Their response? "Oh, sorry. We'll get it in the air now." I wish I could say this was our first bad experience there. We have had issues in the past with brand new tires dry rotting and being refused to replace. We had and issue where we were told one thing needed replaced so we paid and another place said no that was fine it was this that was wrong. If we didn't pay for a lifetime alignment we would NEVER step foot in this place again. Rip off. Don't stand by their products. Front staff adds stuff to your ticket you don't want. Adam, the store manager, answered promptly my phone call. He provided a rough estimate of the repair. In store, the car inspection report was informative. Two tires and a battery had to be replaced. Adam explained me in details clearly and honestly what were my costed options to repair my car. My family appreciated very much he explained which services were compulsory and which ones were part of preventive maintenance. The price was fair. I was billed as per the estimate provided. I dropped off my car by 8:49 am. I was told my car would be ready by noon. The repaired car was delivered on-time. The carpeted waiting room had free coffee with creamer and sugar. Several comfortable adults' and toddlers' chairs were available. The clean bathroom had a changing table for babies. My smart phone could not connect to their free wifi. This network was stated as 'unsafe' on my smart phone. It was easy and free to park in their private lot. The parking was clear of debris. read more

Firestone has always been amazing for my family and I until recently. My husband had ball brakes and brake lines redone and we paid 2000+ come to find out they only replaced one and still charged us. Now today we made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation and an hour later they still haven't gotten to my car. I've been sitting here trying to keep my baby busy for over an hour now because they don't know how to manage their time or at least give us a heads up and tell us they are running behind. Dropped my car off at 9am for state inspection and oil change. After not hearing anything I called around 4pm only to be told they could not get my car to start & they told me I needed to replace the starter. One hour before close, I was called and told that after replacing the starter, it was not the starter and they think it might be the ignition instead but they would not be able to get it done until the next morning. I was called the next morning saying everything was complete. Payed $300 bucks for my car still not to start properly, the cover around the steering wheel was not replace properly and I'm convinced the oil wasn't even changed. I went to Firestone two days ago to get a price quote for new tires and to get an oil change. I was told the wait would be considerable but that an appointment and was available for the next day, so I did that. While I thought Firestone price matched, they don't. This was ok though because they provided a company coupon for the same price! Then, I was advised that my tires were not as bad as I thought (win for me). Though I did need the pads on my break changed soon (which I thought but forgot to ask about). The price for this, too, seemed fair and they also gave me a military discount and a rebate for the brake pads. It took a while for everything, but was with the wait for the peace of mind. My 94 year old Dad, Veteran, went here for a simple inspection, once on June 5th 2018 But was told they Were TOO BUSY to Inspect his car !! He was told to come back on the 15th which he did ...and Again he was blown off and told They WERE TOO BUSY !! He left and went to Perry Buick and was done in 45 minutes ! State inspectors are suppose to stop all work other than inspections and do inspections ...I will be contacting the State Police to let them know this ! I have always used Firestone in the past at home in MS in ND and now here. I took my car in Sunday to have oil change on, and inspection done. I specifically said I needed oil change more importantly. I picked car up Monday morning thinking they hadn't done inspection, but nothing was done at all. My car stayed all day Sunday and that night and was still parked in the same place as it was when I left it. I only have one car. I dropped my car off around 9:30 this morning and was asked if I could leave it there because it would be a couple hours. I said that was fine. I called around 3:30 to check in it and was told that it would probably be 6 or so before it was ready. When I got off of work at 5 I headed over to check on the status of it and it was still in the same place I left it. I went inside to find out what was going on and they went and looked at something in the garage and came back and told me I was next. I asked how long it would be and they said it would be available "probably around 6:30". I asked if I could leave it there overnight and they said that was fine if that's what worked best for me. This location isnt in the greatest part of town and my car was in a corner, so I went to look and see if there was anything visible that I should be worried about and I found out my car was unlocked the whole day. Made appointment online and was early to the appointment. Spoke to the lady at the front desk and made sure contact information was correct and was told it would be done in about 2 hours. I went home and did not hear anything the rest of the night. Called the next day and was told they did not have my phone number correct. They said they couldn't get the truck out of park. Drove up to the shop and asked for the keys. Walked out to the truck, started truck, and low and behold, it went out of park. I drove it to the door and went back inside to close my ticket. Spoke to the guy at the register and told him that his mechanic must be incompetent. The less than gentleman at the counter said he was a master technician. Ha ha ha. Whatever flappy sack. I heard them laughing so I continued to listen. They were calling a women a wino and joking about it. I drove there and then they said if I left the car it would be done by 7 pm. I inquired why so long when initially it was 2 hours. They gave no explanation. Then I told them what I heard on the phone and they said I was lying.
