Heard everything from the dealership... it doesn't need to be replaced...drive the car a couple of miles...let the tires warm up...the psi is too low for the TPMS to detect it...(it takes 15miles to get to the dealership)... or just let it blink, it will eventually turn off...(yeah, when I'm no longer driving)... or you probably don't notice that it turned off... Boy, I really wanted to give this place 5 stars due to the energetic front desk lady. Very upbeat and friendly. I dropped off my car at 9. Asked for two new tires. Got a quote and said it would be ready by 2 or 3pm.... but if it got done sooner id get a call. 3pm comes, I call and to see if it were ready... same front desk person told me, not yet but should be ready by 5pm. So I mentioned, "ok, I'll be there before you close". I got there at 4:45, hoping for the TWO new tires. But no, still not done. Frond desk looks over her shoulder as if the car was in the garage and says to me "its not done yet, almost". At 4:55, I look outside and realized that my car hadn't moved from.when I left it at 9am. I asked her, I dont think my car moved... she then replied, ohh yeah we haven't started it yet. Knowing they were gonna closing in 5 min. I dont know how they would get to it in 5 min. As i asked for my key, she asked "are you sure, we can get it done in 30 min".... hmmmm, I ended up taking the car home still needing two front tires. read more

I'd RATE my experience at NEGATIVE 10 if I could. This review is not pitter patter about how my car did not get finished in time, or how rude or helpful the reception was, or about how the estimate differed from the real cost of repair......no, it is simply about the ability to diagnose a vehicles issue and fix then in the most appropriate matter in order to satisfy the customer. My post is about facts, which are not disputable when you look at the evidence. The fact is that I brought my vehicle in for service three different times for the same issue: Engine Temp Overheating. Maybe one could say that I gave them 2 too many chances, but I believe in making a strong and effective community by using the local businesses to carry out routine services, which I thought, mistakenly, that any car repair shop could manage. So I initially brought my truck in, around 12/15/25 due to engine overheating.....my truck engine temp would reach up to 240 F and tripped the Critical temp level a few times. Firestone technicians diagnosed the problem to be an engine oil cooler, which they replaced, along with the thermostat and engine oil cooler housing.....basically $1700 + repair. Then on 3/13/2026, I brought my truck back for the same engine overtemp issue. They gave me a discount for some additional diagnosis, but I still paid $263 additional for replacing some radiator hoses, which they thought were sub-par from factory parts. Problem persisted, and I brought my truck back on 4/9/26 for the same engine overtemp issue. They had Derek look at it and he said that for staters, someone had put No Leak fluid in the radiator, and that caused the engine to have a head gasket issue. He even said he saw proof of the No Leak fluid on the radiator cap! That is when I became super brilliant and took my truck elsewhere to a repair shop in Mira Mesa. They diagnosed the problem in 1 hour and ruled out any costly head gasket repair by blowing pressure on each cylinder.....seems like rocket science, but these guys could not do as much. Got the water pump replaced and all was good! Never, ever, am I going to go to this shop again, and I really suggest no one else does either.....they had the time to make it right with me, but they punted instead. By the way, forgot to say that they will respond to the review saying that I needed the oil cooler replaced, and I needed all the other work that was done for $1700, but that is absolutely not true. The problem all along was the water pump, which they missed entirely in the diagnosis. Be weary my friends.....be very weary!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Took my car in for a simple Battery Replacement. Made an appointment online. Took it in the next day. The guy behind the desk was busy on the phone when I walked in, but immediately acknowledged my presence and said that he would be with me shortly. After he was done on the phone we entered my info on the computer. I gave him my key. He gave the car a quick once over. And said they he would double check to make sure that it was the Battery (I was 99% sure that's what it was). Got a ride back home, about 25 minutes later he called to confirm that it was the battery and confirmed the price. I agreed to the estimate. About 40 minutes later he called and said it was done. I picked it up an hour later. Pretty easy. The only glitch in the process was that the original appointment that the computer system assigned me was at 11:00 am, but later on I was sent an email that morning saying that my appointment had been pushed back to 2pm. I used to change my battery myself, but getting too old now. It's much easier to take it into a local place to get it done. So far they have done a good job for me. read more

Kindly Disappointing I made an appointment to get a diagnostic for my broken a/c&heat. Carvana & my insurance referred me to get the service complete here as they are in network and covered under my warranty (supposedly). When I arrived the staff at the front desk seemed a bit annoyed. (as I was about 4 minutes late for my appointment). The man said "now that you're finally here we can see what's wrong with it because I'm not even sure we can fix it." He explained they don't usually fix heat issues. He spent about five minute at my car before saying he couldn't do anything because my cars' system was too "techy" and the issue wasn't my coolant. He explained if there was a coolant leak then that would be easier to repair but because there's no leak that means it's an electric issue which they don't do. I have a 2010 Acura RDX I asked if they could do a diagnostic to at-least figure that out and he said no. He kindly suggested I take it to a dealership and have them fix it. I appreciate the clarity and calm way he explained this, I was just very disappointed as I only chose this location because they are in partnership with my insurance. A different mobile company completed a diagnostic and received the exact code of the issue with ease so I'm unsure why Firestone couldn't run a diagnostic test but maybe they handle other issues better. read more

I had to bring my car in after having her die on me on the freeway weeks after taking it to another shop. I don't think words can praise Amy, the GM of the store, highly enough. She took the time and patience to properly look over my car. After figuring out the issue, she went over the invoice from the other shop I took my car to. She did this because the issue she found was just below the work the other shop did. Which was oil and power steering leaks. She pointed out that the other shop blatantly ignored the coolant leak, leading to my 2 year old alternator being fried. She also notified me that the other shop did not clean up my engine after supposedly fixing the leaks. There were more issues that she now has to fix due to the neglect of the other shop. She was patient enough to explain all of this to me and even helped me speak to the other shop owner in an attempt to get them to right their wrongs. Though we were unsuccessful in this attempt, she has been amazing enough to work with me to address the issues with my car. Omg I had went to a different tire place that was an exit closer to where I was and they were closed I'm so grateful Firestone was open. Here I am about 20 miles from home in my dad's car and noticed while I was driving on the freeway it just didn't feel right. And come to find out 3 tires where over filled at 50+ psi. They had mentioned that I was lucky the tires didn't pop while I was driving I could have lost control of the car. Doug the guy who helped me was very helpful I told him what I felt and he was able to make sure all tires had the proper psi I felt so bad it was hot out and he was sweating but he never once complained and had a smile on his face. Short version: DISHONEST MANAGER, PUSHES YOU TO DO UNNECESSARY WORK, ASSUMES THE CUSTOMER IS NOT EDUCATED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. Go to another location. Been a Firestone customer for over 20 years extremely disappointed with the manager at this location. Came in for my regular alignment service but the manager who spoke to me was extremely pushy in wanting to make a tire sale, lying to me about the services performed, and rude when I politely turned her down despite her being super aggressive to push for me to buy 4 new tires. How the situation played out: Her: Your tires are worn down to smooth (shows me pictures of my tires). Me: (I can see the tires are not yet down the wear indicator on my tires). Thank you for letting me know, I am still in the process of researching tires. Her: (in a threatening tone) Your tires are worn down, you need new tires, it's not safe. Me: (obviously I can see the tires still have life on them even in the pictures they took of my car, and not willing to be taken advantage of). Thank you for letting me know, I'll make that decision another day, I came here just for an alignment for today. Her: No, we cannot do the alignment for you because your tires are too bald and it will defeat the purpose of the alignment. Me: (Knowing she is bluffing) Let me see the alignment numbers please. Her No. (repeated previous statements). Me (At this point starting to get irritated). Ok, I understand you need to disclose for liability reasons but I am ok on tires for today. Her: The alignment isn't done, I refuse to do it for you because of the tire wear. Me: (realizing she is trying to holding the work that I signed for as hostage because I refuse to be cheated by her). Let me see the alignment numbers and when I am ready to buy tires I am probably NOT getting them from here because of how pushy you are. Her: (realizing that I am not backing down) No, the alignment has not been done and we cannot do it. Me: Ok, then I don't need the work to be done, I am leaving. Let me have my car back. Her: (leaves but then come back with documentation showing that the alignment has actually been done) At this point when I see the paperwork, I saw that the alignment actually has been done and her refusal to perform the alignment and that her claim that it was not done WAS AN OUTRIGHT LIE! When she was out of the lobby I asked another employee if she was the manager, and he confirmed that she was. When she came back I asked if she was the manager and she confirmed that she was. So ignorant of the law they won't tackle a basic muffler replacement. I have a recently purchased used vehicle that had a crappy muffler-delete done. I just want to bolt on a replacement after-cat Y-pipe and mufflers, but they flat out refused to even consider the job. "The smog bar is too high - Newsom wants all those cars off the road" she says. I reminded them that even in California, nothing after the catalytic converter counts as a smog component. Even CARB doesn't care about mufflers. Didn't matter. Took my car here, for a simple alignment and they damage something maybe a sensor and the Dashboard Lights came on which turned off my Lane assist, brake boost, and cruise control, the manager would not accept the mistake, and it was late at night so I decided to bring it back so they can try to fix it, the mechanic did not know how to fix it, I told him they would have to pay for this and they refused, so I sat on it for a while to figure out what to do and read about it to figure out what really happened, and it's apparent that something was unlearned that the mechanic did but couldn't relearn it and it is beyond me but it should have been paid for by them so I guess I'm going to have to sue them unless a district manager can get a hold of me and give me their email here so I can get this paid for as well as the alignment, when I brought it back in to have them look at it, they still couldn't fix it and the same mechanic left my wheel crooked and a different supervisor or assistant manager was there and told me that it was my tires but my tires did not do that before, they should have driven it to test it before giving it back to me. I left and never took it back, however I have had good luck at the Kearny Mesa firestone's always, there was one in National City on East Plaza Boulevard that broke my TPMS sensor and refused to pay for it because they said it was low battery, but I told them it doesn't matter because if the mechanic didn't break it which he admitted, then it would still be working now so he caved in and paid for it but nearly charged me for it, so I never took it back there again, if people had been taking responsibility for their actions at these places than I would take it back, below I'll upload before and after photos of my dashboard. Also I have a scanner and it never gave me any codes before I took it in so I know they're a lying about codes being on the car before bringing it in, I only changed the struts carefully, which was just a few bolts, and no error codes were going on, it was working fine, I had taken it to my prior mechanics and there were no codes there either. If there's a district manager or owner that can leave their email for me then I would love a refund and the payment will cost to fix the dashboard lights because I deserve it and no customers deserves this type of treatment, you guys make more than enough money to be able to pay back for a mistake. And no I'm not interested in communicating any more with managers at this location because I've already tried that. read more

Upon arrival, he greeted me with a friendly smile and asked if I'm Mei. He remembered my name and that I had my appointment at 9am. I handed him my keys and mentioned I was attending a funeral and could not be interrupted via phone, so he sent me an email when my car was ready. My car was available for pick up a few hours later. This was my first time visiting this particular Firestone location, and I was really impressed with the customer service. Date of visit: April 18, 2020 I was due for an oil change, but my local Firestone in Mira Mesa had recently closed permanently. Prior to the closure, they'd recommended the Firestone location in Rancho Peñasquitos to have my headlight bulb replaced... so it was to this location once again that I went to this past Saturday. Due to the current pandemic, after dropping off my car, I couldn't wait in the lobby... so I spent some time getting some lunch at the nearby Jack In the Box and waiting outdoors. Once I got the call my car was ready, I was able to pick it up relatively quickly. So, why the three-star rating? Easy - the staff aren't quite as attentive or friendly as my previous location. Even before the pandemic, they were kind of gruff... in fact, when I'd arrived to pay for my oil change, several other people arrived inside the lobby - and we were all rushed out due to social distancing regulations (there was a customer already inside that was being helped). Understandable, yes... but there wasn't any signage outside explaining the policy, and when I helpfully commented that a sign explaining why the customers have to be called inside, the guy at the counter gruffly said, "Well, I'm only here by myself." Yes, this Firestone location is a tad on the smaller side (only four bays in the garage, meaning a smaller staff), but the level of professionalism there could stand to be worked on. It's a shame that this is now the closest Firestone location to me; at this point I'm actually considering going to the one off of Convoy for future oil changes and maintenance. read more

This place is SCAM! Be super aware of this if you want to fix flat tire. I went to this place last Friday due to tire pressure alert. The technician checked my car and found a metal on it. I was quoted $20 fix and should be done in an hour. After one and half hour, I got a call from GM Amy. She informed me that the tire was beyond repair and needed total replacement for $260, excluding tax. I returned to store, found out just a small metal on the tire but she refused to fix it because "Safety Concern" . When I refuse to buy new tire she became dismissive and let me try other firestone or Costco SHE DONT CARE. Fine, I drove to Costco Camel Mountain in 15 mins. And Costco just FIXED the flat tire FOR FREE! Before I left this firestone, Amy told me she treated me decently without charge me spare tire install fee. The grinding abruptly stopped and as I looked back I saw the large plumber's wrench which fell out from under my vehicle. Fast, Reliable & Reasonable Service with Courtesy A few days ago, I got a big nail in a tire from one of my Mercedes Benzes. This vehicle does not drive much but I guess Shiite happens! So, after calling Mercedes Benz & finding out that the warranty is not good anymore, knowing that parts & service cost an arm & a leg at Mercedes, I called Amy Baker, the manager at the Firestone Complete Auto Care, next to me & I told her that I got a nail in my tire, what can you do me for? Amy said, if you're near, come on by & I shove you in between my appointments & take care of you! It was early in the morning & I made it there before 8 AM. Amy kindly & rapidly, took care of me. The tire could not be fixed because the nail was not in the center area of the tire but on the near side area. Also, the nail was a big one. So, I ended up buying a tire. The overall price, parts & labor was obviously cheaper than Mercedes & the brand Firestone Tire, is a well-known reliable brand. The mechanic shop & the waiting area was clean & organized. Amy broke down the deal details & got the technicians to quickly replace the tire, wheel balance, pressure & get it ready to roll. I called early in the morning & Amy was able to take care of me without appointment. I took a walk around the shopping center while waiting for the tire & then was chatting with Amy while waiting. She answered my questions about services for a couple of Mercedes and gave me some good info. This girl surely knew what the hell she was talking about! She in knowledgeable & informative about her job. I asked her how long you been here? She said not long in this branch but they transferred me from another branch to here. I am a fixer! I said, oh, you're the fixer girl! She laughed. Seems like when Firestone needs to cleanup, organize & fix a branch, they call the fixer girl! Of course, in the Mob lingo, the cleanup girl or the fixer girl is the one who cleans up the mess, the evidence & the bodies at the messy chaotic crime scene. She basically spik & span & neatly organizes the place before the cops arrive, well sort of like Amy, but hey, we don't want to go there, that's another story! Let's just say that Amy is good at organizing & taking care of business! Git'er done, Fill'er Up, Git'er Going, that's what I'm talking about! Good, fast, reliable service with reasonable price. Firestone is almost doing the complete car care service except engine & transmission overhaul! They do everything, take care of you and get you going. I had a nail in my tire, a run-flat tire, and it was leaking very slowly. The mechanic I usually go to wasn't open until Monday, so I thought I'd try Firestone on Sunday morning. I had let my mom go there in the last few years and she seemed happy enough. But it took less than a few minutes for them to tell me that the tread on my tires was really low and they just right away went to the computer and told me, as I was sitting there across the room with other customers around, that it would be $700 to replace the 2 front tires.. I was really confused because I barely drive - I've put less than 5K miles in the last 14 months on my car. So I decided to wait and take it to my mechanic on Monday morning - he told me that my tires were practically new. He patched my tire in less than 30 minutes, saving me tons of money. Dropped off my car for a tire patch and was told it would be ready by end of day. They close at 6pm. My son called at 17:00 and was informed that the car was ready and it would be $31. However, the closing clerk then indicated that he, at 5:30pm, had already closed the register and we couldn't get nor pay for the repair and we would have to come back in the morning. Most frustrating thing is that when we went to pay, I was told that the tire had never been repaired! Now I have to wait for Firestone to BEGIN working on the tire! DON'T GO HERE!!! I beg you! Even a one star is far too much for this place. I don't ever leave reviews but I had to warn people about this place. No one here knows what they're doing and they're all con artists... the first time I went they couldn't even change my tire valve stem after it broke. They ended up wanting to charge me for $700 for a single tire because they couldn't fix the valve stem. No that's not a typo! $700 for a single tire! You can go anywhere and literally get a whole set of tires for cheaper... What a joke!!! Please, just take your money elsewhere... Shoutout to Shorty's Tires in Escondido for doing a great job for an amazing value. Changed the tire valve stem on a Sunday for $30. HIGHLYYY recommend them. They are honest working people, and I will probably never go to another tire shop again. I want to emphasize again that this Firestone is filled with con artists who don't know what they are doing. They don't care about you, they will try to nickle and dime everything out of you, and worst of all, they are extremely rude. By far the worst customer service of any place I've ever been to. I simply don't know how anyone can put up with the bs that comes out of her mouth. Such a vile creature she is... The second time I went here they charged me $2000 for tires and back brakes. The only reason I agreed to such a ridiculous price was because I needed my car the next day and my break pads had worn through all of their friction material. After paying $2000 for brand new tires there was still an issue with the check tire pressure light still being on and now a master warning warning light. When I came back to talk to them about the issue they wanted me to pay even more money! A worker told me that there could be an issue with the tire I got, even though I got it from them... Letter to management: The bar is set so low, literally anything would be an improvement. Do better! read more

Great team of professionals. I made a 1P appointment for a potentially punctured tire. They went above and beyond my expectations. They put my car on their hoist, checked all 4 tires, and gave me peace of mind that my tires were in good shape. They also educated me on tire warranty. I saw they were busy as one of the only shops open Sunday. I'll be back for sure. read more

If all you need is an oil change, or air/cabin filter change, this place is fine. I give them 2 stars for a few reasons. They charge for tire rotations, which are free at several other places. In my experience, they usually try to upsell services, whether they are needed or not. Also for major repairs they seem very expensive. I brought my car in a few years ago when my battery light went on. They tested and found the alternator was shot on my 2011 Toyota Camry. The manager quoted me almost $1100 to replace the alternator and belt. That seemed really high, so I asked if he'd price match the dealership. He responded incredulously, asking what I thought the dealership would charge. He pointed to his computer showing me an estimate of 4 hours of labor. Something seemed fishy, so I took my car straight to the dealership. The Toyota dealership charged me $870 out the door to replace alternator and the belt, and it took about 2.5 hours to fix. If you're 25% higher than the dealership for any major repair something is wrong! read more

Horrible people and Custmer Serives! I had few appointments for an alignment for 2015 Nissan GT-R and they been making go back and forward! They even made me take off few of my parts on the body but while I go they turn there backs and telling me go back. Very unprofessional read more

I'm surprised this Firestone doesn't have a higher rating. My car had to be towed here to replace an under carriage skid plate that was broken and hanging. I had to arrange everything by phone because I live in RB and my car was in Mira Mesa. Amy was so helpful, friendly and responsive. In addition, the car was ready when she said it would be. I used to take my car to the Firestone in Mira Mesa that closed. It's good to know that there's another good one in the area. read more
