Great customer service. Was informed about the process and was able to have an easy drop off and pick up process. I called a little after opening and asked if there were any available appointments. They were very upfront and told me I could bring my vehicle in and that it wouldn't be available till about 4 or 5pm. I dropped my vehicle off for basic services ( tire rotation/inspection, wheel alignment, and oil change). I received a call a few hours later for an update and my vehicle was ready for pickup a little after 4. The inside was peaceful and quiet. We had four bald tires on the car after my daughter drove her Honda Accord to Seattle from Virginia. We couldn't find them any other place in the area and really needed to get home and Firestone came through. They got the tires on the car quickly. They were a very good price. They were very honest. Unprofessional services. We dropped off our car for wheel alignment. Told us total and invoice but showed another total including "Shop Fee." Scam? Invoice showed additional $25 Shop fee added. When asked they said we charge shop fee for every customer. Be Aware. Scam. Unprofessional services as they called and said car is ready to pickup. Upon arrival to pick up the car, they told car is not ready come after an hour. We had to go back second time to pickup our car. Poor and unprofessional service. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the Firestone location. I came in because my tire was losing air, and instead of properly diagnosing the issue, they told me I needed a brand-new tire. Something didn't sit right with me, so I took it to another shop for a second opinion--turns out it was just a simple repairable puncture. The technician was very helpful and put on a spare free of charge. Turns out it was all a facade. Either their technicians aren't thorough, aren't Knowles, or they were trying to upsell me unnecessarily. Either way, I won't be coming back. Two stars for the friendliness of the workers. However, be warned about this place. They can't wait to have you in their clutches so that they can over charge you. And that's why they are so friendly. What "I" should have done prior to phoning up the Firestone on Union and 4th in the Renton Highlands, was to find out what the going rates were for Firestone and for dealerships. Now granted, Dealerships have a reputation for over charging customers and you would be right to think that. Going to a local mechanic is always going to be more cost effective. But when it comes to Firestone, they are the top of the heap for outrageous prices for basic car needs. At least for me since I haven't checked Les Schwab or some of the other franchises. More than likely they charge what Firestone charges. Now, a B1 Honda service number is real basic stuff. Oil change, filter, lube, and checking fluids. Plus a tire rotation. But I just got new tires, so I don't need "tire rotation". Again, I should have called Firestone to see what their prices were before dropping off my car. "Dropping off"... interesting term. So when I asked if it was more time efficient to make an appointment, they said yes. Remember that. I've taken my car to the dealerships before to have this done and usually it takes an hour and a half at most, if you are there first thing in the morning. Which I usually am. So I asked what time is open on Tuesday. They said, how about 11am. Great I said, because I have a doctor's appointment first thing in the morning on that day. I arrived at the dealership on time and they logged me into their system and asked if I was going to wait. I said yes. So I went across the street to the coffee house to get some coffee for a bit. I figured an hour and 15 minutes should be about right. I walked back across the street. Asked if my car was ready yet. They said no. Ok, I'll wait here. Another hour and a half went by. I thought they would tell me when my car was done. Finally I had to ask if it was done. Then I was told that they were still working on it. After 3 hours they finally said that it was almost done. I asked how much it was going to be and they said $225 for basically an oil change, oil filter and lube. No tire rotation. Plus all those recommendations that they made sure I knew that they thought I needed all of them and that would be another $650. I took my debit card and ran out of there! $225 a basic service was already way too high. I left about 3.15 hours later without a receipt because I was told they would email it to me. That never arrived. What did arrive were all the recommendations that they kept trying to hard sell me in the store. So I had to drive back down there and get them to print out the receipt. We had a bit of a heated exchange. Double checking prices by calling Honda dealerships in the area, and here are the results: On average from those dealerships... $80 to $145 for the same service. And local mechanics are lower. And so the moral of the story is that this place has no morals when it comes to taking your money. Never, ever take your car to Firestone, unless you like throwing money away. read more

I called ahead to see if they could swap my winter wheels and tires for my own set of summer wheels and tires. The attendant said they could do it, and do it quickly, and it wouldn't cost that much. How late are you open I asked, he said that they're open until five. I said, "Cool, I'll see you up there this afternoon." When I arrived and told him that I had called earlier, he said they don't swap tires unless I buy them from him. He then proceeded to tell me about other businesses that do tire services like Discount Tire and Les Schwab. It's great to know about these other options, and I will definitely consider them the next time I need tire services. Came in for a quick tire repair. I tried making an appointment the night before and didn't hear anything from anyone. I came in at the time I requested and THANKFULLY was able to be taken as a Walk-In. So, word to the wise, if you make an appointment and don't get a call back or email stating you're confirmed, I'll call ahead to make sure you can be seen. I had no one to rely on for a ride so I stayed and waiting for my car. I think they were busy. It was a 2 hour wait. I brought a book just in case, but there was a TV playing some daytime Tv shows if you have nothing better to do and get stuck waiting. Not much for coffee or snacks. I ended up taking an hour and 40 min so I was happy. The guy was really nice telling me I probably needed new tires and explaining what they offered. I never felt pressured into buying anything so that was nice. Got my tire patched in a timely manner. Everyone was nice. Place was clean. Thank you! read more

I had an absolutely terrible experience. The staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional, and the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. From the moment I arrived, I was met with hostility from the staff, who seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other than providing any sort of assistance or service to me as a customer. When I tried to ask for help or raise any concerns, the staff members were dismissive and unresponsive, making it clear that they had no interest in providing any sort of customer service or support. The facilities themselves were poorly maintained, with equipment that was old and malfunctioning, and the overall environment was dirty and unhygienic. The entire place had a musty and unpleasant smell, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and nauseous. To make matters worse, the prices for the services offered were extremely high and not at all worth the poor quality of the experience. Despite spending a significant amount of money, I was left feeling extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Overall, I would strongly advise against visiting, as the rude and unprofessional staff and poor facilities made for an incredibly negative and unpleasant experience. 13 minutes agoNEW Absolutely terrible experience and took advantage of travelers from out of state. Engine started sounding bad in my truck due to engine misfiring when we were near Renton, our final destination. Dropped off the truck at 8:30am on Saturday 4/30. Told they could get us in and fix us up. Advised a list of repairs that was essentially a tune up and told us "that would fix our issues" and charged me $750 and gave us the truck back right before close for the day and before they were closed for Sunday. Spoiler alert, that did not fix my issue. At all. Reached out to the store manager a few days ago when I found time and he blatantly lied over the phone and said "we advised the person who dropped it off that we didn't have enough time to finish the needed repairs." OK, so why did you continue to do a tune up that wouldn't fix my issue?! Also I was there, my partner was NEVER told that. At all. They had no problem outright lying and taking almost a grand from weary travellers. Later took the truck to MY local Firestone and I got told that it's cylinder 5 in the engine misfiring and that "Firestone doesn't do that type of work." I've taken my complaint to corporate. Hopefully that solves the issue, but if not I will be filing a fraud complaint with the Attorney General. Absolutely ridiculous. 0/10. Don't trust these scammers. They gladly stole money from a young woman driving a long distance to get a family member out of a bad living situation. Disgraceful business practice and they should not be in business. JOHN and his team gave me caring, professional, expert customer service friendly, expert, no pressure or upselling, focused and taking care of my needs ASAP and keeping me updated thru the process, while i patiently sat and waited, ALSO, they did not only provide me with this GOAT level of customer service, but as i sat there for hours, i could hear and witness the same level of care, commitment, professionalism to ALL of their customer, whether they were in the store in front of them, or over the phone with customers, vendors, or other service supports. Semmlessly focused on their jobs but JOHN's leadership was outstanding because he made sure his team took time for breaks, and there was even an instore promotion and celebrations of a current FIRESTONE sale, and they even had time to be treated by a parts vendor for their lunchtime break. I have also received this level of care previously from John and his team, especially Dyllan and Chris so today's kudo is consistently why this store is so popular and busy and in demand by return customer daily. JOHN was especially sensitive to my current problem and also found time to reschedule my repair visit ASAP since it involved my brakes and moved up my online appointment 3 days, and again, i heard him offer the same level of personal ASAP attention to other ASAP walkins or phoneins. His goal is total and complete customer satisfaction, no excuses and he has his team acting in the same tone and manner, when i was taken care of by Dyllan at my last visit, his behaviors mirrored that of his leader, John. I felt Dyllan was just as caring and expert as and like John. This is an amazing car repair shop. Oh by the way, they did take care of my primary problem first, brake job, and did discuss and present to me a short list of recommended services, battery replacement, tire replacement, alignment service and their recommendations, but did not oversell or pressure me towards purchase today, Professional caring with goal of total customer satisfaction. John even did recommend and did sign me up for the Firestone Credit card, which again made me eligible for so many benefits, and did make be eligible today for discounts and price savings, no pressure just matter in fact, and did it so seemlessly it took just 2-3 minutesof both of our times today. Unfortunately they are short staff so they are limited right now and took longer than anticipated. Had to over an hour from my appointment time. Once my truck was in they were fast. Bought some tires from the tire rack for my classic JDM sports car. This was one of their recommended installers. The tires were sent there and I made an appointment to have them installed a couple days later. I arrive on time and they say 1.5 hours. I mention to not scratch the rims. I'm reading mags in the waiting area, which is kinda stinky, but whatever i'll cope. Pretty much right on the 1.5 hour mark it's done. I inspect the rims & they seem fine. Maybe some dirt and a small scratch or two. When I get home I look closer and notice three out of four of the tires were installed incorrectly with the "Inside" stamping on the outside. W.T.F !!! Now I need to drive back and wait for them to do it again. No rebate, discount, or anything. And they park it right out front this time, I'm not in the mag reading mood anymore. So, I'm watching from a far as they slap the wheels down like they are steel wheels off an old junkie car. I'm like you gotta be kidding me... Really! 45 minutes and they are done. Caught one of the techs on film taking my car for a joy ride. If it wasn't for the fact that HE filmed himself speeding and using a phone while driving, both things illegal, I wouldn't have known about their techs unprofessionalism. He posted him speeding on his social media which was sent to me by one of his followers luckily. The assistant manager, Chris, was polar opposite, being very professional and taking action right away. Not sure what has been with the tech, but I'll be returning when the manager is in store demanding action to be taken. If this what the tech is posting on his social media, I can only imagine what's done off camera and by the other techs there. read more

Have taken my vehicles here before for brakes and coolant and just came in today with a check engine issue after I had replaced a brake switch myself. No stars! First: you saw me limping up the parking lot and saw me go toward the door. You did not wave, smile, or ask if I needed help. Next: I entered and waited 3 minutes for you to greet me with no eye contact. Then: the phone rings...I understand you need to answer. Fine, ask me and then tell the person on the phone you can call them back...or at least tell me you will be right with me. Also, after your u finish your call and your delivery from auto parts comes in, don't continue to ignore me and start making small talk with her. Finally, when another associate, likely the manager type, comes in and also joins in the What's up hey to everyone except me, I know who is reaching this disaster. Moreover, don't let someone walk out of your building after I have been awaiting your attention. At least try to keep my business...but alas, you don't care. I cannot believe this shop is allowed to continue fleecing this area. My wife swore by this place, as the only reason her higher mileage car was still road worthy. It's been a year or more of taking this same high mileage vehicle to this place for tires, a bracket replacement, and now... the alternator. They had to redo the work three times because they couldn't get a part that worked. When they finally got it done, they asked if they could throw in a radiator cap to replace the one I had (which according to their tech had condensation around it). I said sure... and they put on one for a different model. This has done massive damage to my radiator and I now cannot drive the car. Now, I've had issues with the store manager, who's hostile to me in every interaction I've had with him, but always SUPER nice to my wife. Every time I drop the car off for service I'm told it'll be a couple hours and I can come back and pick it up, there's always a delay and I might as well have taken the whole day off work. I've mentioned that that's rough on my position at work, and firestone doesn't care. Which is fine. Not happy about it, but whatever. I've taken this to the Area manager. They said they'd issue me a voucher for $50. Didn't happen. I've been in communication with him since, but I doubt very much that they're going to do more than throw some pleasant sounding words at this and leave me with another bill for service, parts and labor. I can hear him on the phone with my wife now saying that they'll pay to replace the radiator, if their own in house inspection shows the radiator cracked due to negligence rather than wear. My trust in this business has been eroded beyond repair. I've lost so much time at work due to this business's lack of concern that I may end up losing my job. Thanks firestone!! read more

Walk-ins are welcome but you will probably be waiting a while for service. The staff is friendly and they always follow up promptly. All in all not a bad location. I could not say enough how happy I am with the experience! I have had my car rebalanced 4 times by various shops and none could do it like they can! Roadforce machine at this location is in perfect working order- and for a performance oriented car such as my e92 m3, I am very happy with the result. John is an excellent service advisor and I highly recommend his honesty and excellent customer service to all those looking for a reliable shop. From a simple oil change to a whole array of issues. Top it off with smug customer service, laughing at a customer trying to inquire about billing charges? Who in the world does that? Absolutely disappointed, do yourself a favor and look at other auto shops in the area. I was in and out of their shop multiple times in a two week period. How is this shop doing me a favor by having my vehicle begin tapping noises the day after getting it out of the shop? Then they put the blame on you, "well if you had paid more for the other recommended services we tried to tell you etc" Constant up sell. Mysterious issues days after getting the car out of the shop. This is the seventh time I have taken my vehicles to this Firestone location in Renton. Obviously, they have earned my repeat business by going beyond the required tasks to provide excellent service. Twice when I was getting routine maintenance work (one oil change and one tuneup with coolant flush), the team on hand was able to spot potential problems before they developed into serious and costly matters. This was a huge help as I was able to plan and save accordingly to avoid a huge problem with neglect. Brought my old Ford truck in for routine maintenance and they did good work at a fair price in a timely manner. They also did some repair work for me. I know enough about autos (and the condition of my truck) to recognize that it was a legitimate repair and I am glad they were able to get it done. They also provided a quote for some additional work. Some might call this upsell, but personally I appreciate the information even though I declined the work. If you are in the neighborhood and looking to get some work done on your car or truck do yourself a favor and give this shop a try. I would give no stars if I could. It has been a while since I had this bad experience in the Renton Firestone, but this is what happened; I was trying to figure out why my car was running funny and while it was in the shop they broke the console inside my car. When I went back in to tell them that it was broken they wouldn't even come out and look at the damage and instead told me to send them a photo! My van was STILL in the parking lot at this time as I pointed out to them. (So lazy) So I sent a photo from the parking lot of the damage and the manager told me that he would try to locate a new console and let me know. 3 months later and no word, so I called and they now said that I would have to find it myself and pay for it and they would reimburse me. On top of all that they told me the repairs I needed would be around $1000, so I went to another shop and the repairs they claimed needed to be done did not actually need to be done at all. I would never, ever go to nor recommend this shop. read more

Every time I come to this fire stone I am extremely disappointed. Either they mess up a repair are they miscommunicate appointments or they're so busy that they can't deal with you. This time I came to have my brakes checked. A couple years ago I had them work done here and they had to redo them right away because they were shaking. I would not use this place. Bad experiences from family, they left an oily rag uder the hood and started a fire.

My wife drives a 2011 Honda Pilot and when it began having trouble starting in the mornings, we called around to a few places until we spoke with someone who seemed to genuinely care about the situation. We spoke with Chris who was friendly and upbeat, he answered all of our questions and was quick with the paperwork needed to check us in. They had everything repaired within a day, which i know isn't always the case, but was refreshing. And the cost was fair. We began having trouble with the starter shortly after the new one was installed, and when we took it back to ask questions they tested and confirmed the manufactured part was defective and they had a new one installed promptly. If you're going to have an issue with a service, the biggest hope is that it's not a battle to get the company to take care of you, and that's why I'm giving them 5 stars. Simple competent service is easy, and if it works the first time you never think about it. But if you have a problem, it's important that you deal with a company or person that will offer a fair and honest resolution. And that's what we got. Thanks Chris at Firestone Renton on Union! I drive a relatively new Ford Focus, which has turned out to be one of the worst cars that own. Im not much of a mechanic myself, so I have spent a lot of money at Firestone to the point thaf i am getting frustrated with my Ford and am considering selling the vehicle! Firestone makes things quick and easy, very painless when you come inside and tell them about your issues with your car. Nice to know, right? Anyways, they charge you $100 to see exactly what is wrong with the vehicle which tacks on quite a lot to the already - higher than usual repaor bills! I have spent at least 400 dollars alone in investigation at least. I feel like that have always been honest, except for just recently when "my starter" went out and it was actually a bad fuel pump. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR/TRUCK TO THIS LOCATION FOR ANYTHING! This is a new location and my husband decided to take his truck in to get his alignment fixed. The guy that worked on his truck suggested that he get his cambers replaced since his alignment still was not straight after the first appointment. My husband made a second appointment and asked me to drop his truck off since he had to work that day. My husband assured me that it would only take about an hour and that everything was already set up and that I could wait for the work to get done. I showed up on time, if not a little early for the appointment and was told by the guy at the desk that it would take 2 hours. I wasn't happy about how long it was going to take, but still decided to wait instead of walk home or beg someone to pick me up. It took them 4 hours to finish the work that they initially said could be done in 1 hour and to top it all off they tried to rip me off with the cost of the parts and labor. Luckily my husband ended up getting off work early and met me at the shop. After my husband test drove the truck he went to pay for the work and he was taken by surprise that the parts and labor were more than double what he was quoted. The guy at the desk called for the manager to talk to my husband and all that the manager could say is that my husband signed for the quoted price and that he needed to pay for it. I immediately jumped in and said that it wasn't his signature and that there is no way that we are paying for something that we weren't quoted for by the guy who originally worked on the truck. The manager called the worker at home to find out what he quoted my husband. The manager began to scold the worker about quoting my husband a price that was less than what they pay for the parts. At that point the manager should have just let us pay what the worker quoted us, but the manager still insisted that we pay for the quote that I signed for. I asked the manager if they were trying to rip us off because I was a girl and figured that it would be easy to get me to pay the price that they quoted that day. I told the manager that I'm lucky that my husband showed up to clarify what he was quoted. It's a shame that a new location like this is doing BAD BUSINESS. My husband got the lifetime alignment and now we will never go back to this location even though it is the closest to our home. read more
