I took my car in for new tires I spent close to 650 dollars on 4 new tires with some kind of bogus plan.. 18 days later I have a flat tire. I called and was told to come in on Saturday at 8am the store did not open until close to 10am (so unprofessional) the car was there close to 4 hours just to find out that there wasn't anything wrong with the tire, one of the guys was very rude and lectured me on why haven't I checked the tire pressure (mind you it's been 18 days) I had my teen with me so I had to keep my cool as he was speaking to me in a rude manner!! 1. learn how to speak to your customers 2. Speaking to woman the way RAY did is disrespectful and unacceptable, his co-worker was sitting right next to him and did not say a word or step in to help the customer, I will never go there or recommend anyone to go there ever again, the first service guys that got me in for new tires was great.. I got an oil change here. They have the best deal in Santa Clarita for Synthethic oil. I used a $49.99 coupon from the Firestone website. To be honest, I was expecting an upsell of some sort. I'm a female and I've always gotten an upsell for services I don't need from men who think women don't know any better. I've actually been to a Firestone prior who definitely tried to sell me on $700 worth of services. This place just thanked me and sent me on my way. No upsell! Great service and nice employees! I scheduled an oil change service for a 2011, jetta, SE. When I arrived, the service guy charged me full price. I explained to him that I had a coupon for a full synthetic oil change for $54.99. He stated that the coupon was for most cars but because the filter on my car was more expensive, and my vehicle required more oil than others, the coupon did not apply and I had to pay full price. This is the first time I've ever been told that my vehicle requires more oil that most vehicles and that the filter and more expensive. I would understand if it was an SUV but for a 2.5 engine sedan? really? This sounded very much like a bait and switch tactic and needless to say, I did not get the oil change. Thought this place was my go to until today. Had the worse customer service experience by far. Came in this morning for an oil change and was told that if I came back in the afternoon I'll be taken care of no problem. Came back in the afternoon and of course the guy who told me to back isn't there. Instead I'm told there's no way they can help me today with very little to no empathy for what is been advised to do. I tell him I come here all the time and that I guess I'll have to go somewhere else and his response is "that's fine". Really? I guess this is how they treat repeat business. I got a flat on my tire but I did not see any holes or where it needed to be patched up. I first went to Mountain View tire and auto service and they wanted me to pick up my tire the next day just for a plug. I went to firestone and not only did I have a mechanic come up to me in the office asking what I needed done but he was able to put air, check my tire for holes, and replaced my valve all within 15 minutes. This place does good work. However, making an appointment to ensure a timely service is a waste of time. I made an appointment for an alignment and tire rotation at 8:30 am, arrived at 8:15 and they took over three hours to get the job done. What is the point of making the appointment????? I believe they should inform the customers if they are running behind. If I had known they were not going to be able to work in my car right away I would have come back at another time. Brayden was absolutely amazing, not only did he go out of his way, but he went above and beyond to help me with my truck. I am so happy with his service I would recommend him to absolutely anyone, However...the women at the front desk, both of them were absolutely rude. One of them was actually upset that Brayden went out of his way to help me. I was astonished...the other woman was just plain rude and clearly is unhappy with her job. This is by far the best place to bring your vehicle for any type of service. I haven't had one bad experience here. From the front office personnel to the techs working in the garage, everyone is 100% helpful. Finding a mechanic is tough out in LA County let alone a good service center that you can actually trust. I've been out in the LA area for a year now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. It took me a couple of times before I found them, of course after going through a couple of untrustworthy spots. In my career field I move frequently every couple of years and if anything I dread is finding a new mechanic. I like the feeling when I can just drop off any of my vehicles and not have to worry that the place is going to find anything possible to overcharge me. As far as I'm concerned mechanics are like doctors in Los Angeles, there's so many of them, but only a few you can trust. read more

As a woman going into a mechanic's shop alone, I am somewhat apprehensive (concerned they might "take" me for what they can get). The first time I went there to check something on my car (which was a few years ago - I'm late in writing this review), the manager, Harry, took me to my car, gave me goggles, and showed me and told me exactly what was going on with my car. By pointing to certain worn out or semi-worn out parts, he explained to me -- step by step -- in a way I could easily understand and see with my own eyes exactly what was happening to my car. It's been awhile so honestly, I cannot remember exactly what the problem was that time, but I will tell you I've taken my cars there for services and oil changes ever since. Not only is Harry a friendly person who is fun to talk to, but he is kind and you can tell he REALLY cares about his customers and giving them the best price and service he possibly can. I trust Harry with my car completely and don't have to question anything he says. read more

Honest! Helpful! You always wonder if you can trust mechanics. We often go to our local Firestone, but I'd never been to this one. I was driving last Sunday when my car acted weird and all warning lights went off. I was not near home but was close to this place. Got my car there. Though they had no appointments available, they fit me in. As I waited my tension grew and grew. They put the car up and 1/2 hour later the mechanic came out. He had bad news but good news. The computer tests were showing the engine was unfixable. However, the mechanic did some research and came back with paperwork showing me how things would be okay. There was still a thousand miles on the power train warranty. He said, this must be covered by your warranty, plus it was the subject of a recall. He told me to have the car towed to the dealer (so as to not jeopardize my safety) and show them the paperwork. I did exactly that and the dealer just informed me the manufacturer would be replacing my car's engine and fixing all the problems. Firestone charged a minimal diagnostic fee. They could have sent me away because they were busy last Sunday (9/15/19), they could have charged me a fortune for the diagnostic, they could have fixed some minor temporary things and let me drive past the remaining 1000 miles of my warranty. They didn't. They treated me like family (even offering me a hot dog, soda and chips). These people were amazing. They give you new hope that there are honest and decent people out there. We were visiting from the Bay Area and planning to drive down to San Diego the next day when we found ourselves in a jam. The brakes started making a grinding noise the day before we were supposed to drive down. Knowing what I know about brakes I knew that grinding was most likely worn rotors so I knew that would be some time and $$$. I was more worried about how fast they could get fixed because my wife and kids were waiting at the hotel and there's no way we could pay for an extra night at a hotel and be without a car. I took it to Firestone before they opened and was able to be the second customer. Even though there was only one technician in ,Rudy, he was able to get the customer in front of me done fast and start in my car. Rudy was awesome and Jennifer the service desk person was great. Rudy found the problem and even brought me out to the car to show me how badly worn down the rotors were. I got both front brakes and rotors replaced and rear pads replaced. Jennifer applied a coupon for $60 off before I could even ask her to. On top of that he removed a nail from my tire, tire rotation, and checked the fluids. Made it out with plenty of time to spare. Total job was $530 w parts and labor. Was it the cheapest? No. But it was worth the price for the speed and professionalism of their work. Firestone's customer service deserves 5 Stars. I just left another tire store because of a 3 hour wait to plug my flat. In fairness I was given the option to come back tomorrow (on Mother's Day) or wait 3 hours with the 2 other customers in the lobby. I decided to take my chances and go to Firestone. I arrived to a packed parking lot and waiting room thinking, (whatever ... I will just have to wait it out regardless of how long). The receptionist was very friendly and professional. She handled one customer at a time and within 3 minutes said, "let's go take a look at your tire and see what we got." She assessed my tire, said it should be no problem to patch it up and someone would be with me shortly. Within about 10 minutes, one of the mechanics brought me a nail as my souvenir and said he would have it completed in just a minute. As I look around the waiting room, I am now the only customer and the parking lot is clearing up. THEY KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THEIR BUSINESS!! read more

I brought my new Honda here in December. The problem was a low tire caused by a nail. I was quoted a 40 minute wait. Two hours later there was no action. I finally got their attention by providing negative feedback to the lead. On top on the inconvenience and being mislead as to the wait I was charged 30 bucks. WOW. This was an expensive patch. This place tried to rake me. I took it in for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake job. Instead of doing the brake job, they just wanted to clean the rear drums and flush the system. I had to beg them to turn the rotors. They also wanted to charge me $400 to flush the fuel system because "there was carbonization accumulating," which shouldn't happen because nothing before the fuel injectors is on fire. Then when I got my truck back, two of the lug nuts were brass nuts instead of chrome caps. When I asked them about it, they made up a lie about the chrome cover wearing down and breaking off, nevermind that the nut would no longer be the same size, that the nuts I had are one piece, that I have never in my life and 20 years of working on cars on my own ever seen such a thing on the cheapest of cars, and nevermind that I am an engineer and can not fathom in a million years what the point of making a lug nut in two pieces would be. Avoid them like the plague. read more

We have used Firestone a number of times and were always pleased with the service we received. Today, however, we were so impressed by our experience, which didn't include any work at all, that we decided to let others know. We took our car to the local Hyundai dealer for a recall. The service center there told us our brake fluid was "dark" and needed to be flushed. We decided it was expensive, so we called Firestone. Not only were they less expensive, but the man checked the fluid and told us it didn't need to be replaced. His honesty put Firestone very high on our list of businesses to use again. I don't want to say any awful things about the other Firestone locations I had to take my truck to within the last 3 days to get my truck serviced- because I don't want to jeopardize anyone's job- so I'll just let you guys know about my experience at the last stop, and the only stop I should have made. The customer service at the Firestone in the Newhall location was just hands down worth the extra 24 mile drive from my home. I have always taken my truck to Ric at the Firestone on Maclay in San Fernando because I know when I get back in my car, I have the peace of mind that it will drive the same way or even better than when I drove it off the lot in 2007. The guys here are straight forward and their service is always consistent. I take my car in for everything and I've never had any major issues with these dudes. It might be a little more than your average joe shop, but when I come to firestone I always know what to expect. They all seem knowledgeable and they give you recommendations for what you should be doing for your vehicle, not just jamming it down your throat asking you for money. My thing with auto shops is you get the job for what you said it was going to cost then you're on my A list. I was tired of increasing and fluctuating costs of other shops, but I always know what I'm getting here. The only criticism I have is that estimates are not always accurate and sometimes it takes longer than expected. I usually do these things on my day off to avoid any issues. I'm not one of those assholes who complain when they're 5 minutes late. If you ran behind, that's okay, people make mistakes, as long as it's acknowledged. Most of the time if they're backed up, they'll let me know and leave it up to me if I want to wait or not. Not that "Oh yeah, it'll only take 30 minutes" bullshit that turns into 2 hours. All the guys here are helpful and I would highly recommend this place. read more

We were down in the area for a wedding and as we packed up to leave our new car started leaking coolant and smoking! We drove over to AutoZone and they happened to be out of the part we needed. They sent us 1 block away to Firestone we walked in they greeted us nicely ran out to our car and started working on us right away. We explained to them that we were trying to get home and they worked hard ans fast. they explained to me and my husband why our hose broke and and out on a higher quality product. if we were local we would return for more services in the future!...... We were told that they are really trying to reshape there business and there reputation as they had some less than okay employees in the past and to us it looks like they work is paying off. read more

I have gone here at least 4 times in past 3 years. One of my car has lifetime alignment and these guys have been great at doing alignment once a year. The wait area has coffee and free wifi in case you are waiting there. The staff was courteous all the time and I did get a computer printout of readings during all my visits. Don't trust their evaluation on a used car. I took a used car to them for an evaluation during a return window. I expressed I noticed a small vibration and pull to the right. They said the car was in pristine condition and the problem I experienced would be fixed with a tire balance and wheel alignment. A few days later I noticed the problem still occurring and returned to have it evaluated again. They said they could not find a problem. I decided to have it looked at by the dealer and they found a bad CV axle. The dealer told me if I had driven it too much longer it would have ruined the transmission. read more
