Edit.2 -The management (Nick and Alex) would rather remove my review instead of take accountability…read morefor their actions. Plus corporate still has not reached out to me. For someone who is looking to get car maintenance done. You might want to choose a shop with a management team that isn't as bratty and stuck up. If you want to go to a toxic shop that dosen't treat their employees right, nor their customers over half the time then you're in the right place. I have had my vehicle serviced by Mavis in the past thanks to Chasin and Mitch. They made the experience smooth and easy they are not the reason for the 2 star review. AGAIN THE WORKERS ARE NOT THE REASON FOR THE BAD REVIEW. I have read so many reviews that are hidden in their multitude of them but they are all stating the same or similar thing. Yes some of their mechanics don't give a f because they aren't valued some actually do care. They are taught "policy" when a real mechanic would know how to keep a car safe. I have seen and heard first hand of the attitude from the "managers" of this business. Word of advice if your turn over rate is high look at your managers that seem to have such a big stick up their A. Edit.1- We have been trying to find corporates number but haven't had any success. If someone at corporate would talk with me I'd love to talk with them. There is a bigger matter at hand which I would love to discuss. My fiancé worked at Mavis from Feb 2026 to May of 2026. He would have still been there and not quit if due to Alex telling my fiancé that our miscarriage wasn't a valid reason for taking off work that day. We provided valid documentation to him which still didn't matter. I was a higher risk and ended up hemorrhaging and having to call 911 for borderline shock in which I almost died if he wasn't with me. As a company, there is a professional way to handle matters like this. One of them, not being that it isn't a valid reason. Alex is not a good manager and does not value his employees. They are narcissistic and manipulative towards everyone beneath them. They will say something completely uncalled for and then when you bring it to their attention they will (what's referred to in romantic relationships as) "love bombing". Even after hearing the conversations with Alex personally and my husband, and the google reviews you see when searching his name... I have come to an understanding of who he is as a person and none of those qualities qualify him as a manager. We had been in communication with him and provided the pictures (attached to this review). If Mavis has past employment information, please contact my fiancé Tristan LaFuze. Otherwise comment with corporates number and we will be in contact. This is unacceptable as an employer and it should be handled appropriately.

On Friday, June 29, 2018 I visited my local Discount Tire Store In Lubbock, Texas at 6306 82nd…read moreStreet 79424. I had a 4:30 appointment and arrived at 4:05. The store was packed and incredibly busy. Employee Justin Fenter immediately greeted me and took absolutely wonderful care of me. I was purchasing four new tires for my farm trailer. There was an issue with the size of tire I needed being compatible with my wheel size. Justin immediately communicated with me and absolutely made the situation better. His advice was spot on and he made sure I was a happy customer. The entire staff went overboard to make EVERY customer in the store feel important and quickly took care of all. I observed the tire installers (ALL) actually running out to the parking lot to get the next vehicle in line in 100 degree heat! Justin Fenter and this entire store should be recognized for going above and beyond in ALL areas of customer service. I have used Discount Tire for many years and purchased numerous and thousands of dollars of new tires and wheels. When I need something there is absolutely no doubt that I will go to Discount Tire. The customer service, attitude, friendliness, quality and prices cannot be beat anywhere. This particular store in Lubbock should be a training ground for all your future employees as they absolutely are fantastic and understand how a business should be run. I have never not seen them put the customer first and do everything possible to make all leave with a smile!! 5 STARS and an A+++ for Justin Fenter and this Lubbock Store!!! Please recognize them and tell them that their customers appreciate absolutely everything that they do!!!!THANK YOU DISCOUNT TIRE!! Since this time, I have purchased tires from this same location for my truck, my ranch truck and my son's Jeep. Still very impressive!! I had excellent experiences on every occasion and highly recommend to anyone! One tip: get online and make an appointment- you will get in at that time (unlike the doctor, dentist, or proctologist). They honor the appointment time and it easy to schedule!!!

I asked the gentleman about that and he told me that the tires I had on there were the wrong size and he put the correct size on there. After I drove 60 miles home, I looked up the correct tire size and my car did have the correct size on it when I brought it in there.. I called and explained my issue and drove 60 miles back up there to prove to them I got the wrong size tire. They corrected the problem but I shouldn't have had to make two trips to get the correct tire the salesman that waited on me flat out lied. I dealt with Stephen and Ted the second time and they were professional and truthful, and solved my issue.

I came for the free brake inspection before Christmas break travel due to the squeaky brakes. They…read moresaid nothing was wrong with my brakes. Shortly after, they quoted me $2200 in repairs and replacement parts. Said I needed to replace the CV Axel, and suspension shocks. This was about a week ago. They made it seem as if the repairs were dire. For context, I'm a college student so $2200.... I laughed in his face. After driving 12 hours home EXTREMELY SLOW and getting a second opinion at a Toyota dealership, all I needed was an oil change and oil filter, and no mention of any other issues or repairs. If you're a woman, young adult, or college student DONT go here. They're gonna play in your face, play with you/ your parents money, and play with your time. Corporate will be contacted.

That the oil filter was not extra, and was included. After I arrived, I had to wait for a coupon to be texted to me for the $44.99 oil change. Oil filter was extra $6, shop fee of $5, and one of the employees kept making comments about the coolant, insinuating that I was stupid for not getting a coolant change. Look, I know I need coolant, but perhaps I could do it myself for cheaper. Regardless, very unprofessional. The text was taking too long so I ended up just using a military discount. The military discount wasn't as large as the current promotion. ($20.50 off vs $25 off respectively) but the tech assured me the military discount was greater. Found out it wasn't. Tried contacting customer service, and was put on hold inevitably. I also partly blame management for not informing the guys on the floor about promotions. They should know what a customer is talking about when they talk about current promotions. Also customer service wasn't available. A company should act in unison, not a bunch of individuals. 1 star service.
