Tried to extort new tires instead of rotating for me like I asked. Waste of time going there. MATLOCK and Tire Discounters are much better

I drove my 2004 I35 for the appointment at Firestone in Lenoir City with Nick on 7/17/25 at 7:30 AM to get the alternator replaced. I was told the new part would be there at midday and would take 2 hours. I called at 2:30 and it hadn't been worked on yet. I called at 4 and was told it is next in line. At 5 they called and said it would be done at 5:45. I showed up and paid the $866.00 bill and was handed the keys by Peter, I went out and started the car and it stalled a few seconds later and would not restart, Peter and I looked and found a disconnected wire next to the alternator. He told me he would have them look at first thing in the morning since all the techs had already left for the day. The next morning Nick called and said the car started and drove perfectly around the building, but later he took it for a longer drive and it stalled and would not restart, they told me they could diagnose it for another $150.00. around 3 PM, Adam called and said I have good news and bad news, the good news is, it starts and idles but will not accelerate because it went in to "limp mode" because of all the problems and told me even if they did all the work, it might not fix the problem. Including. ENGINE SENSORS 462.18 CODES COME UP FOR CAM POSITION SENSORS AND THROTTLE BODY SENSORS. TECH WIGGLED WIRING HARD ON DRIVER SIDE FRONT OF ENGINE AND VEHICLE WILL START AND RUN. I went out the next day and bought a new car. A coworker has a car trailer and offered me $500.00 since the car was not drivable to take it. After the coworker got the car home, he opened the fuse box and found the 15 amp throttle motor fuse missing. He took the headlight fuse and put it in the throttle motor position and the car started and drove perfectly, and there was no check engine light or codes. He sent me pictures of the missing fuse and fuse box cover. I called Nick and told him about the missing throttle motor fuse and he told me they never went into the fuse box but he will check with the techs the next day. Nick called me back and said the techs were in the fuse box to remove relays but never touched the fuses. Nick asked what I wanted to remedy the problem, so I said since I sold the car based on it not driving with needing a throttle body, cam sensor and crankshaft position sensor and maybe a wiring harness and is in "limp mode" And the only problem was that somebody removed a fuse that would not let the throttle motor function and keeping the car at idle caused me to sell it at a $3500 loss. He said he would file a claim with corporate, and I would be hearing from them. I was called by Leon in Nashville, and told him the exact story, and emailed him the pictures of the missing fuse and the car running with no check engine light on. He said he would look into it and get back to me. The next day he called and said they are denying the claim because I didn't have them do the work or take it to an electrical place they recommended, and just because I drove the car in with it accelerating fine with the fuse, I can't prove they removed it. For me at best it was carelessness and at worst it was deception and gross incompetence. I have worked on cars all my life and was still misled because I trusted them to be honest and own their mistake. read more

Took my truck.. my 2500HD.. to these guys for an alignment and a tire rotation because my truck was pulling to the right. Came back and looked at my tires and they had not been rotated. If I had not said anything, they would have charged me. Was also told they could not get my steering angle sensor to reset and that I would have to go to the dealer. Took my truck to another place in town, they rotated my tires and checked the alignment trying to figure out why the sensor would not reset. They showed me the print out of the alignment check and it looked like it had not even been aligned. Thrust angle was good.. 3 other measurements were out of spec. They performed the alignment correctly, the sensor reset, and my truck no longer pulls to the right. Go to Tire Discounters.. not this place. read more

I brought my Chevy Express 3500 van in for a front end alignment. They did something that caused my power seat to stop working. The seat worked just prior to bringing it in as I had moved it back to eat lunch and then forward to drive to the shop. The mechanic claimed he thought it was a manual seat, so not sure what he did to try and move it as now it no longer works. I tried talking to the manager and he was belligerent to me and wouldn't let me speak. Then he hung up on me. I should have known better than to think Firestone was better than they were 20 years ago. AVOID!!! read more

Lesson Learned - Apparently, if you do not specifically spell it out, it won't be done. I received a wheel alignment and the tire pressure and condition were not considered. The web site states: Inspect suspension and steering systems, including air pressure and tire condition. I left and all four tires were underinflated. Also, when they say "Do you want us to check anything else?" and you say No (thinking paid services), there is absolutely no attempt to extend complimentary services. When I questioned why my tires were underinflated, they said "Oh you declined additional services". As shown above, they did not even do what was paid for. read more

My front tire had a nail in it and would not keep air. I had an old tire patch kit and put it in a little bit so that I could drive it to Firestone. I called them on 8/14 and made an appointment at 4pm the next day. I got there around 345 pm. At 445 pm I asked when they were going to take care of my tire, the lady said in a few minutes, they only had one mechanic, but when I looked out in the bay there were 3 guys smoking and taking. I went back to the lady and she said they would get to it now. About 5 minutes later without putting the car on the lift. She came in and asked if the tire was patched, I told her I had put a temporary plug so I could get here. She said that they couldn't fix it because it had already been patch. She then started talking about a new tire. I said just give the car and I'll take somewhere else to fix it. I will NEVER go to Lenoir city first one again! read more

Alternator went out on my car on a Sunday night while traveling to Florida. Called first thing Monday morning, and they got me in right away. Hour and a half later, it was fixed. The only negative is that the price of the parts was a little high, but the service was awesome. read more

I made an appointment online for 3pm, I show up and they say there was never an appointment. I show them the email saying I have an appointmen, they told me I had to call and that the manager tried to call me, I showed them my call history of that not being true, still not oil change... read more

We have a 2008 GMC Acadia. It first started last August 2021. Our family was on our way to Florida from Tennessee. We broke down on the highway from the oil leak causing the belt to get taken off. We got our car towed to our hotel and our uber driver took us to an auto store to get a new belt. My husband put the new belt on and called the Firestone in Altamonte Springs 369 FL-436, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. They knew all the work that needed to be done and they assured us it would be completed before the end of our trip. My husband dropped the car off and had his daughter take him back to the hotel. Then we received a phone call next day that said they couldn't do it. My husband left a bad review for that store. That store then fired my husbands son because they blamed his son for my husbands bad review. Then we come back to Tennessee. An 8 hr drive of terror and mass anxiety because im driving on a car that can break down any moment with 2 kids We called the Lenoir City tn location they told us they can fix it over the phone. Also i forgot to mention both locations printed out work orders so they knew the scope of work. Lenoir City: Retail work order #101073 Emailed: 3/31/2022 Store # 903192 The day we were supposed to take it to lenoir city that location said they couldn't do it something about their master mechanic not being in. They said to send it to Maryville location. Lenoir City sent the work order there. Upon review from the Maryvillemgr he said that the Lenoir City location misquoted us. Lenoir city said the job was going to be approx $2600. In Maryville  they said the job was going to be $4281.90 because they have to take the engine out to replace the master seal. I got the credit card. My husband and I dropped off our vehicle. We live 40 mins away. My daughter's boyfriend brought us home. Then we get a phone call the next day saying they cant do the job. They knew exactly what the job entailed. The knew I applied for a credit card specifically for that reason. My husband asked them to rotate and balance the tires and they did that incorrectly. They took off the weights on some of the tires now my car doesn't drive right. My husband was an auto mechanic and he knows exactly what the job entailed and he noticed the tires right away. We are both extremely upset and disappointed. We have been long patrons of Firestone. My credit score was affected by the credit inquiry and getting the new card which apparently I cant use. Now we have a car that every so often over heats and the belt comes off from the oil leaking. Its summertime and we can't turn on the air conditioning because when we do oil comes out more. Everytime I drive the car I am extremely nervous for my safety and my childrens. It has taken me a while to write this because this whole situation makes me extremely upset. We have all of the paperwork that was given to us by all the locations. We dont have cash to spend on this fix. Thats why we were going to put it on our Firestone credit card. Thats why we even applied in the 1st place because the 1st location told us they could fix it. After all of this we do not want to even buy our tires from here anymore. We are extremely disappointed and we tell our story to everyone we meet letting them how Firestone has treated us. read more

The gentleman at this branch helped me out during my travels from Maryland to Texas. I had a bad vibration at 6am. Drove here and was there when the opened at 8. Got me in quick on a Sunday, teat drove my car to diagnose the issue. Money was tight because of my travel expenses. They got me approved with the Firestone card. Save me $20 when I chose to finance my cost for the repair and had me out and back on the road by 12pm. A++++++ read more

Was experiencing trouble with my cars front end and visited to see about an alignment as well as diagnosing another issue. I explained to the man, who had a thick accent, that I thought it was the tie rod ends and I had some new ones from a mechanic that flaked out on me. He stated that they do not use outside parts, even though this very well may not have been the issue, and didn't offer anything else to try and win my business. Had a tire blow out near here on a cross country road trip. Called around and this place was able to get 4 of the tires I needed quickly. They (mainly Florin) were super friendly and helpful throughout the morning, and got us back on the road. read more
