On three different occasions we scheduled an appointment online and rec'd confirmation for easy work (oil chg and tire rotation) and every time it took over two days to get it back. I dropped my car off at 3 P.M. for a brake check because online it showed free inspection. I left it overnight because they said they would get to it first thing in the morning (7 A.M). Come 9:30, I get an email saying my appointment is for 10 A.M. No big deal because since it's free I'm sure they have more important things. I called around 10:30 to check up and they said the technician's name was on it and they would look at it soon. They didn't call back until 12:40 and told me my service would be almost $800. I called gateway and their price was $360. I go in to pick up my car and they charged me $11 for the check. It didn't break the bank but it's the principle. So i went to this firestone 5 YEARS AGO. I STILL THINK ABOUT HOW THEY HANDLED MY OIL CHANGE. I brought in my little Mercedes and waited for FOUR HOURS. When they were finally done they told me 'it took so long because we had to move everything out of your trunk to your backseat.' Like what kinda business is this? Now that im older i know better. Do not go here. I had a screw in a tire that could not be patched so we purchased a tire here and also had them rotate the tires. Within the next week all of my tire sensors went out. Coincidence? I had this fire stone replaced the first one that went out for $230. The next ones that went out, I went to discount tire in Collierville and they were replaced for $89 each. I would never go here again and everyone needs to know how bad they overcharge for service. read more

Jeanne, Jada and Alex are wonderful and friendly staff!!! Doing my time there they kept me informed during the serving of my SUV until it was completion. I have to say that I am very satisfied with their work. I cannot begin to say how happy I am with the whole experience! I will be back and refer others who are looking for honest customer service. Do not go here. Save yourself the trouble. Made an appointment and they called me before it and asked if I could come in tomorrow instead. Came back the next day and they cancelled it. Walked in and three employees just sitting there doing nothing but talking didn't even acknowledge me. NOT GOOD Last Tuesday (early Nov), my nephew's car was vibrated when it reached 70mph on Highway 385. So, I made appointment with ROBERT, then drop it off for inspection and alignment with the technician named THOL... I picked the car up at 6:30 PM and it could not even reach 30mph without shaking so badly, it felt like the front tire was going to fall off. I barely made it home that night and so mad at myself for trusted this place. TO TECHNICIAN THOL: Why the "Tie rod inner" came loose badly and a whole steering gear misalignment (it leans to one side) so bad after you inspected it? I had to drive home on 20mph speed. Please tell me you did not mean to do that!!! :( TO MANAGER ROBERT: you should take more responsible and asked your technician to see what happened instead of saying: "I don't know. I didn't check your car in so I can not say the car was that way or not!". I made an advance, on-line appointment for 7am Monday morning for an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived at 6:58am. They didn't open the door until 7:03am. Not the best start, but it's Monday morning. I can't blame them for being a little sluggish, right? Then they took walk-in customers before me (with my 7am appointment). What the heck is the point of a reservation then?? I was here once before and I was pressured into making an appointment then. It is 7:57am as I type this, and I am watching the mechanic JUST NOW start my oil change. I was concerned when they didn't take my car into the service bay (which was totally empty when I arrived) until 7:20. I didn't expect them to ignore it for 30 minutes after that. Like Seinfeld says: "they know how to TAKE the reservation. They just don't know how to KEEP the reservation!" As the previous reviewer mentioned.... yeah, yeah, yeah, the building is new, the attendant has teeth (WTF??), and there are seats for children. Otherwise, well below average. This is the second chance I have given this place. Skip them. One star. One more note.... Last time I was here I got a hard upsell attempt on an unneeded alignment (maybe they're having a sales contest at the customers' expense??) on a 3 month old car. What? Was I born yesterday?? Weak. Had purchased four Firestone tires with road hazard warranty about a year ago. Got a nail in the tread of one tire so came in to get it plugged... literally a 15 minute job. First they told me that they were understaffed and I'd have to leave the car ALL DAY. Even though to me that was already a ridiculous amount of time, I tried to be understanding so I did without fuss, only to get a call several hours later saying that they couldn't get to it and I'd have to leave my car OVERNIGHT! Seriously?! For a 15 minute tire plug?! What a joke! So remember this, if you go into buy tires and they add in their road hazard warranty, look the manager in the eye and ask up front how long they make tire repair customers wait for a simple repair, and let them know that you read this review. It probably won't mean much if anything to them, but if at least you can get them to quote you a timeframe that's not insulting you can try to hold them to their word. No one should have to leave their car overnight for a 15 minute tire repair. read more

This brand-spanking-new Firestone sits between Poplar and Poplar Pike, right where they intersect, just before the Collierville line. The store is FAR more attractive and clean than the Exeter store, and the staff is neat as a pin! Everyone was well-spoken, seemed to have all their teeth, etc. I pulled in with my two kids and a nail in my tire that needed patching. My usual go-tos in Germantown for a nail repair could not help me (the full service guy was out sick, and Valvoline no longer does tire work). They looked very full, with every service bay working, and several cars waiting to be serviced, for things like tires, check engine lights, and basic work. It didn't look like they'd be able to take us, but their last guy came back from lunch, and we were ready to go in about 45 minutes, and under $40. The waiting area had about 6 chairs, 2 little toddler seats/table, and a few toys stashed in a stack-of-tires toy box to occupy the kids. A TV and basic coffee maker keep things moving along. Now that we're in the system, I won't hesitate to come in for tire replacement or repair needs- they can order anything you need, though it may take a few days for special items. Next time I hope I can make an appointment and drop off. No complaints! TIP: If the weather is nice, you're within walking distance of a nursery, chinese food, a bike shop, gas station, Fresh Market grocery, liquor store, and Walgreens. read more

Got a call on Thursday that everything is good to go then they attempted to upsell an alignment package. Show up Friday morning to get tires installed and after sitting in waiting room for :45, installer comes over and says the tires didn't get delivered. If I could give zero or negative stars... I would. Horrible customer service! I get it, day after a holiday will be busy but a nail in my wife's tire didn't care. I travel for work and needed a quick patch before heading out of town so that my wife wouldn't be stranded for a few days. Called them up, prepared myself to be told they were busy and could get to it in an hour or two, but oh no... the guy that answered the phone told me he could get to it on FRIDAY. I asked for him to repeat that as I couldn't believe it with today being Monday! Sure enough, Friday before he could get a tire patched. I understand that a tire patch isn't going to make the big sale of the day and he didn't want to fool with it. Guess what... Although they didn't make that time frame, they stayed overtime in order to finish working on my car so I could have it back before they closed! Awful service. I took an appt at 7am and I was the very first person in the store. I was served by "Rob" who had a smile on his face the whole time. That's where the positives end. He had a long chat of a big list of things that I should get done to my car - even before looking at my car. After a while, I was able to finally decline every thing and just requested to only do the service I came for. He went on to the next customer, and once again, Rob went over a list of things that customer should get done without looking even at his car - same exact method he used on me. At about 7:25am, they had taken other cars in, and mine was still waiting outside, even though I was the first one and I was told that it will be served first. I asked him why my car wasn't the first one in and I could tell he wasn't very happy I asked. They took my car in at about 8:00am, almost an hour later. And then of course, once they were done, Rob had more stuff he wanted to sell me. Never going back to this place again. This place is the rip-off auto repair place you have always heard of. Took our car there because of a low tire. Told it couldn't be fixed and that it would need to be replaced. Took it to the place where we got the tire and they not only fixed it but said it really wasn't an issue. They told my friend that his tire couldn't be repaired because he had used fix-a-flat. That is blatantly false and they knew it and when my friend challenged them on it, they began to change their tune. These guys are just flat out dishonest. read more
