I spoke with James and asked could he get me in as a walk in and he didn't try to BS me , he told me that he would do the best he could but wasn't going to promise me, but they pulled my truck in and by 9AM had me out the door, this would have been a 5 star review but the tech didn't put any valve stem caps on any of the tires, but overall not a bad experiences. read more

I guess when you buy their tires, get brakes done and an oil change, they get you in and out. But when you come back for only the included tire rotation, it takes you 3 1/2 hours. First I was quoted an hour and a half. Okay. I can do that. Then when I come back at an hour forty, waited in line for my turn, I'm told they haven't started yet and it'll be another hour. I see very few cars and customers. This is not the first time this location has been this way. So the convenience of multiple locations is not helpful if you have to wait twice as long as the farther location. I'm not impressed with this company. Can not believe what has happened to it. Incredibly friendly and fast service. The employee I checked out with, Aaron, was really quick and transparent about everything I needed to do for my car. He even offered me specific advice as to how I can upkeep my Volkswagen since I am pretty clueless when it comes to this topic. I came in because my engine light was on and Aaron was really shocked that the last time I changed my oil was almost a year ago. I didn't make an appointment beforehand but Aaron immediately put me in. It was about 90min for a synthetic oil change, oil filter change, and an inspection (most of the time was because they were waiting for the oil to drain out of my car since it became almost tar-like). Everything together was about $60. It's usually over 80 but I think Firestone is running a few promotions in January. The 60 also includes a free tire rotation which I scheduled for another day alongside some other maintenance. At the end Aaron printed out everything I needed to do for my car in the next three months and talked me through each point, even offering cheaper alternatives to certain items. I had a really great experience here and will definitely be back when having car issues in this area. read more

I paid for an oil change, timing belt, and water pump. They "forgot" to do they oil change till I drove home and saw the old filter. They did it when I went back, yet that afternoon I noticed it was 2 quarts low when I checked. Engine shuttered after the timing was done. Told it was spark plugs. Replaced them and still had a shutter. Didnt do it before. The timing is off. 6 months after a "new" water pump it just went out and I had to replace it. Again. So I paid for 3 things. 1 they didnt do, and fessed up when I caught them and they fixed it, but not really. The other they did wrong and blamed something else. The 3rd they did wrong or sold me used parts, or something. I have no idea. Dont go there. For anything. read more

Do not take your car here. On 7/27 I took my 2008 Toyota Prius in for a break job and alignment and a full vehicle inspection prior to a road trip. This was done the same day and I was also advised my cabin air filter and struts should be replaced. I was not told of any other issues. The next day, having traveled about 15 mi since picking up my car, several dashboard indicators turned on. The parking break light, ABS, VSC, TPMS lights turned on when they had not been on the day before.As I did not experience any issues with the car, I proceeded on my round trip that day (a total of about 50 mi).My car drove smoothly and without issue. Because my car was driving fine I figured the shop had tripped a sensor while working on my car, it had happened before.I trusted their report that no other issues were found.I drove my car to work and back all that week.The following Saturday, I made multiple trips across town and back helping my partner move.All of this driving was done without issue.The indicator lights remained on. I returned to FS on Sunday the 4th and let them know the indicator lights were on.Scott proceeded to hook up the diagnostic tool to my car and turned off the indicator lights.No inspection was done. I then drove to a car wash 2.6 mi away. When I exited and proceeded to drive, the same indicator lights turned on.I called Scott again to let him know the lights came back on.Scott said I would need to drop off my vehicle for them to take a look at it.This would be the second inspection. I returned my vehicle to FS.I received a call from Scott that his technician, when working on my car the prior weekend, had connected the wrong diagnostic tool needed for a hybrid car such as mine.This triggered the sensors and, according to Scott, only the Toyota dealer could reset them. Scott assured me this would be on his dime as it was the shop's error that led to the malfunction.It was an inconvenience for me to have to do so, as I need my vehicle for work, but I told him I was glad it was nothing more serious than that. Driving away from FS for the third time, I noticed my brakes were now malfunctioning.When I would begin to apply pressure the car would lurch before stopping.This had never been an issue before.It began suddenly in the moments after I drove away from FS. I called Scott to let him know that this had just begun and to add the brake issue to the ticket when sending my car to Toyota.I dropped off my car the next day.Scott said he hoped I would get it back that afternoon; at the latest the next day. I was called by Juan at Gatorland Toyota.I relayed the indicator lights that continued to stay on despite FS giving it two inspections.I also described the sudden issue with my breaks after picking up my car from FS.Juan said he believed the ABS actuator had failed and had an internal leakage.When I asked for the price he said roughy 2,800 before taxes. This caused immediate and intense distress as I had already been told by FS that there was no issue with my car.FS is denying liability and claims that the ABS Actuator could have already been failing.But, as the person who has been driving the vehicle for the last 5 years, I have never experienced the issue I had on Sunday after picking it up from FS. I have spoken with Scott in several occasions.I have asked If there was already an issue with the actuator, as he claimed, then why did they not alert me to this very critical failure in my break system when they did TWO inspections? He claims that Prius' are "not like other cars." The fact that they are attempting to deny liability based off of ignorance, when their job is exactly that (to diagnose and repair cars), screams of automotive malpractice.If I had known of their incompetence I would have never put my trust in this repair shop. I called several other shops in town to see what options I had.I had a very positive interaction with Chris at Fisher's Auto Repair.I was informed that FS has a reputation in town for causing more harm than good.Chris went above and beyond to answer my questions.I highly recommend Fisher's, and will be going there for my maintenance and repair needs from now on. read more

Expensive & didn't take care of what I asked about (noise car was making). Put in new spark plugs for $400-($46 per plug that you can get for $16 elsewhere - told me they had to put the ones under warranty in and I couldn't "bring own steak to a steak house"). They checked some fluids (brake) but not oil which was 2 quarts too low. Granted hurricane evacuation happening and closing early but I got taken w/hurricane - in my own neighborhood. Horrible service! new manager has no clue about costumer service, the manager's simple answer after waiting all day for an alignment, at 6 pm, was, if you don't like it go to a different place, we didn't have time to fix your car. What an answer!!! at 6 pm!! when everybody was closed!! We dropped the car at 11:00 am and we called at 1:00 pm to check on it and make sure they can do the service and they assure us that will be done in a couple of hours.... what a joke!! Normally I would do all my own repairs to my vehicles. Because of recent surgery my doctors tell me not to lift more than five pounds. I needed a starter replaced for 2002 Town & Country Mini Van. This place quoted me over FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS! Outrageous, the best starter for this van a Bosch only cost one hundred and fifty something (google it). I asked how much their starter was, was told three hundred and something and the rest was labor. Back when I was a mechanic repair shops used to automatically double the price of a part, so if a part from say Napa or other parts store cost us ten dollars or a hundred dollars we would charge the customer twenty or two hundred dollars. You get the idea I did not know this practice still went on. I called around found Bruce over at Hurricane Alternator & Starter on 1111 S Main St Gainesville, FL 32601. He quoted me, now this is starter with a life time warranty and installation all labor at One hundred and sixty nine ninety for everything. Take a wild guess where I'm going? Just for your general knowledge and most starter replacements are similar, here are the steps to replacing a starter. 1: open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. 2: raise vehicle so you have access to starter. 3: disconnect two electrical connections on starter. 4: remove two bolts attaching starter to engine. 5: wiggle starter to remove. 6: install new starter reverse the steps taken to remove starter. Should take no more than hour, even if the vehicle is in the driveway up on jack-stands and your laying on your back under it. I have no Idea where this shop gets off charging such a high price I guess there are uninformed people that will get service here I just won't be one of them. read more

On 10.20.17 I brought in my vehicle, I asked for rear brake pad replacement along with tire sensor check. I also asked if it would be done in two hours due to me traveling out of town. Representative stated would do a "courtesy check" for free and make sure all tires were at correct pressure. He also stated they would call if additional work was necessary as well as when the work was complete. My receipt documents my "in" time at 11:06 am. I noticed the attendant put in the ETC (estimated time of completion) as 2pm. I left and began calling at 3:43 pm. Twice, continued ringing, no answer. Third time at 3:47pm gentleman answered phone and put me on hold. After a few minutes another gentleman came on the line apologized that the job was not complete but was in the process of completion and shouldn't be much longer. The location claimed to close at 6pm so around 5:30pm I headed back over. While sitting in the parking lot I noticed my vehicle still elevated in the bay. At 5:43 the guy (I can remember his name if I hear it) in charge called and said now I need rotors at an additional $200. Are you kidding? Over six hours later and the brakes still aren't done. I hung up and called my husband, frustrated. I walked inside and told them to simply put the pads on and I'll take my business elsewhere. He said my rotor was "collapsing" and it wouldn't be wise for me to drive away in these conditions. My husband advised me rotors can't collapse and to get the pads done and nothing more. The job was then complete in twenty minutes or less. The receipt states "out" time being 6:15pm. My tires where not checked as one still needed air. They were in possession of my vehicle for seven hours, just to do twenty minutes of work and charge me $100 in labor. I trust Firestone, but this experience made me question my loyalty. So I wasted 2.5 hours and they instructed me to wait an additional 2 hours before they would complete the tire rotation and two wheel balance. Two hours later I asked about the status of my car and the manager said it was about to be done. 20 minutes after that I got my car back with no explanation as to why it took so long. So I went to this place hoping for quality service. Well I should've kept looking cause you can't find it here. The AC on my truck went out and I took it here to get repaired. $1600 later I get my truck back. I understand that they had to take my dashboard out but I guess careful isn't in their mindset. My dashboard has slight gouging as does my driver side A-frame pillar. My A-frame pillars were not put in correctly. And the dash light on my temperature gage on my cluster panel was not working anymore, and it was working before I brought it to them. I took the truck back for them to fix the problems that they made. On my way there I noticed that my cupholder was making a rattling noise it never made before. After I tried to explain all this to the mechanic, he made it seem like it was my problem because this is something I should expect whenever I get a repair that is this in depth. I tried to explain to him that after spending $1600, my truck should not have any additional damages to it but the problem fixed and regardless of how big or small the damage is that is unacceptable. So after I left my truck with them (which I should not have done and that was stupid on my part )to try to fix the interior, he called me and told me that they're going to charge me for the lightbulb because it was "burnt out" more like they dropped the cluster panel too hard when they took it out the first time. They said they had to charge me because the lightbulb was a dealer only item. Which is lie. I told him not to worry about the lightbulb because I did not want them charge me anymore money. Whether it's just circumstance but when I picked my truck up again the spindle under the hood of my truck is now whining and my check gauges light came on which it had never done before. It appears as though my battery isn't charging. This place is garbage don't go here. Oh and by the way I had to leave my truck overnight at the place two times over this whole thing. I guess because they're too busy screwing other people over. Not going back here. I advise you all to not go here either. read more

I went in to fix the driver side window, after taking it back three time, the window would only go up half way. Tried telling me there was short in it. I said it was working fine when i brought in here, ten minutes later he said i just touched it and it was fixed!!!?? I called B.S. went home and one day later my tail lite went out, i looked at it and found the plug was loose, go figure.Be careful when going there. I was visiting from out of town when my car broke down on a Sat. night. My car was taken to the only open service center in GNV, where I was honestly informed that it would not be possible to make the necessary repairs the following day. I called another Firestone in GNV and was quoted 200$ more for the repair and uncertain if could be done before close on Sunday. By chance my friend of mine called the Firestone on Main St. and from the start it was a great experience, Kristian, eased my anxiety of the repairs being done that day and assured me they would do all that was possible. He was not just giving me lip service, we spoke often throughout that day as they were running diagnostics on my car. I arrived minutes before closing time 5pm, in time to see the staff leave after a full day of work. It was very comforting to see that the mechanic, Dakota, and Kristian, who I had been speaking all day, AND Justin, a recent transfer from Alabama, remained and where STILL working on my car. After multiple trips to gather parts and other equipment to make the repairs, they were finally completed about 4 hrs after closing. I can't express my appreciation more for these guys, they were always aware of my desperation and need to be able to drive 3hrs home that night. They constantly reassured me that it would get done and never made me feel like an imposition. I will be bringing my car back for other repairs next time I am in town, mostly in a show of support. I have been a customer of Firestone for 10 years. I recently replaced the 4 tires on my truck, being the third set of tires that I buy from Firestone. The price for the last set of tires was about $680. When my vehicle was ready, the customer rep from the Firestone Complete Auto Care on Main Street called me to let me know that I needed to replace my front brake pads and rotors ASAP. He stressed out the urgency to replace them since the pads and rotors were at the end of their life and it was not safe to drive. The quote for the brake service was around $550-600 on top of the tires. I know my truck, and I knew that the rep was probably lying, so I declined the service. Just to be safe, I took my vehicle to a mechanic that I trust, and surprise surprise, after his inspection, he found out that the brakes were in good shape and I had more than 40% left on them. Offering services that are not needed is fraud. Firestone Complete Auto Care on Main Street please stop lying and scamming people offering services not needed. You were trying to get an extra $600 from me from a service that I did not need, and because of that you lost a 10 year loyal customer. read more

I originally replaced all four tires along with the lifetime rotation and alignment. I had received such great service that I decided to allow them to replace both front and rear brakes, rear shocks & battery five months later (at the same time had my tires rotated and an alignment done). They did a superb job and am very happy with this place and their service. They will be getting more of my business in the future. I highly recommend them. read more

I called ahead of time to see how long the wait was to get my son's vehicle in and was told 10 minutes and that they had a full crew working today. I sent my son with his vehicle and he arrived 20 minutes later at 2:00 PM to have a tire patched due to a nail. Two hours later they had still not taken his vehicle back to work on the tire and when I called to inquire what the holdup was, I was given an unsatisfactory answer that he was in the same place in line that he was when he got there. When I questioned further about the "10 minute wait" that I was given there was no explanation... I was also told on my original call that they had a full crew and it would be no problem to get him in and out. After I expressed my displeasure, another hour later my son was told that they could not patch the tire because "the nail had gone in at an angle". They conveniently had waited until closing time to disclose this information so that I could not get to help at any other tire stores in town. Very unprofessional and they have lost mine and my family's business. The following morning my son went to Tires Plus and they were able to patch the tire with no issue in a very timely manner. Tires Plus gets my recommendation all day every day from this point on and Firestone has lost my business. read more

I would never recommend anyone go to this firestone. I payed to have a oil change and I literally waited almost two hours. After completing my oil change I had them run a diagnostics test in which they can solve my car problems. They were in possession of my car for six hours after telling me the job was going to be complete in an hour and thirty minutes. On top of lying about the time it would take to fix my car, an associate said that they forgot to contact me to tell me how the job was going. After dealing with that they gave me a almost $600 estimate to fix a minor problem that took about $1 in parts from O'Reilly's Auto Parts and wrongfully diagnosed my car problem and were going to charge me to put in the wrong part for my car. If you're reading this, I hope you can avoid going to this place because they will try and get over on you!!! They charged me $101 to wrongfully diagnose my car and would've charged me $600 to fix a part on my car I got fixed two months ago. read more
