Being a woman it's always a toss up bringing my car in to a mechanic and bracing to be "talked down too" about what needs to be done. But not here! A&R respected me, understood that I already knew what I needed done and never tried to upsell me in anything. Their diagnostic check comes with photos showing you exactly what they find and they were so friendly going over everything with me on the phone and discussing what I should do in the future for tune ups without trying to push me into anything today. My battery terminals were replaced and my car was seen and repaired in about a 3 hour turn around! Pricing seems fair, repairs are never cheap and diagnostic prices are on par with dealerships. I am writing to formally document the ongoing issues I have experienced as a direct result of the…read moreoil change service performed by Jiffy Lube. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, unnecessary costs, and undue stress for me and my family, and I expect this matter to be resolved promptly and professionally. I contacted the District Manager, Tina, which she has finally responded regarding my concerns. Tina dispatched another manager, Chris, to my residence on 1/23/23 on Fort Campbell to assess the issue. However, Chris was initially unable to gain access to the base because he had a GUN in his vehicle, which he had to remove. This unprofessional conduct delayed the process unnecessarily. Chris, who manages another Jiffy Lube location on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, inspected my vehicle but could not definitively determine the source of the oil leak even after adding more oil to my car so that it could leak out on the drive way during his inspection. Chris then contacted Tina and told her the car was losing oil fast and they decided to tow my vehicle to the Wilma Rudolph location for inspection, citing the presence of a certified mechanic who could assist in assessing the damage. However, Tina and Chris ultimately delivered the findings, raising questions about whether a certified mechanic was ever involved in the evaluation. Despite my reservations, I agreed to have my vehicle towed to the Wilma Rudolph location under the condition that it would be towed back to my residence afterward these conditions were made clear with Chris. On 1/24/25 my vehicle was picked up from my residence on Fort Campbell and towed to the Wilma Rudolph location, Tina and Chris confirmed that the oil was leaking from the engine oil cooler. Tina insisted, however, that Jiffy Lube was not at fault because the oil filter housing was undamaged. This claim ignored the fact that the engine oil cooler and oil filter housing are interconnected components, and a faulty oil change can directly cause oil to leak from the engine oil cooler gaskets--a known issue in such cases. Their attempt to absolve Jiffy Lube of responsibility was suspicious, especially given that Chris himself admitted during his visit to my home that issues like these frequently arise from poor service at the Fort Campbell Boulevard location. At this point, my vehicle was removed from the service bay, and it was clear that they had no intention of addressing the damage further. When Tina asked how I intended to get home, I reminded her that Jiffy Lube was responsible for towing my vehicle back to my residence. Tina initially refused, stating Jiffy Lube was not at fault for the damage so why would they pay to have it towed back to my residence? After a heated exchange and confirmation from Chris that he had indeed agreed to tow my vehicle both to and from the Wilma Rudolph location, Tina reluctantly arranged the tow. However, her begrudging attitude and comment that she "didn't know why they were towing my vehicle back" clearly indicated a PREMEDITATED decision to deny any fault. The delays caused by Jiffy Lube's mishandling of the situation caused me to miss picking up my child from daycare even though I told them I had to be back home by 530. Thankfully, my husband, who is preparing for deployment, was able to arrange for her pickup by notifying his leadership of the emergency. It is critical to emphasize that the engine oil cooler and oil filter housing are interconnected. Faulty service, such as the oil change performed by Jiffy Lube, can cause oil to escape through the engine oil cooler . This issue is widely recognized in the automotive industry. Chris and Tina acknowledged that the leak was from the engine oil cooler, yet refused to accept responsibility, further demonstrating negligence. Additionally, I was informed I would need to take my vehicle to another mechanic for further disassembly and inspection before Tina would even consider approving compensation to me for the repairs. Despite their claims of having a certified mechanic at the Wilma Rudolph location, it is apparent that no such professional was actively involved in diagnosing or addressing the issue. This added burden is unacceptable, as the damage was clearly caused by Jiffy Lube's negligence. Another unresolved issue involves my vehicle's skid plate, which was removed during a prior inspection at the Fort Campbell Boulevard location by Bruce, a manager. The skid plate was not replaced, and Tina assured me it would be ordered and sent to the Wilma Rudolph location. As of now, this issue also remains unresolved. While at both locations I met multiple people with similar issues we all exchanged contact information and they asked me to inform them of the outcome and how to properly handle this situation we have all found ourselves in thanks to Jiffy Lube.
