Being a woman it's always a toss up bringing my car in to a mechanic and bracing to be "talked down too" about what needs to be done. But not here! A&R respected me, understood that I already knew what I needed done and never tried to upsell me in anything. Their diagnostic check comes with photos showing you exactly what they find and they were so friendly going over everything with me on the phone and discussing what I should do in the future for tune ups without trying to push me into anything today. My battery terminals were replaced and my car was seen and repaired in about a 3 hour turn around! Pricing seems fair, repairs are never cheap and diagnostic prices are on par with dealerships. I feel like my money was well spent with a crew that cared! Will be my new go to mechanics in town for sure. Thank you!

I was not told my car would be taken out for a test drive, inspected for anything but my AC. I received my first phone call, telling me about the problem with my AC. It could be corrected; the cost would be $2065. My second phone call was to inform me the mechanic had found other issues with my car, plus the mechanic had broken my engine oil dipstick. There would be an extra charge to me for the replacement of the dipstick. My car had just gotten a complete checkup 30 days prior and except for the engine oil leak none of the other items mentioned were found at the prior inspection. when I went to pick up my car, I was directed to the credit card reader to make my payment. Upon review of my statement, I seen that I was charged for using my credit card. No one told me there was an upcharge for using my credit card. I was also told that my oil change was 10,000 miles overdue. I asked if anyone had checked the windshield sticker, to actually see when my last oil change was done. That was a collective NO. I would not recommend this A&R auto repair on Warfield to anyone.

One bolt was chewed up pretty bad where it was sticking half way in and out. Which beat the hub up pretty good. What I paid Binkleys for the mess they left me and the new mechanic, im out of pocket about 800 as of now! Still Trying to locate bolts to put back in the hub. So disappointing. A wolf in sheep's clothing…read more As the saying goes, "The devil is in the details." I was traveling through Clarksville, TN, from out of state when I was referred to Honest-1 Auto Care by a fellow church member. I brought my vehicle in because of a leaking power steering hose. They replaced the leaking hose and told me a mandatory power steering flush was required because the system had been opened. I agreed, even though I had already had the power steering system flushed about a month earlier. The total cost was approximately $700. The very next day, I discovered that the power steering reservoir was empty. Honest-1 Auto Care acknowledged that the problem was caused by their work. During the original repair, they had moved another pressurized power steering line--the line supplying the brake Hydro-boost system--too close to the pulley assembly. The pulley subsequently sliced the hose. I brought the vehicle back the following day. They had it repaired within about an hour. However, instead of replacing the damaged hose, they cut out the damaged section, installed fittings, and used hose clamps to splice the line back together. I was told this was a proper repair. It wasn't according to General Motors. The following day, the power steering reservoir was empty again. At that point, I specifically requested that they replace the line they had damaged and repair the problem properly once and for all. The next day, I was told they could not find any leaks and suggested that the empty reservoir was most likely because they had not flushed the system. They then wanted to leave the temporary splice in place, refill the power steering reservoir, and send me on my way. That was not acceptable. I was already traveling out of state and had a long drive of approximately 4,000 miles ahead of me. The power steering system also operates the brake Hydro-boost system on my diesel vehicle. I was not willing to gamble on a temporary repair that had already failed, especially when I was far from home. Because of this situation, I had to cancel reservations and make new arrangements, costing me additional time and disrupting my trip. Ultimately, I paid $144 for a new replacement line. They installed it at no additional labor charge. They also did not perform another power steering flush. Instead, they bled the system to remove the air--despite previously insisting that a flush was mandatory whenever the system was opened. I appreciated the fact that they acknowledged their original mistake and ultimately installed the replacement line. However, the overall experience left me feeling that I had paid for a service that may not have been necessary, and that the repair could and should have been done correctly the first time. What concerns me most is that I was an out-of-state customer, traveling on a schedule, with limited options and thousands of miles between me and home. I can't say what their intentions were, but the way this situation was handled left me feeling that my circumstances were taken advantage of. My advice to anyone using this shop: ask questions, get a clear explanation of what is actually required, and carefully inspect any repair--especially if you're traveling and don't have the luxury of returning home to your regular mechanic. A repair shop earns trust not just by patching up a mistake, but by taking responsibility and making sure the customer leaves with a safe, properly completed repair the first time.

The car has over 300,000 miles on it but has always run like a brand-new vehicle, so when I started having issues with it struggling to accelerate past 40 mph and having trouble going up hills, I knew something wasn't right. When I first got the vehicle, we took it to Pep Boys, and they recommended that we visit a muffler shop to have the catalytic converter inspected. It was rusty, and although there weren't any visible holes or broken parts, we were told it was fine but I found out that that's not a part that you could just inspect from the outside. A family friend of ours, Demetrius R, who is a mechanic initially offered to do the work for us at a great price, but he actually ended up recommending Kraft Street Muffler -- and I'm so glad he did. I ordered an OEM catalytic converter from AutoZone ahead of time, and when I called Kraft Street Muffler for a labor quote, I was shocked to hear it was only $150 before taxes. Even better, they were able to get us in immediately, and the entire job only took about an hour. The technician who serviced my vehicle was extremely friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to educate us about the car and explain things in a way that went above and beyond what I expected. Since the repair, there are no more check engine lights on, and the car runs even more amazing than before. Faster and more powerful. Overall, it was a smooth, affordable, and trustworthy experience. I will absolutely continue to use and recommend Kraft Street Muffler to anyone needing exhaust or catalytic converter work.
