This is an update to an earlier review I made in which I gave this facility 2 stars. I had to get a tire repaired (wound up needing replaced) that had ran over a screw and needed an oil change - so but the bullet and took my truck to Firestone, even though I had a very bad taste in my mouth from the last experience. The manager, Scott, is very professional, yet reasonable man. He had reached out to me to work on a way to repair the problems with the last vehicle repair. His associate (my apologies for not remembering his name) was a professional as well - yet very personable and took care of the issues I needed. So, they couldn't patch the tire - but my warranty covered a replacement. Unfortunately they couldn't get a tire to the shop today. But they are doing what they can to get the correct tire for my truck. To mitigate the issue - my oil change was free. I did not demand this. I did not ask for a freebie for any of my frustrations (4th nail or screw of some sort in 3 months). They did this because they wanted to make things right. You see the meme all the time - "Change My Mind!" Well, Scott and this other gentleman did. I am very happy with the customer service, the work of their technician, and professionalism that they provided me today. I will return for service. read more

WARNING‼ Do not take your car here‼Worst experience ever! Took my car in for an oil change and they had my car for 2 hours. When I got my car back I couldn't even drive out the parking lot I had to have my car towed to a mechanic. My oil pressure light was on and my car was making a loud noise and when I went inside to ask what happened to my car because it wasn't doing any of that when I brought it in he lied and said my cars oil pressure light was on when I took it in. He also said the young guy working on my car was new. They destroyed my engine. The mechanic said they started my car without any oil in it and then had my car back there 2 hrs to try and cover it up. They also erased my car codes with their diagnostic tool. To cover up more. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. There are tons of stories online of them damaging peoples engines. I would be careful who I trust to change my oil from now on after Firestone damaged my engine. My car was in 100% good working condition when I took it there. My car didn't have any problems until they touched it. read more

I wish I could give this zero stars. First of all, I will take responsibility for the fact I should have known better than to take my car to Firestone for something other than tires. However, it was the weekend and no one was open close by to tow our car to... so we just went to firestone since in their name it states Firestone COMPLETE AUTO CARE. So the worst I expected was to have to pay a few extra dollars for taking it to a chain auto shop. While at tjmaxx on Saturday, my car was turning on but would not start. Immediately knew that my starter was probably the problem. Now I have a very reliable car that has barely given me any problems besides a car battery issue that was replaced with a new battery last year. I called firestone and asked if they could get me and they said yes. Had my car towed from tjmaxx to Firestone on wilma. Went back home and they called me saying yes I am going to need to have my starter replace. They quote me $450 and a few change for part and labor. I have work on Monday, so I tell them okay just go ahead to do it. I need my car to drive to work. I go pick up my car and I ended up having to pay $560??? Did not try to make that big of a fuss in the store, because at this point I just want to take my car and go home. They tell me that they found that my air intake hose was cracked. Asks me if I want him to order that and fix that for me too or would I like to do it another day. After just paying $560, i told him yeah I will just do it another day (was not in the mood to pay another $300). He says okay, hands me my keys and I go. I drive off and start to feel the car driving funny. My car is shaking uncontrollably and the gas won't really go. Every time I press on the brakes, my car shakes even worse. I get scared and pull into a parking lot very confused why I just got my car fixed for $560 and now my car is breaking down 10 min later. I am now sitting in the same parking lot we started at. I turn off my car and try to start it again and NOW MY BATTERY IS DEAD MY CAR WILL NOT EVEN TURN ON. You can imagine my frustration. I call them and tell them this and ask them what can they do for me. They tell me that they can get a tow out there to tow me back to firestone free of charge, but the maintenance to check out my car again and fix it will be on my expense. I just do not understand how any respectable auto repair shop can knowingly let a customer drive off in a car that they know would break down in a day....nonetheless it broke down within ten minutes. Not to mention how they told me one price on the phone to confirm if I wanted to do it, then having a completely different price to checkout. All in all, I told them I will not need the tow to come back to their shop since I do not want to be scammed and lied to. My theory is that the part was cracked whenever they were working on my starter and is passing off as just something random they found. I started my job in nashville on Dec 5th and had my car inspected for the purpose of me having to make long frequent drives and my peace of mind. That thorough car inspection was held Dec 1st. I take care of my car, and again, have had not a single major problem with it before this. So coming in for a starter and coming out with this result is truly so disheartening. AGAIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE FOR ANYTHING IN REGARDS TO YOUR CAR. I do not think I would trust them to even rotate my tires. read more

I came here and experienced poor customer service. I had an appointment to get my car serviced today at 1300. I arrived on time for my appointment and when I arrived there was an employee speaking on the phone. I waited patiently as I did not want to interrupt. After about 2 minutes of me waiting, he acknowledged me and said "I'll be right with you." As I continued to wait, he ended his phone call and answered another one. After his second phone call, he called the gentleman sitting down behind me. While he was helping him, the phone rang again, and he helped that customer as he multitasked to also finish helping the gentleman at the counter. He finished up with both of those customers and I thought he'd help me next. I waited there patiently but then the phone rang again and he answered. He didn't put that person on hold to help me. Instead, he continues to assist that caller and looks at me and says, "I'll help you in a minute." I decided to leave because it had been 10 minutes of me standing there and him helping others but failing to assist me or even get me checked in for my appointment. I'm not sure what his reasons for delaying assisting me, because he could obviously multitask. There may or may not have been racial bias and this guy (who says his name is Scott - about 6 ft tall, average physique, with gray and black hair, and glasses) could learn how to assist every customer without racial, gender, or any other type of bias he may have. Side note: I filed a claim with Firestone and I was informed the manager on duty is Joseph. (I'm not sure if the guys name really is Scott). read more

Got my tires and oil change here try to get my brakes done but they were telling me that a lot of more things needed to be done and I told him that I just wanted my brakes done and the guy said no we cannot only do that we have to do the full thing which I understand it's a real liability on them but at the same time them denying services of what I just want was kind of annoying and then they didn't tell me all the work that they were going to do till it was already done so it end up costing a leg and an arm I spent almost $1800 in just an oil change and my tires and I drop my car off at nine in the morning and barely right now at 7 PM they are finishing it they didn't even get started till 6 PM even though I dropped it off at 9 AM which was really inconvenient because they told me it would take no more than 2 to 3 hours to do it and it end up being way longer than that and they were very rude and I think it was very unprofessional that they did work on the carThat I didn't request and ended up charging me for it without even me having a saying if I did or did not want it done read more

I've had nothing but excellent service from this particular Firestone location (Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in Clarksville.) I set up an appointment online, bring the car in, leave it, they get to it in due time, and I pick it up. What could be easier?! What makes this location so good is the attention they pay to the customer and by extension the customer's family. Recently, my partner came to pick me up while I had the car serviced. One of the guys (and I really regret not getting his name to give him a personal shout-out) noticed that his tires looked low. So he asked my guy to drive over to the air station so he could check the air pressure in his tires. He filled the tires appropriately, and did it all at no cost. Is that service, or what?! I've never had a bad experience with this crew. They're knowledgeable and are able to give an accurate estimate nearly every time. And on those rare occasions when they find an additional problem, they know how to break the news gently and keep the cost as low as possible. Others' experiences may vary, but I've got nothing but kudos and roses for these guys. read more

This is a two part review. Here's for the store: Came here today for a flat tire. My mom had a flat tire while at work; so I helped my step dad go out there and change it. We took the tire off and carried it over to Firestone. They didn't seem very busy; as there was only one person in the waiting room. My mom had paid for the warranty on the tire. We asked about getting it patched and how long it would take. The man behind the counter said it would take about 5 hours to have someone patch the tire. Not really sure why, as the tire was already off the car and in their possession. Part two: A nice employee, Daniel, who appeared to be taking his break was sitting in the waiting room while we came in. He overheard our conversation and offered to cut his break short to patch our tire. What AAMAZINGGGG customer service demonstrated by Daniel. He didn't have to offer or cut his break short. The other worker was literally going to have us wait or come back in 5 hours for the tire. Daniel got off break, took the tire and returned in about 10 minutes. Tire fixed. I was amazed by how fast it was fixed; especially since we were originally quoted a much longer time. We are very appreciative of Daniel. Y'all need to hire more people like him. read more

Parking lot wasn't even full. 2 hrs later a lot of people are pulling up and they are getting worked on right away. I have been here a few times for tire changes and oil change and never have I had to wait more than an hour. They always suggest additional stuff but are not pushy and you are always told the price before you accept service. They may not be the most cheerful bunch, but service is always quick and done well at better prices than elsewhere...so I can overlook the lack of cheerness. read more

For the Technician that did the alignment on my Car, Great Job! He was friendly, did his Job well, and spoke to me with excellent Customer Service! The only reason I'm giving two stars. For the Manager, and Service writer, I expect much more. At first I was greeted kindly. I purchased a lifetime alignment through firestone... they said that had no issue working on it and getting it done. Until there was a problem, there was a bent strut, from that point forward, they service level diminished rapidly. Speaking about profit margins in front of the customer is never, OK. I understand in their in the business of making money. That doesn't mean I want to hear you talking about it just 4 feet away from me. That didn't make me feel valued at all. Other than that, once the Service Writer realized it would take work on his part to quote the repair because the part was not easily findable, he became short and very rude. I typically refrain from writing bad reviews but I can't believe the bad information we got at this location. I had put brand new tires, mounted and balanced, on the car immediately before bringing it here for what I thought may be a brake problem. I paid $10.00 for their diagnostic and was told that the car needed new front and back brakes and rotors replaced. The quote was over $800. I probably would have had them do the work if they hadn't also said I needed the tires rotated and balanced. Wait... the tires I had put on less than 2 hours ago need to be balanced? I decided it would be best to get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. I took it to another independent mechanic who said the brakes have about 30-40% life left but there's a problem with the steering. That mechanic even did some research and suggested we take it to the dealership because there could have been a recall on it. We took the car to the dealership and the recall, paired with the extended warranty we had bought with the car, everything was fixed for ZERO out of pocket cost. I would have been furious had I paid for new brakes and rotors to not have the problem fixed. read more

Can not say enough nice things about this location and the customer service we received. We walked in on Friday evening at about 5:45 and as were explaining out problem, we found out they were closing an hour early due to an all store meeting. We had come in not knowing what was going on with the car but had heard something like metal on metal and since we had been traveling on the highway all day and would be back on the highway all day the next we were told but would be able to get to our car first thing in the morning for a free brake inspection. Scott Baker heard our story and the gentleman working at the desk saying that he they were closing early and quickly jumped in to offer his assistance. He asked for the keys and said he wanted to check out the car for us to make sure it was safe for us to drive. It was determined (and shown to us) that two of the brake pads and rotars needed to be replaced. He said they could get this done for us in 15 minutes and we would be back on our way. He truly went above and beyond anything we would have expected! read more

tl;dr great customer service, but the mechanic took his time and was desperate to create unnecessary work. Price estimates were ridiculously high. Will not return. I arrived at Firestone at 0815 per my appointment for issues with the coolant system. The customer service rep called me over to discuss the issues at about 0910. We walked up to the vehicle and turned out that the mechanic went on break. We waited for about 5-10 minutes and then I was sent back to the waiting area. The mechanic actually did not start working on the vehicle till 0945. I was called back for the second time, and the mechanic conveniently pointed at coolant caked on radiator in plain sight and told me that's where the leak was. I reminded them that I came there for a pressure test of the coolant system. Afterwards I was told that it was a "real bad leak" at that very spot and the vehicle needed a new radiator immediately. The estimate was over $650. I declined the services and filled up my coolant tank myself. It turned out that the radiator never had a leak, but was simply dried up. Adding enough coolant did the job. Now the coolant tank is still full after two weeks of driving around. The mechanic never conducted a pressure test despite our conversation. The mechanic also recommended services for some non-apparent issues with vehicle suspension, but the customer service rep was not convinced with the mechanic and did not recommend "fixing what wasn't broken". The service rep was quite professional, but the mechanic clearly wasn't. Will never return. read more

Generally - when visiting any mechanics at a shop - you experience a bit of skepticism that you're not being taken care of and you just know that as soon as you're about to leave the shop..... that damn mechanic is walking towards you to tell you that you need 1500$ in repairs on your new off the lot vehicle. At this shop, I've had good experiences. Jeff is great for advising, in fact, so helpful that he came outside and checked my tires and told me I didn't need to replace them yet. Honesty is the best policy. So I left and saved up some money and since he was an honest guy, I decided to have my tires replaced at this shop. Jeff was there and made sure to take care of me - and Tyrone was the mechanic who replaced my tires. Tyrone did an excellent job because I wanted to know the process of some of the mechanical details of the vehicle and he would guide me through each step of the process and when I should replace something, etc. Just purely excellent customer service and a clear example of going the extra mile. The guys at Firestone were extremely helpful while working on my car. I have been having problems with a vibration going on in my car, and I've been to multiple other places that have worked on my car, not fixing the problem, and charged me, so I came to them to see if they could help me fix it. They replaced my wheel bearing and axel because it sounded like it needed to be replaced, it didn't fix the problem, and what they think the problem is they don't work on at their shop, so they didnt charge me at all for the work done and only charged for a tire rotation. This process has been an absolute nightmare but these guys were extremely helpful and were very patient with the process and recommended a great place to go get my car looked at. Scott and Korderro are great people at firestone and will help anyone with their car needs. I recommend this place to everyone. read more

Bad, unfriendly, didn't explain any add'l charges (i.e. The $26.64 for the "Road Hazard Protection") I know there are the fees for tire disposal, labor, taxes, and such but to have extras added on without an explanation??? I was there with too many questions and not enough answers untill the tires had already been replaced and that point...it's a little too late to do anything about it. I asked but was never given an explanation or a direct answer. The lady at the counter never smiled, and was rude and abrupt and seemed annoyed when I asked her if they were a wireless hotspot... Which they are not! I was watching through the window as they serviced my car and was shocked and amazed as the service tech slammed my car door into the lift... I've taken my car to a handful of repair shops in the area, and this is the only one that has been pretty a-ok. I never enjoy leaving my car for hours at a time and wandering aimlessly around Governors Square, but what can you do? Appointments are nice idea, but you still have to wait around for what seems like ages. Anyway. My most recent experience began with walking in and asking what the wait time was. With so many cars ahead of me, I made an appointment for a few days later, and the nice guy at the counter told me I could also print out a coupon on their website. Score. On the day of my appointment it was snowing and my tires are kind of sketchy, so I called to reschedule. The lady I spoke to was nice and polite and set me up for another day. When I finally rolled in, I didn't have to wait in line and they gave me a totally reasonable pick up time. This is a first, given that every other time I would be waiting for-evvvver at Starbucks while my car sat unmoved in the parking lot until I called to tell 'em to hurry it up! (sort of, but nicer). So. About 15 minutes before pick up time, I walked to the shop and my paper work was already done. They went through all the recommendations and gave me due warnings when I only took 'em up on the cheapest one. Overall, the clerks are nice and helpful, I never feel like anyone is trying to rip me off, but I wish it was a speedier service. EDIT: Also, please stop changing my radio settings. Kthnx. read more

I've used this location twice for tires and ball bearings. My first visit was for four new tires and about some weird squeaking by which I thought was from bad shocks. They said they would "shake the front end" to see what they could find. They called me at work to let me know it was a bad ball bearing. Thank goodness! I felt like I was driving a new vehicle when I left! Along with my tires I also purchased the lifetime front end alignment which I highly recommend! After a couple of alignments it pays for itself. My second visit I got tires and a front end alignment with equally great service. One thing I really appreciate is that they don't try to sell you any add-ons you don't need. A great thing about this location is they are in walking distance of the mall and a couple of restaurants of you don't want to sit around in their waiting area. I've gone to Steak N Shake, hopped on the wifi and got some work done. Just call for a quote on tires since I can say you won't be disappointed with the service. read more

My advice is, if you can go somewhere else do so. I went to Firestone for the first time last week, and though the employees were nice enough, my issue is with the service. I went in to purchase new tires; the employee who greeted me was polite and it was cool that the place offered free Wi-Fi. However, my problem is with what happened once I had the tires. When I got my car back, I noticed that the tire pressure low display was on, so I went back into the store to tell them so. The guy at the front, whom I assume was the manager, told me that it was "normal" I just needed to drive my car for a bit so it can "reset." He said, "if it had not reset by the next day to return and they would fix it." That sounded feasible since it was close to their closing time. When I arrived at my house, I decided to check my old tires, the ones they rotated to the back of the car, and when I opened my trunk I noticed they had not bothered to put my jack back in properly, it looked like they had just thrown it back in. Nor had they placed the spare back in correctly. The reason I noticed this, was because the cover that lays on top of it all was not flat like it usually is. The misplaced objects kept it partially elevated. In addition, the first aid kit I had in the side compartment was for some reason thrown on top of it. I did not think much of it, besides the fact that they were rude not to place everything back they way they had found it. I have a portable air device for the tires, so I filled the back two (my older tires) up. Both were below 35, one was 32 and the other was 30. I thought to myself that it would have been nice when they rotated the tires to check ALL the tires, but evidently, they had not. Believing that this had been the cause of the low tire display, I felt better. I work in Nashville, and did not want to drive with tires that were low. The next morning (now that there is actually light outside) I noticed that my front bumper was hanging off. Now, I had an accident about a year ago so that front side of the car had a dent, but other than that it had been fine, but now after taking it to Firestone, it was hanging off. Not good. I don't know if they hit something accidentally when they were removing the old tires and putting on the new ones, but I do know it was not like that when I went it. Also, the low tire alert was still on. I didn't have time to go over to the store just yet because 1) they were closed and 2) I had to go to work. However, immediately after work, I went over to Firestone and there was a different person on shift. I told him about the tire display and he told me that I should just need to fill my tires. I repeated what the other gentleman had said, and also that I had put air into my original tires but not the new ones because I figured since they were "new" they should have been good to go. He came out with me and checked them and said that the front two needed to be filled, I told him how I though that was odd since I had just purchased them. This gives me serious doubts about the authenticity of my "new" tires. Isn't that part of their inspection? Should they not have taken care of all of that before letting the customer drive off? If they were new tires, why wasn't that all looked at before returning my vehicle to me? He filled the "new" tires up for me, something that should have been done the previous night. I also asked him if he could try to pop my fender back in place because it wasn't like that before I got my tires put on. He tried and then suggested several body shops I could go to... that's absurd since my bumper was fine prior to my visit to their store, now its hanging half off -.-. Aside from all of that, I had not received my invoice the one I had asked to have emailed to me. It seems the guy from the previous night had entered my email address wrong.... Overall, I seriously doubt I would go back to that establishment again. Supposedly, since I purchased "new" tires there I get free tire rotations... I rather go elsewhere and pay. Especially if it means that my vehicle will be treated better and not the way it was treated by the brutes at Firestone. Today, I struggled to get the jack back into its place beside the spare and then had to battle with the spare to put it properly back in as well, something that they should have done once they finished using everything. As far as first impressions go, I am severely disappointed. read more

I was traveling to Chicago with two dogs (forgotten leashes... I know I'm the worst) got a nail in my tire. I was so panicked because it was hotter than hell and I had the dogs and I was traveling. When I came in I told the very helpful man at the counter my situation. He figured it out told me to pull around they did a simple car jack. My dogs and I stayed cool in my car and my tire was taken off and a new on put on. The service was THE BEST!!! I was in and out in 25 mins. That is insanely good! Very impressed with this Firestone. We are from out of town and just as we got to Clarksville, our brake pedal went to the floor in our 2003 Escalade EXT truck. Thanks to Cadillac we had just enough reserve brake pressure to limp to this firestone without being towed. Unfortunately we ended up having to transfer our vehicle the following day to the closest GM dealer because of the complexity of the repair. Scott and his crew went out of their way to help us contact a rental car company, secure lodging, and contacted Wyatt Johnson GM to arrange the repairs. Just can't thank them enough. read more

Wow I literally made an account to just write a review. My car's headlight bulb was out and I took my car there to get it replaced. One of the salesmen told me that there was something wrong with the wiring in the headlight and my battery is almost dead because my car locked up when the mechanic tried starting it. Well the day before, I had my oil change at a different location and they told me my battery was well off. So I left upset, I went to autozone and got the bulb for my car; I did it myself. I had no problems with changing it myself, other than the fuse needed to be put back in place and that's the reason why my car locked up at Firestone. I DO NOT reccommend coming here, they clearly are not that knowledgeable of how some cars work, and they have no problem trying to get you to pay a lot of money. read more

Terrible service. Your life might be at risk here! I went up there a few months ago(7-18) to get new tires put on. My husband was driving the car this week (10-22) on his way home from work and the back tire flew off on 41A! The tire went across 6 lanes of traffic! Thank goodness the car and tire didn't hit anyone. My husband got the car towed to a mechanic and the first thing the mechanic asked was is anyone trying to kill you? NONE of the lugs on ANY of the tires were tightened all the way! They were all loose! You can pull them off by hand. You can bet we're pissed off right now. Oh, and when I took it up there for my tires to get put on they gave me a bs list saying all this stuff needed to be fixed. like a battery corrosion pack$13.00, belts$109, ignition $222, fuel system cleaning, $89.00, Saying I need new tie rods $375 etc... It all totaled to about $915.0. Hubs showed it to his friend who is mechanically inclined and it was all fine! If you're a female or not mechanically inclined they will try and screw you.We are going there today and talking to the district manager to get this resolved. But be warned everyone. read more

I come to this location only because it's the most convenient and it's the best one in this location. I set an appointment for a tire rotation, balance and alignment for 1100 on a Friday. I arrived at 1050 and ask about how long it should be until its complete and I'm told about 1 to 1.5 hrs, so I go to the restaurant next door. I come back at 1220 and ask for the status of my truck. I'm informed that it's next in line to be brought in the shop... an hour and a half after I dropped it off for a scheduled appointment my truck is still sitting in the parking lot, absolutely unacceptable. So i ask the manager what is the point of setting an appointment if their not going to abide by their schedule? He states its not a guaranteed time it just guarantees your spot in line. How is that the case when there are several walk-ins with their vehicles in the shop?! This isn't the first time this has happened, the last 3 times I've brought my truck in almost the exact same thing has happened. On top of that the last 2 times the steering wheel was off center after the alignment and I made it known but I wasn't going to sit around to wait for them to fix it. Makes me wonder how competent the technicians are working on my vehicle but I've already spent almost $1500 on tires and lifetime alignment with Firestone so I expect to get proper service as should everyone else. read more
