I love their "tire air lane" where you just pull up and there's a tire technician who will check the air in all 4 tires or 1 tire whatever is needed and will on the spot add air. I went in because my tire pressure light was on. The technician found my problem pretty quick, a headless screw had penetrated my tire so it had a slow leak. I dropped off my car the next morning and they fixed the flat for free. No hassles just excellent customer service. They also checked the tread on all 4 of my tires. Tires don't seem to last as long as they used to or maybe since I'm older I'm just paying more attention. I'll be needing new tires soon and will give Discount Tire another chance to earn my business on a new set of Michelin or Hankook tires. She said make sure you come around to the back because there are two tire shops. When I pulled up lo and behold there is affordable new and used tires which takes up 80% of the building. Being a woman it's always a toss up bringing my car in to a mechanic and bracing to be "talked down too" about what needs to be done. But not here! A&R respected me, understood that I already knew what I needed done and never tried to upsell me in anything. Their diagnostic check comes with photos showing you exactly what they find and they were so friendly going over everything with me on the phone and discussing what I should do in the future for tune ups without trying to push me into anything today. My battery terminals were replaced and my car was seen and repaired in about a 3 hour turn around! Pricing seems fair, repairs are never cheap and diagnostic prices are on par with dealerships. They were to include a pair of wiper blades with the 30,000 mile service but they did not give me those. The service writer conveniently forgot. Having acquired the vehicle less than six months ago I did not know what condition the brakes were in aside from the fact that the braking power wasn't very good followed by these other indicators. I took the truck to Budget Brakes in Clarksville, and within the hour I received a call back that they found the leaks and could have it repaired by the end of the day. They had to run new brake lines as the old ones from '93 had rusted onto the old leaky drum brakes. The price was in the realm of what I'd expected and was pleased to have the truck back the same day. Lord knows that was a good amount of work. Driving the truck home was like night and day, the difference in braking power from the repair they made. I have been driving on the new brakes and lines for about two weeks now with no leaks, no warning lights, and excellent braking. They also let me know the front rotors were bad, but I opted to fix those myself. Once I took them off I could see they truly were deeply grooved on the back sides and a little warped. All in all I feel that Budget Brakes is a company I can trust to be honest with me about the condition of my brakes, give me the service I need, and do a professional and quality job to have the car ready ASAP.
