My wife took her Volvo XC60 for an oil change. Synthetic oil change but came out to be $177 for an oil change. The service people took advantage of her and did not explain anything to her. Just because she a lady and can make anything up to make it seem right but it's not right. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They did nothing to refund or apologize for the mistake. Bad people working at this location. The Firestone back home at Tennessee oils change is $120-130 for a fully synthetic oil change for this care. I have the receipt of it for proof to Firestone Corporate office. And they did nothing. I have been going to Firestone for all my vehicles and this happens. Other Firestone doesn't charge this amount and will work with you on the price and offer discount and speak to you prior to doing the repairs. The manager Justin is someone who should not be managing with that attitude he carries. To start he told us we needed 24 lug nuts and that he could order them, but they come in packs of 21 so he would have to order 2 packs, each were $70 so he wanted us to spend $140. We decided to go to auto zone to purchase them because they had said we could buy our own ones and we called him twice asking him the size they needed and both times he would just say "well I was gonna order you the right size" instead of just telling us the size for us to purchase. We ended coming back and the mechanic Jose was an amazing help would helped us get it all sorted out ! If it wasn't for Jose we would've just gotten our shit and left so thank you Jose! read more

This Firestone has a very rude manager by the name of Justin! I had an appointment and this has happened twice so I am done. They don't go by appointments they go by people that drive up first.. I had a 10 o'clock appointment in the morning. Justin told me it wouldn't take longer than an hour. It's just a tire.. two hours later I called because I have not heard they haven't even pulled it in the garage yet. Then the manager, of course, tells me I can't help by what they pull in. I said you're the manager you should not have told me that because my daughter had to leave work to take me back over here to pick up my car. Three hours later it's finally done just to put some air in the tire and check to see if it was leaking. I understand once in a while things happen but twice when you have an appointment. I get hung up by Justin because he doesn't want to hear what I have to say. Very unprofessional now I see why there's several bad reviews. I will go to a place that's more professional that takes appointments first. read more

Do not go here. They did transmission work for me and failed to reassemble the transmission completely. I drove it for a short time before bringing it back to them. They tightened up some things just so it would stop banging around every time I put it in gear only for the clutch to be out of adjustment. Putting the car in 1st gear results in a grinding gear noise and physical resistance every time. Then I ended up dying on the road, sure they did yet another corner-cutting job on my car so I had to get towed back to them, and they said my car needed a new battery. So I got a new battery. Today the battery that is less than a year old turns out to have been bad. I'm never going back. They do not do the job they agree to do, will not fix your car if you bring it back to them, and apparently use bad parts on top of that. This is what happened to me, anyway. I've complained to their own corporate customer service about them twice. Nothing comes of it. Update: The regional manager for the store returned a call regarding my complaint and listened to my story. He said he would look into the quality issues there. He began to offer to fix it, but the fact is I don't trust any shop that messes up the job three times in a row. At least their overall management seems interested in the problem. read more

I set up an appointment online where I picked out which tires I wanted and selected to also get an alignment. That made it so easy once I got to the store at my selected appointment time. As a woman I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of because I had done my homework and they didn't try to push anything else on me. With each step of the process the store manager kept me up to date on where my car was and how much longer I should expect. The waiting area was nice and cool compared to being outside! It was quiet enough that I was able to study while there. I heard a few sexist comments from the mechanics that popped in to see the announcement of the Royal baby's sex. I was a little offended by this but not enough to say anything. After all I was there for tires not to debate what is and isn't politically correct. read more

Avoid this place at all cost, I brought my truck there to get a front wheel stud replaced that broke off and to get the truck inspected. It took 3 different weekend trips for them to finally fix it and when I went to pick it up it was 1,070 dollars. I started off by telling them I needed it done by Monday to drive my truck to work. I dropped it off on a Friday and didn't hear anything back so called on Sunday and they said the wheel hub would have to be replaced because they couldn't get it off in order to change the wheel stud without messing it up because it was stuck, they still had to order the part and didn't do anything to it by Sunday so I told them to put it back together and give it back to me because I needed it for work. I dropped it back off the next week on Saturday to have it finished but the part didn't come in until Sunday and they weren't able to finish again, so they put it back together and gave it back. The third weekend I wasn't even going to take it back because of the previous times but they were one of the only places open on Sunday to be able to work on it, so I dropped it off on Friday for the third time and they said it would be done by the end of Sunday for me to pick it up and also said it would be 280 dollars to change out the wheel hub and do the inspection. They called on Saturday and said that the spindle was bent and wouldn't allow the wheel hub to be taken off to replace and that the whole spindle knuckle would need to be changed but that the manager already charged me for the other parts so the manager was going to cover the cost difference of the spindle replacement. I didn't hear anything after that so called back on Sunday and the person on the phone told me they were still waiting for the part to come in and that it would be an additional 700 something dollars for parts and labor. I told them that I was told just a day ago that the additional parts were said to be covered by the manager for selling me the wrong parts and nobody knew what I was talking about. At this point I was irritated and just told them to hurry up and give it back to me. It wasn't done by Sunday like they said it would be so I told them I needed it for work and just put it back together because they were STILL waiting for the spindle knuckle to come in, I could have went to an auto parts store and bought that off of the shelf and it took them 2 and a half days to get it. They informed me that my truck was all taken apart and that I wouldn't have a ride for work but it would be done by Monday, I called from work on Monday and was told they were waiting for the part to come in and it should be ready by the end of the day. I got a ride there after work and it still wasn't ready, long story short they finally finished it on Tuesday and it costed me 1070 dollars, 3 weekends of no vehicle and 2 work days. Its sad how one location can tarnish a whole franchise, just read the reviews of this location for yourself. Firestone is not that bad of a company, I have used multiple locations in the past. But I am so mad and heated about this that I will never use a firestone for business ever again. There is no reason that changing out a spindle knuckle and getting a state inspection should take 3 weekends and 2 of my work days without having a ride when I made sure to tell them each time before I dropped it off if they would have time to fix it because I needed it back for work by Monday and they agreed to it all 3 times. I ended up having to pay the 1,070 to pick my truck up, never will I go back to a firestone again. Save yourself the trouble, time and money and go somewhere else read more

Firestone 1831 Gulf Fwy Dickinson, TX 77539 My wife used them a few years back for some tires (hated by the way, couldn't;t wait to replace) and they recommended a front end alignment. She went ahead and purchased it since it is lifetime warranty. I took in her car this morning to have it checked out. They did the alignment (which is great the vehicle drives better now). However, they do not know how to speak to customers, they called didn't leave a message, they did email with the service order but no real explanation. I returned the phone call and I the person I spoke to (Clay) explain to me that the person who handled the check in was in the restroom and he would call me back. I gave him a different number since the number on file was my wife's. He clearly repeated back the wrong number then I corrected him and he said he would call back. 30 minutes later, no call to either number. So, I call back speak to the same person and tells me that I can pick up the car, and they recommended a filter change also. I said no thanks. I then go to pick up the car, and ask what was done to the car, and he rudely responds that it was in the paperwork and they did the alignment. I said okay thanks no one explained this to me when I called. He then said they didn't need to since he was in the paperwork. I guess if I need another alignment I will choose a different Firestone. Appreciate fixing the car, would just like to be spoken to as valuable customer. read more

My issue with this place is twofold: 1) When I brought my car here in July 2013 to get the bearings replaced, I had them do an inspection since it was overdue and they were keeping my car overnight anyway. Well, they charged me for an inspection but neither put a sticker on my car nor bothered to do the inspection. I went 1.5 months before realizing this since I don't drive this particular car very often. Thankfully I did not get a ticket when I did drive it. So VERIFY they do your inspection if you get other work done. 2) EVERY SINGLE TIME they do repairs, they leave my car door filthy as all get out!! Apparently their mothers did not teach them about cleaning up after themselves. Totally frustrating! read more

This place is great. They have been very knowledgeable and friendly. Besides the location of the gas pedal and the brakes, I don't know a thing about automobiles. This being the case, I'm always concerned that I'm going to get ripped off or cheated by someone who knows more than I do and takes advantage of me. I have now done business with Firestone a few times, and I have been impressed each encounter. They are very knowledgeable, and they seem like they are very willing to help and answer questions. The prices are reasonable as far as auto-care is concerned (maintaining/fixing a car will always be expensive unless you have a mechanic in the family) but it doesn't feel like I'm being gouged. Overall, this place is great. Add that to the fact that you can set up an appointment on their website so you don't even have to wait, well this place just fits the bill for all my needs. read more

I am so upset. My boyfriend and I just got a 2004 Toyota Corolla from my sister. The breaks needed to be fixed so we took it here to see what the price would be and first of all, they wanted to charge me WAY too much for this break job. Front breaks and rotors for $440. I was able to buy the parts much cheaper at Autozone. When we came to pick up the car they were about to work on it without our authorization. They got it down and gave it to us running. We went to get gas in it and when we went to turn it on it wouldn't start. We had no issues prior to bringing it in. When we called they said, oh yeah, we looked at the starter and there was an issue with it. They did not tell us it wouldn't start when we left and did not mention there were any issues with it. This being said they had to have checked the starter in 15 minutes, maybe less, while we were there. When we came in this morning to ask BRAD what we could do to fix this, he basically said, well sucks to be you, it's happens. We can give you a 10% discount but other than that we can contact the claims department. I have heard a couple other bad reviews but I wanted to give them a chance and man, did they blow it! Unless you want more issues with your vehicle, don't bring it here. read more

I have nothing negative to say about the level of service I received at this Firestone. The attendant that greeted me, was polite, thorough, and had good follow up. It took a few hours to complete the work, but it was very busy. I wish this location had a better waiting area with vending machines and drinks. Many people were waiting for their repairs/service and there was not enough places to sit, or anything to drink or snack on. I thought it was interesting that all the women customers were standing outside, while the men sat in the chairs. Really guys? This, of course was not Firestones fault. The prices were reasonable, and they did not come back with a laundry list of additional repairs. I would take my car here again, but would drop my car and leave next time. read more

I had to have a tire rotation and oil change done and called to make and appointment. They were able to get me in at a time that best fit me. Although I was late getting to my appointment they were very understanding that life happens and was still able to squeeze me in and get the job done in a timely manner. read more
