I arrived at this Firestone location at 7:30 AM for a simple oil change. It's now two hours later and I'm still here. For most of that time, the employees didn't seem to be doing much of anything -- no urgency, no productivity, just standing around. Went in for a diagnostic and repair. Repairs were made but I was still having trouble. Returned and left my vehicle for a long weekend while I was traveling. I had to reach out to get any sort of update because they didn't. Communication was through text and wasn't very good. Texts read like they were from a child. Didn't receive a text response to my last text and was told he didn't get it (how convenient!). They never would admit that they couldn't find the problem and never did tell me to come get my car, I asked 3 separate times. Called the Firestone Corporate Customer Service toll free number and was told that an area manager would reach out to me within 2 days. It's been 4 days and still no call. Store manager was argumentative and unprofessional to say the least when I did pick up my car. Several times he acted like we were a bother and laughed about us waiting for the area manager to call us (I guess he knew that wouldn't happen). I requested copies of the diagnostic reports and he didn't have them ready when I arrived. He just argued about what they did to try and figure out what was wrong with my car. I went in for an oil change on my car. They tell me oil pan is leaking (something I already knew about and is a very minimal leak) and I tell them I'll do that job next time. About a week later, I notice on my driveway (i park on the same spot always) that it's leaking oil, something which it never did before. I come to find out that they didn't properly tighten up the oil filter. $140 paid for an oil change (which is an insane price) for them not to tighten the oil filter!!!? Are you serious!? Brought my car 2019 dodge Charger in three times for the same thing... wish I hadn't paid my card off. now they say take it to the dealer... this was a total waste of time and destroyed my confidence in their ability to do a simple car repair of an oil pump... nothing but excuses and then shrug their shoulders because they don't have a clue. Took my car in for a leak on my A/C system, I was told the Ac compressor was weak and there was a leak on one of the A/c lines. they recommended replacing my entire A/c system. WHAT ? $2700. I'm a mechanic by trade, I didn't have the A/c machine to run the diagnostics and spot the leak. Fun fact, the A/c compressor clutch will not kick on if it's undercharged/ no Freon In the system. This was simply a tactic to upsell me to maximize profit. I asked to speak to the mechanic so we could verify the hose that was leaking. I was told he left for the day. I opened my hood when I got home and spotted no dye "they use this to find leaks before they charge the system" I found yellow residue where they connected to my high side / low side. I feel this company is committing fraud and I will continue to share my experience any and everywhere. their comments about the repair when I said they were upselling me and ripping people off was "this isn't a mom and pop shop". No, you're worse. Zero care for the customer. I Had asked the service writer where they get their parts, she had said depends, autozone..... I laughed. They had actually doubled autozones costs. I asked them how it's logical to replace my entire Ac system when there is only a leak on a hose.... their response... it needed done. I was unable to get them to verify their troubleshooting to justify the repairs. They give Mechanics a bad reputation. Bye Bye Firestone... Had a nail right in the middle of my tire and was losing some air. Took it in to Firestone and was told first it could not be repaired because it was by the sidewall. After I pointed out where it was, they said they would repair.Later that day they called me back and said the tire was 5 years old and it is "company policy" to not repair it even though it had good tread and was in good condition. Don't buy tires from them if you are a low mileage driver, they will only try to sell you new tires rather than repair !!! I was a LONG TIME customer. I don't know who the girl was that presented me my repair options, but she was very brash and obviously annoyed and rude when I questioned what she was presenting. Get this - the dealership was way cheaper on parts and labor, AND they were friendly, accommodating and happy to have our business. If I could give this place negative stars I absolutely would. Sadly I had just moved from another state and didn't search reviews. This place is horrible! I initially took my Jeep in for a leak, $4000 I got my Jeep back. One week later (if that) I had lights pop on. I called and told it was covered under the warranty from the other work but guess what it was not. Apparently my rear differential was cracked which is strange because they did rear diff work a week prior....I wish this is where it ended, but no. I get a call Omar that my Jeep will be ready the next day. Another call from Omar, now the shop is shutting down for 5 days due to covid. I tell them that's fine I will have it towed somewhere else "oh no you can't do that, we can't allow you to tow it", I call mineke who said that bs and even told that to the employee at Firestone. I am told it's fine we will provide you a rental car...FANTASTIC right....Ofcorse not. I am sent to the Firestone in Crowley and told he will have the rental car delivered there. I get to the Crowley Firestone and met by a horrible employee Jamie or Jimmy (not sure which), who continuously told me "I don't know why you're here, it's not my problem but I guess I'll call" after making me sit for 30 minutes he finally picks up a phone to make the damn call. Tells me I have to drive to enterprise and get there before they close (5minutes from now) so off I race to enterprise. I get there and as soon as I get in the door "I'm sorry ma'am I told him I had no cars and not to send you here". So back to Firestone I go, again I'm met by this horrible waste of space. "I don't know why you're back I told you it's not my problem". I tell him multiple times I need the supervisor or manager, he writes a name and number on a card and throws it at me (Ofcorse nobody answers or returns calls from this number). It's now two days later, we are called and told the shop opened the day after they shut down but now my part is delayed two days. Two days later I call and guess what my part is now delayed 4 more days, four days later we call again, parts in we should have it today....nope! Here we are 9 days later and we finally got it back. No rental car ever provided. I cannot stress enough DO NOT GO HERE!!!! BEWARE !!!! I started having car trouble. My car warranty has a list of repair shops so I picked a Mobil Technician to come out. He said my Head Gasket was blown and they don't do that repair. So I Took to next repair shop on the list. Firestone on Debbie Ln and 287 in Mansfield. Well they said it was a hose by radiator and charged me 500. Got car back and it was still doing the Exact same thing. We took it back 4 times. They said they couldn't figure it out but that it's safe to drive. Well nope Car Breaks down had it towed to Firestone in Grand Prairie on I-20 and they said oh your head Gasket is blown. Well Duh! They said ok we will get some prices together and get with your warranty. 4 days later I call again and the guy says oh I don't think we do that kind of repairs. WTF for 3 days I was told your looking for a motor now telling me I need to take it somewhere else. i did a complaint on Firestone. But FIRESTONE is who you make Complaints to. I went to the Crowley Firestone for checkup on my GMC, and was told that my oil gasket had a slow leak. I was asked if my spouse was around- ?? Why would that matter.. Then I was told that I would be charged $1,700 (manual labor, time, and replacement parts) to fix it. I thought this price too high and price shopped locally. I replaced the temp control actuator on my car a year ago. The air had stopped blowing but the BLOWER MOTOR was still good (I tested it personally as well as the relays and fuses.) I took it in to them to see if the cabin filter was missing or if there was a clog perhaps from the blower motor to the vents. These jokers said that the motor was bad (it isn't), the actuator had been tampered with (it had not I replaced it personally), and that there was a bent rod that needed to be replaced. When I had initially thought I might need a new motor I priced it online. 48 dollars and they wanted 126 for the same part. They wanted 238 for the actuator (which costs 110 dollars) and 164 for the rod assembly (yes a rod.) I understand that people need to make a profit because I teach economics for a living, but to gouge a customer because you think they are stupid about mechanical work is flat out fraud. The total they wanted to fix all of these "broken parts" was 1504 dollars. I paid 2250 for the car with taxes. CROOKED. read more

They were horrible! I went to get an alignment and an inspection and they told me my tires were getting worn and needed to be replaced. I knew this and had already quoted discount tire for $600. They quoted me $1,100 so I told them to leave them on. I go back at 6pm to pick up my car and they went to charge me $1,300. They had gone ahead and changed my tires even though I specifically told them I didn't want it. They made a big deal about it acting like it was such an inconvenience for them to have to change it back. When they did they put the most worn part on the outside. It took them a whole day. I got a bad vibe the second I walked in and they asked me why I use discount tire and not them and how much better they are. Then proceeds to tell me he can't fix my tire and how bad the rest of my tires are and that I wouldn't even pass inspection with them. I had my inspection done in April and they passed and he blamed that on the place I went as well. I am in sales and even if they were correct that was not a way to get a sale! I purchased a part for $150, they claimed my part would come in at noon on Monday, I walked in there at 2 that Monday, and they informed me that they did not order my part! So many times we complain. So in all fairness a compliment is well warranted today. Firestone located in Crowley, Texas. I went to Firestone this morning and was assisted upon arrival by "Gary". Having gone to Firestone a few times before my last visit was NOT pleasant. I informed Gary of this and proceeded to list the various items that I wanted. Gary was gracious and listened. He found me a great deal on 4 tires. I wanted and received those as well as an oil change, a/c check up, state inspection, new wipers and a license plate bulb. My vehicle was ready when promised. When I went to pick it up I also got an additional oil change for a different vehicle I have. Rachel and Darrell assisted me on that transaction. All employees encountered today were real pros. As a woman I felt respected and not undermined as in my previous visits. So I do thank them for that. It's nice to get away from the "Good Ole Boy" mentality especially since we are all now living in 2016. read more

I went in recently and was told that it would take a maximum of 45 minutes to get it all done. Why did it end up taking over 2 HOURS?! Mind you, I was only going in for a regular checkup on my vehicle. My cell phone was on 7% and about to die so the first thing I asked the girl is if she thought it would take longer than the 45 mins. She said no to not worry about it. I just wanted to make sure because if it was to take longer then I would have asked someone to pick me up while I waited, since I live about 3 miles away. I sat there and waited, and waited, and waited. Soon after, my phone did end up dying. I had no way to contact anyone to pick me up, and even if I did I wasn't being updated on the progress of my car. I sat there for at least 2 hours without anyone updating me! That is honestly ridiculous. There were plenty of people who came in after me that left before I did! I don't know about anyone else but my time is very precious, especially after working a full day. -Negative 5 stars- If you want to be argued with and treated like scum by an associate named Angel go there. Otherwise please take your business elsewhere. I waited about an hour for a State inspection. The salesperson asked for my insurance after he had taken the car back and I had no key. I explained that it was in the glove compartment and he said okay and never returned. When we check out he says my car didn't pass due to the window tint. I had a work vehicle that was exempt from the window tint and it would have been stated on the insurance card. When I ask about the insurance card he says they never had which means you lied on the inspection report because if they had it, it would have ruled out the tint issue. I also pointed out that if he still needed the card I could have it faxed which I did, I was not made aware that it wasn't found or missing. Much to my shock and amazement the employee Angel had the audacity to argue with me in front of customers and employees who obviously felt uncomfortable after he was caught. He argued about the tint issue like I didn't know what I was talking about or me nor my hundreds of coworkers hadn't done this thousands of times. I called my administrator who had never heard of a car failing the inspection over that. He even asked me why I would discuss paperwork i.e. not having insurance docs when I didn't bring paperwork. He even went as far as to say it was my fault for coming in without providing paperwork. When I asked to talk to another associate he told me he was the only one I could talk to. If that's the case you guys have some serious business issues. I showed him additional paperwork and other work items to help prove my point. But he continued five minutes of constant arguing and berating with a customer who waited for an hour over a fixable issue. Then when I asked him if I would be charged he told me yes. Due to our billing system I told him I would not be able to leave with an unnecessary fail. He finally said I was frustrating him and he just wouldn't charge me and "I should just go" and attempted to dismiss me. He never attempted to resolve the issue, and never listened to me to bring a resolution. Luckily another associate intervened and re ran the inspection to provide me with the pass paperwork that was due. The employee overheard and realized Angel didn't know what he was talking about. Not to mention the fact that part of the reason I went there was to bring my paperwork from the dealership stating they failed to tighten the oil cap after my last oil inspection resulted in oil in my brand new driveway. I actually considered not bringing it up until I went through all of the trouble. My father was appalled after I told him and contacted the manager who asked if Angel knew my car was exempt and the answer is YES YES YES, he just didn't know how to listen. This is why I pay more to take my personal vehicle to the dealership. This NEVER would have happened and the rare times I've had issues we had an adult conversation and they worked hard to fix it; never an argument you know why? Because they actually want my business. This store will not be getting anymore of it and my coworkers have already marked it off of their lists. read more

It's been a while since I had my truck serviced, but I feel like I need to let other know about my experience here. I came in and told the employees that there was an issue with truck. It pulled to one side and there was a metal/friction problem unless I turned the wheel while driving. The truck made a loud noise and wasn't smooth unless it was turning. I told them that at times it would take over the cabin and it was becoming worse. I watched as a tech sat in my truck and used my charger to charge up his phone. After a while he finally drove off and returned a short time later, to go back and sit in my truck to charge his phone. After about an hour, they gave me a paper that said I altered the ride height and the truck has off road tires and that it road walks because of these alterations and there was nothing wrong with the truck. Pretty much calling me a liar. I bought the truck brand new with it lifted and with the same tires and I explained this to them. The checkout guy talked with the tech again, they stuck with the same reasoning. I went some where else later that day and within 5 minutes of being there they found the problem. They lifted the front end up and spun the front left tire and left me hear it. They said the wheel bearing had went bad and needed replacing. They replaced and surprise the problem was gone. The truck was back to normal. May if the tech from firestone had spent more time looking into the issue instead of sitting in my truck or seeing that it was lifted and already wanting to use that as a reason instead of listening to the customer then I would have to be writing this review. read more

BEWARE....... my complaint is not with the mechanics that worked on my car but with the service advisors and manager. I had some work done a few days ago, about $2000 worth. Struts shocks tires and alignment. When the service advisor wrote the work order I specifically specified that there was NO mix and match of parts (brands). When I picked up the car I find out that there were two different brands on the car. One of the was a cheap Chinese brand. Naturally I was upset about this and they agreed to replace them with the same brand that was placed in the rear of the vehicle. Great they are trying to resolve the issue. I went ahead and took the car to bring it back on Wednesday to have the struts replaced on the front. When I got home I had to put my grandsons car seat in the car and noticed the the seat belt buckles were stuffed under the seat cushion bottom. So I lifted the seat bottom cushion to find that somebody had spilled their drink and never cleaned it up. Still pooled up on the passenger side my hand was coated with a sweet sticky liquid substance that I can only assume was some type of soda. I was more upset at this point. I cleaned up the mess and was going to bring it to their attention when I dropped off the vehicle for the repairs. Today, Wednesday morning, I was dropping off the vehicle and mentioned the seat belt buckles were under the seat cushion when I picked it up and that somebody had spilled soda under the cushion. The manager got very defensive at that time. To the point were I felt that he wanted to fight. It's not that the mechanic are bad, in fact, I think that they do good work. It's management and the advisors that need to listen to their customer and work on their customer service skills. Professionalism is key in a business like this. If they could iron out this major failure then the place would be a great place to take your vehicle for repairs. read more
