I was charged $50 for this "diagnosis," yet no explanation was provided regarding the actual cause of the issue. The four‑page report I received appeared to be a generic printout with a few numbers changed, offering no meaningful insight into the problem. Despite the lack of a real diagnostic, I was quoted almost $700 for an AC recharge. I later had the same service completed at another shop for $300, which makes your estimate seem extremely inflated. Overall, I feel I paid for no real value: no clear diagnosis, no explanation, and an unreasonable repair quote. I am requesting clarification on what exactly I was charged for and why no proper diagnostic information was provided. Additionally, while I was speaking with one of your employees to explain my concerns, another worker interrupted me abruptly and unprofessionally, even though I was not speaking to him or asking him anything. Thank you Firestone for fixing my tire so quickly! I was able to get a same day appointment. The guys who work at Firestone have such great customer service and despite how stressful of a situation having a demolished tire may be, they made me feel comfortable and made the experience a good one. They serviced my vehicle right away and also let me know my battery may need to be replaced down the line. I'll be back but hopefully not soon. I called to talk to Dan from your Citrus Heights store to let him know that my 2010 Toyota Corolla has died. Notes on a receipt said my battery was good. I had taken my car in several times because the gauge kept running high. I had a new thermostat put in and that still did not solve the problem since August which was doing damage to my engine. I had an engine alignment. Cylinders misfirining and needed head gasket. I called Dan to let him know about my car and I wanted my car repaired and his response "You have work done, you will pay for it". Firestone Manager, Dan, Assistant Manager, Maya, and all the Firestone Mechanics have consistently kept my Toyota 4-Runner in excellent, mechanical condition. Backstory: How and WHY did I appoint and trust Firestone maintaining my Toyota 4-Runner's mechanical performance? Welp~as unbelievable as my backstory prose proclaims: I was working for the TV Show, "MONK" which for this particular, production's filming episode, we were filming at the Firestone Family's wine estate. I hung out with the Firestone Family for a couple of days while filming. The Firestone Family informed me they SOLD Firestone; however, the Family was very kind and gave me several Firestone Auto Maintenance Discounts, since I informed them my new 4-Runner needs an updated, maintenance upkeep. Happily and pleased, the Family instructed me which Firestone will honor the discounts they gave me, i.e., Encino Firestone., since I lived near Bel Air/ Brentwood. I love firestone! I've visited multiple locations over the years and while I'm not the most knowledgable about cars I've always experienced friendly service that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and left with a working vehicle. What more could I want;) The service I got at this location was exceptional. I had an issue with my tire pressure light and called and they offered to check it immediately. When I drove it in they charged 40 something for a diagnostic and found out I needed to have one of the sensors in my tires replaced. When I talked to them about replacing my windshield wipers at costco (instead of with them) so it might save me money they offered to show me how to replace them. Finally when my car was done after closing time they stayed open late so I could come pick it up and wouldn't have to wait till the morning. Overall great experience! P.S. I think my favorite firestone is the location on watt though just because they play the TV show friends on the TV in the lobby and its nice to sit and relax if the cars not gonna take to long. They checked my request and confirmed the appointment. But when I arrived, they said that this tire was not available. I came for nothing and wasted my time. you know that stereotype that auto shop employees like to pull a fast one on women and will try to mansplain things, yes Firestone is the prime example of this. I always come in for a routine oil change, and despite the fact that my car has been running fine over the last 10 months they have persistently recommended that I replace my rear brakes for $800. Took my car over to River City Brakes for a second opinion (who are amazing btw) and they said Firestone was trying to pull a fast one on me that my brake pads were thick and just as good as new and that my front rotors were warped. So while Firestone was too busy trying to charge me $800 for something that was perfectly fine you failed to mention that my front rotors needed to be change. Not that it would matter they would probably charge $800 for that too when River City is only $400. maybe if you guys focused more on genuine concerns maybe you would be able secure more business that you wouldnt find it necessary to upcharge for false job. So let me tell yall the amount of misinformation they give you on vehicle inspections baffles me... I went for an oil change and i've been hearing a weird click noise coming from the fl wheel and had them check it out they say i had bad struts and suspension... i go for another oil change and ask them to double check it's my shocks and struts they than tell me i have bad wheel bearings and it's gonna be 1300 to replace, so i do them my self and the click sound still persist i go back than they tell me i have a bad tire mind you i just bought a full set of tires not even a year prior so i get a new tire cuz yk THEY ARE CAR MECHANICS AND ITS STILL CLICKING. c mon now i thought they was THE professional auto mechanics but they can't find out what's wrong rhe wheel housing???? My man Trevor did a fantastic job on the alignment for my supra day before a supra cruise around Napa/lake Berryessa. I gave him a spec sheet recommended by the supra community and he got it as close as I'm he could and even spent extra time removing plates blocking the way to adjust front camber. I should of kept my mouth shut but I made sure the front knew about it so they charged me extra. We brought the car in for diagnostic and an oil change. A big ticket item went out and we agreed to the labor and repairs. Recieved a call earlier than expected that it was completed... however when we picked it up it still wasn't running smooth check lights were still on. Turns out they didn't connect the new part with the system computer and sensors (job was incomplete). They fixed it and we picked it up the next day. Once home we reviewed the multi-point inspection- everything else marked as good. We looked under the hood and coolant was EXTREMELY LOW! Also turned out they put the wrong sticker with wrong mileage checks in the windshield. I will not trust my vehicles to this location again. I went to Firestone on a Sunday because my car had a screw in the tire and they were the only shop open. I came in and was told it was a 2-3 hour wait which was a bummer but get it fixed would be good. The service rep went out and looked at my tire and came back and said it would be $256 to get a new tire due to the location of the screw. I decided to wait and went to a Les Schwab today. They looked at the same tire and same screw and figured out that the screw wasn't penetrating the tire. Cost me nothing. Be careful of Firestone. I believe they are scamming to get the up sell. I am an existing customer at this location and I've got an emergency with a tire. They told me they're "all booked up" and I'd have to come in and sit and wait (I can't "leave it") until they can work me in and it could be "hours". HUGE FAIL and incredibly shortsighted of them to have just closed a second location in CH. Do yourself a favor and give your tire business to a store that 1) doesn't try to be everything to everybody with tire and "full auto service", and 2) can actually help their established customers when they need them most! UPDATE: Happy ending! I managed to drive down the street to America's Tire and all they said to me was, "Yes!", "Yes!", AND "Yes"! They still had me in their system after many years; that was a plus. I purchased my tires at this store have maintenance done there also. When I went there to get a flat fixed on my work truck they said it would be three hrs. I was working and couldn't sit for three hours I asked if I could make a appointment for later that I couldn't take three hours off work. He said he could make a appointment three days later. I said there isn't anything you can do for a loyal customer? His sarcastic reply Was the shop if full of loyal customers . The lobby was empty so I was the only customer with a situation like this. I took my car to this location back in Oct 2021 because I had tire that was low despite me having filled it with air multiple times. They said it was bad tire valve and they replaced it and rotated my tires. I recently had a flat tire in my rear tire and took there. I had warranty with the tires because I purchased them at full price at Firestone. I was well within the warranty limits and they stated my tire had be prorated so I needed to pay an additional $100 for a replacement tire? I needed the car to pick my kids from daycare. I didn't think to argue but this is not okay. I don't understand having a warranty on the tire if I have to pay proration on the tire? I didn't put 50k on the tires. My wife went in today (8/17/21) for a standard oil change and the $10 "checkup" that they offer, totalling to about $50, right? They ended up quoting her $150, with the ambiguous $100 for labor or something they did not clarify. I went back and canceled the job, took the keys and left. I'm not 100% certain what that $100 was for, but I distinctly remember not being charged that when we went here last November for the same thing. You think all cops are bad? Try car repair shops. I came in for a brake fluid flush and tire rotation, and asked for them to reset the service light for the brake fluid service. Got a call saying my rear rotors needed to be resurfaced and front brakes were "beyond repair" and needed to be totally replaced for $800+ , despite having gone to the dealer for an oil change two weeks earlier and having them tell me my brakes were in great condition (and nobody loves selling you unnecessary services like a car dealership). I declined anything having to do with the front and told them to go ahead with resurfacing the rear rotors, and a few minutes later got a call from the service manager saying something was "misinterpreted" and the rear brakes were fine so they were removing the service. When I scanned the info sheet on pickup, there was nothing about the brakes mentioned except they "squeak" - everything else was brake-related was checked off as green/being within specifications, no mention of resurfacing or total replacement being needed. If I hadn't just been to the dealership,I probably would have been scared/pressured into an unnecessary $800-900 service. They also didn't know if my tires had actually been rotated and I had to wait for them to confirm with whoever worked on the vehicle. A few miles down the road my low tire pressure sensor indicated one tire was under inflated. Also...they didn't reset the service light. read more

I called around to get tire quotes on my SUV last minute when I came home to a flat... Firestone was the closest to me and had the best price so I decided to just head their way.. The customer service was fast and friendly, they took my suv immediately and offered a free inspection, they said the wait time was about 1-2 hrs but called in about an hour while I was wrapping up lunch so it all worked out perfectly, I picked up my suv with no issues and a brand new tire! Just a great Firestone location for emergency or routine service. You'll see a Firestone almost everywhere, but they're not all created equally, for sure! We had a bad tire with a slow leak and honestly the rest were kind of on their last leg too, so we took advantage of their sale/rebate and got a new set. The manager, Chris is so enthusiastic and helpful! You can tell he not only knows about his products, he loves what he does. He helped us select the perfect set for our SUV and immediately got to working on them, which was great as we had to drive to the Bay for work that same day. They found a light that needed a bulb and of course the air filter to change-which we had them do along with a full synthetic oil change and an alignment. (We have lifetime alignments, so since we got new skins, we figured to do that and get them off on the right foot. I think that is included with new tires as a norm anyhow) We had our car back in just a couple hours and it rides like new again. We appreciate all the help and service the team at Citrus Heights gave us-THANK YOU ALL! We'll definitely be back! TIPS: * Come early if you don't have an appointment, people show up out of nowhere and the line gets long fast. *If you get a rebate, simply fill in the forms online and your rebate debit card will arrive fast. I arrived at Firestone with a pre- scheduled appt. for a oil change for my vehicle. I drove from Wheatland to use a promotional offer I had received when I opened a Firestone credit Card and received a free oil change. The offer was written down by the mgr at the time Alley. The card simply said Free Oil Change with no limitations on price or oil type. I have brought all my vehicles to Firestone for years and have had oil changes done on same vehicle in the past, long story short my vehicle uses premium gas and synthetic oil (only) based on user manual. Anyways they ended up giving me the cheapest oil available 10w/30 instead of manufacturer recommended synthetic oil. I asked the mgr in charge why they didn't follow directions & check my account for previous oil changes, or even ask me what kind of oil blend or full synthetic? I would have paid difference if needed but my card just said Free Oil change? I've called the store 3 times now and haven't gotten a callback or anything from the general mgr. Extremely dissatisfied and unhappy with this locations customer service and common sense! Although I got what I thought was a great price on 4 new tires, it took them 3.5 (three and a half) hours from the time I gave them my keys until they gave them back. If I have to wait 3 hours or more for tires I expect a courtesy van to take me home and then have my car delivered to my home after a car wash and vacuuming the inside. Sorry guys you don't meet my expectations of "Doing a good job." P.S. I had a moving dolly in the back seat that I asked them to put air in the tires for me. I even reminded the Assistant Manager to write it on the order or their work notes. He assured me it would be done. It wasn't! I was in such a rush to get home to my family before rush hour traffic formed up that I did not check the dolly tires. I don't know what more I could have done other to take it out of the car and do it myself. Please read this entire long, exciting review. We went in for an oil change because our standard place was closed on Saturday. We asked that they check the brakes because the last time we were in our guy told us they were at about 60%. Silly us, we told Firestone this. They call me and tell me that the brakes are well below 'acceptable standards' and that they should be replaced. Then gave me a quote. I call my friend who is in auto repair and he tells me it was way over quoted and gives me the price he would recommend. I call and tell them this price and they say, "Sure we can do it for this price"! So WTF was the first price? Then on Sunday as my wife and I are getting ready to pick up the car - we call and they say, "Oh yeah, we meant to call you. You're blanks are blah blah and we can't get them off without buying extra blah blah parts. It's going to cost another $200 to get the new blah blah parts." Called my friend again and aparently if they don't do a process accordingly it strips the piece and the only way to ever fix your brakes is if you buy the new parts, regardless of who does it. Not to mention, we were then told our car wouldn't be ready until after Monday which meant either my wife doesn't go to work, I don't go to work, or our kid doesn't go to daycare. So, I spent a Vacation day and watched the kid as my wife went to work. But, it's just getting started.............. So we go to pick the car up on late Monday and my wife drives it home. I them drive it to work on Tuesday and notice that the emergency brake doesn't work at all. Didn't get a chance to call. On driving home Tuesday, on a back roads, middle of nowhere location wher my cell doesn't work, I notice that I'm way above the red in heat and the car is losing power. I pull over in about 5 seconds and it's clearly overheating. So I waited around 20 minutes until I dared open the the cap in the reservoir and it literally falls off in my hands. So basically who ever put it back on either didn't know how to put on a reservoir cap or did it on purpose. I waited another 45 minutes, had to hitch home and them came back an hour later around 10 on a Tuesday with water, filled it up and had no problems after that - since I screwed the damn cap on correctly. Really wasn't that dificult- idiots. Had this happened with my wife and 6 month old in the car, I would have been back down to Firestone at 6am the next day. Anyhow.....so I call in and tell Joe that this has happened and that my emergency brake didn't work and he just stated, "Ok, no problem, bring it back in and we can take a look". No apology, which was surely because that would be admitting guilt, etc. Just a bring it on in like nothing happened. DUDE YOUR CUSTOMER SITS ON THE SIDE FO THE ROAD FOR TWO HOURS AND THE CAP WAS NOT EVEN SCREWED ON AND THE DAMN EMERGENCY BRAKE OF ALL THINGS WASN'T WORKING AND YOU'RE NOT EVEN GOING TO TALK TO THE GUY WHO FIXED IT TO DETERMINE THE ISSUE AND GET BACK TO ME??? I have received absolutelly the same service as the other clients. First of all, it took them hour and forty five minutes to get my oil change done. Associates are totally unprofessional, and not curtious at all. There were 6 associates just walking around and they all looked like lost puppies. When finally someone came out to see me, he listed number of things that are wrong with my car. By the way, my car only has 2k miles on it. I get this alot since i am a 23 yr old female. But this should not matter when it comes to ligit corporation. Next week I sent my dad to get the car inspected and there was nothing wrong with it. Hmm... Interesting huh?? Went here and put 4 tires on my car, got an alignment, oil change, and on the second car an oil change. Things seemed to go pretty well. 4 months later the second car had a low tire pressure light come on so we decided to go in, and also wanted to see if the AC system was ok since it took a while to get cold. We head in at about 11am and were told we needed to authorize a flat repair and a $10 ac check in wich we did for a total of $40. We were then told it would be a few hours so we waked home to get the other car. After 4 hours we finally get a call and the guy tells us that it's done and it will be $220. We declined the AC system recharge they were telling us it was a pound low on freeon. They then tell us that they already did the work, and we now have to wait for them to take the freeon back out. We get to the shop and have to wait another 45 minutes for them to remove the freeon. Finally we get in the car, now there is absolutely no cold air at all. After a call to their headquarters they say they will fix it and perform the recharge for free next week. So ew head back on the day they said they would be available and the manager says he will only fill it to the amount it came in with and showed me some paper that he claimed was written up when we came in. Of course I never saw this paper and no where was my signature on it. Finally I agreed just to get out of there and never return. This time though I was going to watch exactly what was done to my car. While watching, the mechanic started to talk to me about didn't he just do this car the other day, I told him a short version of what had happened. He then told me that he didn't have to repair a flat or put in a new valve, he simply tightened the valve stems and refilled the air in the tire. We were charged $30 for that. He then attempted several times to get the freeon to the same PSI it came in with and then frustratedly told me he was going to just fill it all the way because it was so time concuming to do it the manager's way. Finally another hour and it is done, we go in to get the keys and the manager tries to tell me that he authorized a comeplete fill for my troubles. Wow ok a long story not so short, liars!
