The first story doesn't make me look great, but I'll tell it like it happened. Story one: The first time I took my car there, my car was having chronic issues with the battery dying (in spite of AAA giving me a perfect battery check multiple times). A pseudo-mechanic friend messed around with it on the weekend, but concluded that my vehicle needed professional help. I dropped off my car on a busy weekday morning without an appointment. They were absolutely packed, but were willing to take my vehicle and try to diagnose the issue. They ran diagnostics and tested it in different ways over the course of a couple days, but weren't able to find any issues. My leading hypothesis is that my friend must have knocked something loose back into place. In any event, when I picked up the car, all they charged me for was the oil change. They could have EASILY charged me a ton for all the trouble my non-broken car gave them, but took the honest and transparent route. My car worked just find after I got it. Story two: During my first trip to Beroth, they identified that I had brake issues. My brakes should have still been under warranty under NTB and I told them I was going to try to see if the warranty would pay for it. I took my vehicle to NTB and they tried to charge me an exorbitant sum to replace damage due to a "failed part" (that I they installed.. that was under warranty...). In any event, I took my car into Beroth and they took care of my problem. They were able to charge me half of what NTB wanted to charge me, and did slightly less work (since some of what NTB recommended wasn't necessary). My brakes have been much better since the work they did. Overall, I'd recommend Beroth based on the two times they serviced my car. They had every opportunity to price gouge me, and they didn't. They were personable and took good care of my vehicle.

As a former service center manager of a major rental car company, I knew what brand of tires I wanted. I made the purchase online and set up the appointment on there as well. We went in on a Saturday and the parking lot was filled to the max. Was only one spot for me to park the car. I set the appointment as a drop off because I had other things to do that day. As I walked in, it was a lot of customer sitting down, waiting for their cars to be completed. I thought I made the right decision, scheduling it as a drop off instead of waiting for it because it seemed like it was going to take a while because there were so many people there already at that time in the morning. I checked in with someone and then looked towards the garage and noticed there were a lot of people in there working. They sent me on my way and said that I was all set and that they would take care of the car. They have an online system where you can track the status of your vehicle to see if it has been completed. In less than 30 minutes, I checked and seen that my car was done! I couldn't believe it and had to refresh the page again to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. It indeed was done! Went back to retrieve the car, and went on with the rest of my day. The tires were perfectly installed. I am a female which sometimes being a female you don't know places to trust because they feel like females know less about cars. I know quite a bit, but unfortunately I can't do my own basic maintenance on my car. 5 days ago after getting my oil changed here I found out some things. I want to add that my vehicle is 6 years old and with only 84,000 miles. Always timely oil changes, change of tires, up keep is done. I came in for my normal oil change and left pleased. I had confidence that the oil was changed, new oil filter, full service as always. The very next morning, I heard knocking in my car, and as I drive it, it got louder and then lost power and knocking grew louder and my car completely stopped. After I had it towed to a mechanic they said it sounds like the motor was gone. They pulled out the oil stick and showed me that the oil was added not changed, just oil added. The oil was tar black in color but you could see where new oil was poured into it. Not even the filter was taken off. On my car you have your pull off a cover to get to the oil filter. Not touched. So basically the oil poured over into the pvc/motor and flooded it. After showing Mac that the oil was not changed and he told me that he would go get my car and look at it, He didn't. Then after going over there and confronting him about it, he said he'd send a tow truck then after that still waiting, he told the tow that I'd have to pay for it. There is no responsibility being taken on his part. He keeps brushing it off. Other mechanics don't want to touch it due to what Xpress lube has done. Mac keeps beating around the bush. A true Wolf in sheep's clothing. I recommend that if you go go there that you definitely check behind them before you leave the premises. Especially if it's an oil change
