Nothing has changed with the blocking the disabled spots and walkway. The walkway was clear at times but most of the trucks and vehicles with hitches blocked it. One of our cars was in desperate need of tires after it's long and extended stay of years in the north east and it's lackluster weather conditions and roads. As a former service center manager of a major rental car company, I knew what brand of tires I wanted. I made the purchase online and set up the appointment on there as well. We went in on a Saturday and the parking lot was filled to the max. Was only one spot for me to park the car. I set the appointment as a drop off because I had other things to do that day. As I walked in, it was a lot of customer sitting down, waiting for their cars to be completed. I thought I made the right decision, scheduling it as a drop off instead of waiting for it because it seemed like it was going to take a while because there were so many people there already at that time in the morning. I checked in with someone and then looked towards the garage and noticed there were a lot of people in there working. They sent me on my way and said that I was all set and that they would take care of the car. They have an online system where you can track the status of your vehicle to see if it has been completed. In less than 30 minutes, I checked and seen that my car was done! I couldn't believe it and had to refresh the page again to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me. It indeed was done! Went back to retrieve the car, and went on with the rest of my day. The tires were perfectly installed. Avoid at all costs!!! They're negligent criminals that have no problem risking the safety of their customers. Bought a set of Michelins on their website for an install appointment yesterday. Their own website mentions how important it is to change valve stems with new tires. They never offered me the new stems, damaged the old one, and left me stranded with a flat two hours after install after the business day. Came from out of state to get the car, got stuck in NC, hundreds of dollars wasted for hotel, towing to a shop open on a Sunday, and paying another place to put in all-new valve stems so I could drive safely (parts, balancing, etc. and the techs at the other place couldn't believe what they did). If that's the service they provided me, you can bet on the possibility of getting stranded and wasting hundreds of dollars too read more

I checked in around 1:00 to have tires rotated and new wiper blades put on and was told I would be out by 2:30. I waited until 2:22 and my vehicle still had not been pulled in the bay for service. I went to the desk and asked for my keys. The male said I was the next to be pulled in and they would have me out by 2:47. I said I was told I would be out by 2:30! He commented that no mam, you were told 2:47. WRONG! I was told 2:30 which meant I would have been there an hour and a half! A pleasant but interesting experience. I went in a few weeks ago to check to see if they could life my Tesla Model S, online they said they could but I wanted to reconfirm. They check and said they could but I didn't need to yet I thought that was very cool that they didn't try to force me to buy. This week my tire pressure gauge went off post a beach trip so I knew I was ready to change my tires. Went in and bought 2 new tires, non matching which was fine I didn't want to go all crazy this Go around I was gonna change them all eventually to a Michelin set. While changing they noticed a nail in one of my previous tires while rotating they tried to remove it but accidentally ruined the tire. So they replaced all the tires for a new matching set on the car for the price of 3 tires. Even though it was their fault I wasn't mad. I would give them a 5 star based on friendly service but the extraction gone wrong dropped it to a 4. Other wise great service. read more

They have a wide variety of tires, and prices are comparable or cheaper than competitors. But, that doesn't mean squat if they won't service the vehicle to the customer's specifications. I never put new tires on the rear, I always put them on the front. Despite their philosophy of new on the rear being safer I believe otherwise from personal experience. Due to this I only put new on the front and the old on the rear (added bonus, I get a few extra miles out of my tires cuz the front wears them out faster). I actually had them refuse to place my new tires on the front because they said my front tire tread was too low to transfer to the rear. This was total BS, because I bought those tires last year and the tread is fine to good on them. It's just a gimmick they use to try and get tires to wear out faster so they can sell you more right away. Tip: Spend $20 more and go next door to Firestone. It's worth the minimal price difference. read more

Bravo and thank you to the team at Discount Tire in Burlington, NC. We were pulling out of my daughter's college apartment to head back to Dallas, TX for the holidays and we heard "thud, thud, thud" as we drove. Not a good sound to hear as you start out on such a long trip. We pulled over and discovered a wire sticking out of her tire. We immediately drove to Discount Tire (we are customers in Dallas) and they were able to fit us in between their appointments. We understand the wait because of Covid and we were only delayed about an hour and a half. We really appreciate them pulling out the remaining wire and plugging it up. They also checked all of the other tires to make sure they were properly inflated and the tread was good. The bonus is that it was all covered under their tire service. Doesn't matter how nice you come off as when you plot and steal from customers. Had a $100 credit there so went to get new tires. This guy (Jim), James Bittner literally added $100 to the actual cost of my tires when he told me the "total without credit", then charged me full price and tried to pocket the $100. Main reason I even caught him was because he tried to scam me AGAIN when I went to pay the last little bit of it the next day. I told him to take the installation fee off because I was having the tires put on somewhere that could do my suspension lift, shocks and spacers at the same time. He said ok you owe $166 after I take that off. I said how..when the installation was 64$ and I owed $204?? He "corrected" me and said no the balance was $238. I pay the 166$ and go out and check the receipt in my glove box from the day before which of course showed a balance of $204. Go back in, show him and he says how sorry he is. Then he said "again I'm sorry" after paying me..trying to get me out the door ..receipts still behind the counter in front of him. I said I need all the receipts back because now I have to look them over. He then assured me that everything else is correct and the credit had been applied. Get home and look over the receipts and go figure he never took off the $100 like he said he did 3 (!) times. I add everything up (fees,tax, took off the installation) and realized I paid full price and that he INTENTIONALLY told me $100 higher. I call up there pissed and he says hold on let me get manager. But then comes back to the phone saying ok what's your phone number. I said ??? Is this the manager?? He said no its Jim, followed by, "you know what just come get the money." Are you f***** kidding me right now. Gonna get an attitude after you steal from me?? If this place has taught me one thing, it's no matter how nice and helpful someone seems, never trust anyone who you're giving money to. Seems like common sense but I've bought from him before and everything went fine, so I'm assuming now that he's been there awhile (and probably got away with this before) he's gotten comfortable with his scamming. Just want to warn people about not only this person but the entire Burlington discount tire..because the manager was there at every transaction and when I went back to get the $100, he said " we'll go ahead and give you cash to make it easier how about that?" ... really? As opposed to what?? Another "credit"? Lmfaoooo talk about an insult. **side note** When I picked up the tires today he was still working. Lol yet another reason I think the manager was in on it. Had great experiences with these guys up until today. I called on two days ago asking about tires. They were able to pull my info up on the computer, and saw I was a repeat customer, having bought tires for two different vehicles from them. They then quoted me a price and assured me they had the tires in stock in my size. All I had to do was pop in and get them put on. Today, I send my husband down to get the tires and not only do they NOT have the tires in stock, the price has gone up. I was willing to be a loyal customer but not now that you've wasted my time and tried to pull a bait-and-switch. Sorry, Discount Tire - I'll be taking my repeat business elsewhere from now on. I had a very good experience at Discount Tire today. I purchased one tire from them a couple of years ago as a spare for my motorhome (for some reason they often do not come with a spare tire). Other than that i have never done any other business with them. I noticed that they advertise free tire pressure checks and even have an outside lane dedicated to this. I decided to bring the motorhome in today to have the tire pressure checked. It is not easy to do on any of the tires but especially on the two inner tires on the rear. It was a rainy day and i hated to ask them to check it but i had not done it in over a year. Ken came out immediately and offered to help. He thought that he might have to put it up on a lift in order to get to the rear tires but was willing to do this at no charge. He did figure a way to check it without doing this but it still involved lying down on the wet pavement to get to all six of them. I was really impressed by the his dedication and friendly service. I will definitely come back when i need to buy new tires. read more

My BMW's tires were well overdue for replacement, just as an errant screw found its way on to the road and through one of the treads. Remembering all of the occasions when Discount Tire has helped me with a repair, I decided to entrust them with the work to replace the entire set. On my first visit, the 20" tire size that I needed wasn't in stock. The Discount Tire team provided a loaner to keep me in business while the new tires were on order. One of the best experiences I have ever had at a retail outlet. I had a flat tire and called them. Spoke to Jim who was one of the most engaging and professional people I have dealt with. He said to bring in tire and if we can repair it, there would be no charge. I, of course, assumed that they wouldn't be able to repair and I would need to buy a new tire. My tires only had 18K miles so they were relatively new. When I arrived Jim greeted me and said just have a seat and we will take care of you. They rolled the car in and a fella named Karl came to me about 20 minutes later and said we fixed your tire and the patch will last longer than the tire. I then said that there is nothing free and he lightheartedly stated that it's not because we need you to tell other people about us. Otherwise there was no charge. And that's what I'm doing. I RECOMMEND this Discount Tire location wholeheartedly and I will ALWAYS use them in the future. Once again, the nicest and most professional people. Way over priced!!! Highway robbery 2011 Honda Accord LX basic oil change was $76.00, the only reason I had them do it we had an emergency come up and I was working and couldn't get to change my oil before we left in the morning due to me working all night so we took it there because they were the last place we could find that took walk ins. But $76 for a dang Honda Accord that takes 4 bottles of dang oil! They are a joke don't ever go there you will be ripped of, the manager even said they had a coupon but since my wife didn't ask about it they didn't honor it.... What kind of crap is that? Had an emergency happen on interstate to driver's side tire (with 5 kids in tow). Called Discount Tire at 5:59P (1 min before they closed) explained the situation.
