Was told to take my truck to Firestone on March 23 got a call on that Tuesday and they told me what the problem was on the truck said it will be ready Wednesday, then got a updated call on Wednesday saying that the part didn't come in, then we called Thursday to get a update on the truck they proceeded to say that my truck will be ready that Friday. So we got tired of waiting we stopped by on that Friday and the truck was just sitting in a parking spot, called again on Saturday and was told it will be ready on Monday, Now we had to take our truck to another dealership. My friend came in today for a simple o change and tire rotation. Called ahead of time to schedule an appointment days before and called before coming in for service today. Was told both times she would be in and out under an hour. Three hours later (with little to no updates from employees there) she out for the car back, however the time difference caused her to miss multiple appointments that took time to schedule around this service. Businesses getting busy is fine. Happens all the time. But if that delay isn't being relayed to people it can cause confusion, anger, and any number of unintended consequences. Had an appointment for 10 am for an oil change (something that takes maybe 30 minutes). At 1230pm I called to just ask how it was going (not demanding it to be done or angry is has not been completed, only wanted to plan the rest of my day) the attendant said it was being worked on now, that they only had two techs today. He refused to give me an ETA. At 330pm I called again. The attendant said it was not ready, he acknowledged that I had an appointment and that the car was still being worked on. I asked how could that be possible, three hours ago he said the car was in the air being worked on. He could not give me any answers. His solution was to reschedule the appointment. I went to pick the car up because I need to take myself to the airport, my car was in the same space unmoved from when I dropped it off this morning. I don't like being lied to. Another thing is no one will answer the phone, you have to call twice to get anyone to answer and when they do there is no sort of customer service. I am not looking for anything extra but someone semi pleasant to speak to me over the phone--most car issues are hell and I don't need someone being rude and short with me while I'm making an appointment or checking on my car. I will not be back because of this experience. Management needs to ensure that the workers are not lying to customers and they know how to prioritize their time management so customers don't continue to have the issue I have had. read more

They lost my bulky car keys, never to be found again. They refused to change my water pump under warranty because another store did it. They worked on my car two different times and my car is still leaking fluid and I am unable to drive it. If I could give this place a zero I most definitely would. read more

I took my car in originally for an oil change/air filter change, and a diagnostic check since I paid off my car. While with them my shift cable broke, which I don't blame them for, the part was recalled and I found that out later. However, in the midst of figuring out what to do, they were rude to me and condescending, they called my husband instead of me to discuss my car. I had to have my car towed 50 miles, I truthfully asked for help towing because I turned in a fully functioning car, which deeply offended the manager. I had to take it to the nearest dealership. Mind you, the part that needed to be replaced was apart of the transmission. In order to get my car back in park they BROKE my gear shift, and that is there fault. They decided to not mention that. I have to get that fixed now as well, because the plastic is getting caught as I shift. $1300, and all I came for was an oil change. read more

I made an appointment on a Sunday and brought my car in to Firestone in Okatie, SC because the check engine light and the tire pressure light was on. The service person said he could not fix it on Sunday because he was short handed but could diagnose the problem and made another appointment for Monday. I was charged $120.24 to connect to the computer. I brought the car in the following day to complete the repair. The part cost $92.99. It took 40 minutes to complete the repair and the labor cost was $171.60. This is outrageous! I have never been charged to plug the car into the computer especially when the work was being done there!. read more

This is the worst place around. Dropped our truck off first thing in the morning to get tires that we had purchased put on, an alignment, as well as an oil change. We were told we wouldn't get it back until 4-5pm. We received a call at 4:15 stating they didn't have the right size tool to put the tires on. So my fiancée asked if we brought the tool that they needed, could they get it done, and they said they could. My fiancée gets there with the tool and a rude employee stated that they can't get to our truck???? He also stated that had we of bought the tires from them maybe they would've had the incentive to get our truck done. The gentleman's name that was so rude is Bobby. This place is absolutely awful! Please do not take your car here! I took mine in to get my tire patched up because I ran over a nail. When I went to go pick it up, EVERY single light on my dashboard was on to the point where I couldn't drive my car out of the parking lot! Everything was perfectly fine when I brought it in. Now I have to find a way to get my car to the Toyota dealership to fix what they did! This place deserves props! I was on my way back to Atlanta in a rental car when my tire went completely flat . Every other tire shop on the island turned me away, but they took me even thought they were slammed after hearing my story. I was eternally grateful. I visited this business on Friday due to getting a flat tire on the highway . I was told there was a 2 hour wait ! We left went to eat came back and was told there was another hour of wait time ! This place was terrible and the staff were incompetent. I made an appointment to get 2 tires put on and alignment for a 2017 Audi Q7 which is an SUV. When I pulled up they were questioning if the car was high enough to get on the alignment rack which is nuts since it's a stock SUV. Then (without looking anything up) they proceeded to tell me they can't align it because of all the "cameras". They said they would try and my appointment was for 1pm, which I was 5 min early for. I came back an hour later and they had not touched my car. They also tried to tell me they wouldn't install my brand new oem sensors since I didn't buy from them. They wanted me to get them from autozone. I ended up taking my vehicle without letting the do the work because I had no confidence in their abilities. I looked out the window of the waiting room at 5:00 pm to see my care was back in the parking lot. I asked the counter operson if it was done. He said no, it hasn't been taken back yet. Worst experience ever. Stopped by to get an oil change On Wednesday. Just an oil change. The person behind the counter said they could not do it. They were to busy. Asked if they were open on Saturday, person was short with me and said yes they were. Accidentally they damaged my wheel and when I picked up my truck the manager proactively pointed this out and provided me with someone who could fix it at their expense. So disappointing, two different times. 1. My wife went in to get her oil changed and they only had 2 techs available. She had made an appointment a week in advance and late enough in the day that it would have been wise to call her and tell her to reschedule. Instead, it took an hour and a half. The tech checked nothing, just did a routine oil change and argued with the customer sales rep about not having the proper paperwork to check things like the fucking tires. We walked out as they were arguing because we had already wasted enough of our time there. 2. Got my oil changed here last week and noticed a massive oil leak that's now ruined my driveway. I took my car back in and they assured me nothing was wrong, they checked everything and said it was "good to go". I had a gut feeling that they were wrong and a massive oil leak the next day that assured me they were full of crap. Well, another oil leak later, I decided to go to the Bluffton location. They are trying to diagnose the problem by running dye through the engine to identify where the leak is coming from, but mentioned that the rear seal may have been pushed because the Okatie location overfilled the car with oil. While traveling back to Central GA from Hilton Head, we ran into engine trouble with our minivan. From the outset, the entire team at Firestone were kind and extremely helpful. They took time to explain the problem and when they were unable to fully fix the problem, they displayed helpful empathy and did what they could to help us establish a workable plan to get us and our 4 kids home safely. Turns out, and to keep a long story short, we ended up back the next morning with a different vehicle needing a new tire and they had us back on the toad within the hour. I have had several issues with my SUV, it's a GMC so basically it's a jigsaw puzzle ! So, needless to say, any repairs done to it are time consuming because apparently everything that breaks is on the bottom of everything else ! LOL Seriously though, Dennis is an awesome mechanic, this last visit, he worked on my SUV all day, well past when he was supposed to leave just so it would be done before Thanksgiving the next day. The service here is excellent. My car had a low pressure light and I drove in without an appt.They told me to drive to the first bay and someone would take care of me. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, & SANITY!!!!!!! I had to hat should've been the easiest fix. For reference, I have a 2005 Honda CR-V that has a spare tire on the back. I got a flat tire driving onto the island and I had AAA come out and put my spare tire on and my flat in the trunk. I drove to this Firestone because it is closest to my house. I took the girl at the front desk and showed her it the flat tire in my trunk to see if it could be patched and I showed her that it was my front right tire and I also asked that they rotate the tires. She said that's fine and that she would call me to update me. So 6 hours later I had to go to work and my car wasn't ready but that was fine. I got a call on my way to work from the front desk lady saying that they found nothing wrong with my front right tire. my jaw dropped "ummm yea because that is my spare on the car right now and the flat is in the trunk" She said "Ohhhh okay" then she hangs up and I get a call about 15 minutes later and she said "okay your car is ready" so I couldn't pick it up til the next day. So I went to pick it up and I noticed that the new tire was put back on the front right meaning they didn't rotate my tires. So I went back in and they said "ohhh you want the new one on the back"......So long story short I do not trust them because they couldn't even understand the easiest tasks. Regarding this store's location at Sheraton in Bluffton, SC: I had an appointment for an oil change. When I arrived I was told it would take longer than usual due to the fact that the doors to 3 of the 5 bays were being replaced. Since I was there and wanted to check that chore off my list, I stayed. They had my car 2-1/2 hours, while I sat there. I saw the car being brought out and parked and then the guy behind the desk told me the brake fluid was corroded and needed changing. I asked why didn't they tell me while it was still on the rack and he said because they were so busy and behind. I maintain two things: #1 - they should never have scheduled their day for five bays when they were only going to have two in operation and, #2 - they should have called at least half of their scheduled customers that day and given them the choice of rescheduling. Now I'm out that time and I still have to take my car somewhere and get new brake fluid. It won't be the Firestone at 8 Mallet in Bluffton, SC! read more

I brought my car to Firestone on Nov 9,2015 for an oil change and to get my brakes checked. They found that the brakes were OK and just needed cleaning. They also recommended replacing the front half shafts at that time which I approved. When I picked up the car, the ABS indicator was on. The mechanic told me that it would probably go out after a while as there were no codes indicating a problem. On November 10, I brought the car back in because the the ABS light was still on. After a couple of days, they said the codes indicate a bad ABS sensor and that they would order one and call me when it was fixed. On November 23, 2015 we contacted Firestone customer help on line for assistance with the problem. This resulted in us finally getting our car back with a promise to call when the part came in. Today is December 17. Still no call from them but it no longer matters as I didn't feel safe driving the car in this condition, and traded it in recently with the ABS lamp still on. I use to go to a shop in Bluffton that every time I went in for a oil change I end up leaving with a 200 bill for other stuff. I have been going to firestone for a few years now. I had major car issues and was having some hard times. The guys at fire stone no only helped me with coupons but they took off almost $300 in labor and parts. As another reviewer stated, don't bother making an appointment. We had an appointment for 9:30am to have two tires replaced (ordered the tires a few days ago). It is now 11:44 and we are just now leaving. At 11:20 we asked what was taking so long and they said they had done a "free alignment test" and we needed to have an alignment done. They apologized for neglecting to mention the test but their words do me no good at this point as I have now missed my other commitments. I understand if further service is required or offered however the customer should be informed and not just left to wait. Over two hours to mount, balance and install two tires is and should be an embarrassment to a tire shop. read more

To let me know he had personally talked to the manager of the store and given her my review to go over it with her employees. He sincerely apologized for the service I had received and let me know it was not acceptable. He was beyond polite and understood where i was coming from. I didn't except to be contacted be someone personally to address the issue and it was appreciated. While my experience as this location was not even close to standard it was very nice to have better customer service to fix the issues I had endured. I only have a 1 because I was forced to give them something. We live an hour away from the this firestone so we called prior to confirm we would be able to get an oil change, tires put on, and an alignment before they closed. They said yes. So we dropped my car off at 3pm. And was told it would be done by 7pm (when they closed). We got here at 6:30pm and my vehicle didn't even have tires on it yet let alone have the tire mounted to the rims. It is now 7:30pm and they JUST put tires on my vehicle. The little blonde girl up front has gone to the back several times to talk shit about my husband and I coming back in to one time saying "I hope they don't say anything to me about it, it will not go down well" which I think is HIGHLY rude and unprofessional. There is also an older lady that has been waiting for her vehicle too. Dropped off her vehicle yesterday and she is still waiting with us. The little blonde didn't even acknowledge this older woman even walked into the door. We just got asked if we still wanted the alignment we said yes that's another reason we came here. He said okay it'll be about 25 minutes. So not only have we been sitting here for an hour at this point but now have to wait another 25. This is beyond unacceptable. I have been using firestone since 2009 but now I think it's time to start taking my business elsewhere.
