They are good people who do good work, but don't be in a hurry. They are wildly understaffed and end up working long hours to make up for it. A 1000 appointment turns into a 5-6 pm pick up. Great folks, but they need help! read more

What a difference six years make. I was worried about going to this Firestone location after reading some previous reviews, but decided to pop in on a Thursday morning to ask about new tires. Christian, the service manager, was an absolute help on this. I told him I was worried about price and he helped me with finding the best tires and even assisted me with filling out a credit application. After that, we found the tires that he thought would work best on my car and set an appointement for Saturday. I came in a little early for my appointemt, but Kenneth, the technician that worked on my car, said that wasn't an issue and told me it would be a couple of hours. I asked him whie the tires were off if he could check the brakes as well. They were not grinding or squealing, but I am getting close to 45k miles and wanted it checked. I went to the Exchange for some shopping and when I came back, the car was nearly done -- 30 minutes ahead of schedule! Kenneth said the brakes looked great and didn't need work, but my alingment was off, which is what had caused some bad tread wear on my prevous tires. They took the time to fix the alignment and then made sure I understood the invoice, the roadside hazard guarantee, the lifetime alingment and even pointed me to some helpful rebates on the tires I had just bought. From now on out, this Firestone will probably be my go to for car maintenance in the future, the staff was polite and helpful and the service was top-notch. Well done! read more

I don't typically like to go to Firestone, as I tend to have bad experiences. I was in a pinch and knew I needed a tire, so I stopped in. First, William at the counter was very quick and pleasant to deal with. Great customer service, which is a rarity for Shreveport/Bossier. Second, he showed me the issue with the tire and then, despite my car's advanced age, said he looked hard at the suspension and saw no problems. The prices were great. Military discount and no tax on top of a tire sale. As long as William's there, I will look at Firestone for my car needs. My go-to mechanic is either of the Ashley's Automotive, but now I have a great place even closer to home when I need it. read more

I made an appointment to drop my car off on Fri at 4:00 pm for an oil change, wheel balance/rotation and an alignment check and was told it would be ready by 11:00 am Sat. At 12:30 I still had not herd from them so I called and was told they had not started on my car yet but they would pull it in and it would be ready in an hour I reminded them that I needed my car back today they said no problem, I gave them 3 hours to work on my car at 4:00 pm I called and was told they were just about to pull it in to work on it I asked how they new witch car I was calling about since I hadn't told them witch car I was calling about I was told "it's on the schedule" (apparently the schedule they never look at) since I couldn't wait any longer I told them not to do anything to my car that I would be rite down to pick it up. when I picked it up they never said a word no apology no explanation nothing just handed me my key with out a word. I've been bringing by car's to this firestone store for 10 years for everything tires, oil changers, alignments everything this is the first time I ever walked away angry they had my car for 24 hours and did nothing they didn't even have the courtesy to call me and let me know that they were having trouble getting to it just left me hanging. I could understand when they were under staffed there could be a delay getting work done but I counted at least 5 different people working there so there's no reason not to get cars out on time or at least calling to let you know what's going on so you can adjust your plans. I will never take my car's to another firestone you have lost a 10 year customer for good. No I do not recommend anyone use Firestone ever! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Every single time I go here they try to tell me I need something else, besides the service I'm there for. The last time I was there they said I needed new windshield wipers, which I could purchase from them and pay them to put them on. I told the guy that was funny considering I had just purchased the ones currently on my car and that they were so new the recipe was still sitting on my kitchen counter! When I came to pick my car up the guy apologized and said that my wipers were fine they just weren't on right- interesting?! Considering this wasn't the first time they had tried to up sell me, I was so irritated that I swore I'd never go back and I didn't for a very long time; until I received a coupon for an oil change. On Saturday I brought my car in for the oil change. I was told by the man working the counter that they were busy so it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait- which I agreed to. Two hours later, I check in the with man to see how much longer it would be as I noticed they still hadn't taken my car back. I could tell he was annoyed that I had even asked as he reminded me that they had had a full shop and my car would be done in twenty minutes. Another hour goes by when the man called me to the counter. He explained that whoever did my oil change before had cross thread my oil plug and that I would need a whole new oil pan which would cost me over $500 ($279 for oil pan and $210 for labor, plus tax). He said that for now they would put an oversized plug in but next oil change I would need to the replacement done. Well over three hours later, I left the store feeling very upset for both my ridiculous wait and the dreaded bill I was facing next oil change. Side note: any good customer service employee would have addressed me in the waiting room after an hour and a half to let me know they were running behind and it would be another hour and a half before they got to my car. This way I had the information to decide whether or not I wanted to continue waiting or just come back. Maybe I'm overly nice in thinking other people's time matter?! Angry, I took my car and the "stripped" oil plug back to Meineke, who had done my previous oil change, the very next week. I stood there as they put my car in the air and checked out what Firestone had done/claimed. To my astonishment, Firestone had NOT put an oversized plug in. In fact, it was the exact same size plug that they had originally taken out. It was clear that Firestone was trying to get over on me and to make matters worse, Mieneke said that if I ever did/do need an new oil pan that they would charge me $28 for the part and nothing for the labor. Now I'm not very good at math but the disparity between prices is unbelievable!!! I will never, ever, EVER use Firestone again for anything, and I especially will never use the one on base. It is a darn shame that this company tries to take advantage of military members and their families. Charging for services they don't provide and making up issues that aren't there. They should be removed from being allowed to service the base and I will tell anyone and everyone I know or meet to STAY AWAY!!!! ***Update*** I sent the email as requested with the invoice number and description of my experience to SocialCare@bfrc.com on April 5, 2016 at 8:55 PM. I have not yet been contacted regarding the matter. Also, as you can see I paid for synthetic oil which should be good up to 5,000 miles but the sticker on my car is only marked for 3,000 miles- so who really knows if I got the oil I paid for or maybe this was another deceitful tactic so that I would come in 2,000 miles early?! To top it off, they never reset my Maintanence Required light so it was still on after leaving. In all fairness, that was really not a huge deal but it really should have been done with the oil change. read more
