I'm very disappointed with my experience with Firestone, Turner St., Allentown. When I called they said they could fix my car air conditioner at a reasonable price. After $1600 they didn't fix anything, said it would be another $1500 to continue with no guarantee of fixing it. They didn't want to continue. I took the loss and took it to a dealership, they found the problem and fixed it for under a thousand dollars. Firestone also had the audacity to list other repairs for over $2000, I would never go back there, and never go there with air conditioning problems. They should have given me money back. read more

This place is the worst! The staff are pleasant and have great personalities, but don't know what they're doing ir talking about and lie for their own convenience. The technicians will damage your vehicle while repairing something that else and refuse to be responsible for the damage. They'll try to cobble together some temporary repair or use the cheapest method to rectify a problem they caused, leaving you with a vehicle that is worse of than when you brought it to them! Don't waste your time or money here! This place needs to be shut down! And from experiences with the one on Mill Creek Rd, seems like par for the course with Firestone! read more

I brought my vehicle to this Firestone location thinking that they couldn't mess up a simple oil change.. " Boy was I wrong ". Seems like their expert technicians used an impact on my drain plug and stripped the bolt and / or pan threads to the point that on my next oil change attempt, they could not get the plug out. My last three oil changes were done by that location and luckily for me, they had me in their system and could not deny the claim.. So they send my vehicle to a so called specialist to replace my oil pan. In doing so they had to remove some of the suspension which meant that they were supposed to realign my vehicle after the work was done. It was never done. Went there last week for an state inspection including Emission, next you know, I see them draining oil!? After clarifying again my requested service, they topped off oil. When I was leaving their drive way I felt there was something up with my front right tire...I stopped and located a screw in my tire. So I went back and they had to pin it. Where it gets really frustrating...I left today for a trip towards Maine and the Oil light came on within first hour indicating that there is too much oil in the engine...had to stop at a shop and sure enough they diagnosed that there was way too much oil present. This service cost me another oil change. And I had it just had an oil change done last Monday. This is extremely frustrating because of loss of money and time. I cannot recommend that particular shop and I won't use it ever again. read more

Their diagnostic equipment seems stuck in a rut. Come in for a check engine light? Get an alignment. Three months and 417 miles after the last visit . They know 83 year old widows when they see them. My moms car has 12,500 miles on it and it needed two alignments on a 2015 Chevy? That's why they're technicians and not mechanics. A phone call got me two men with the same answers. Then I call at 11:00 to find out they say the parts will be there at 2:00 so I go in Parts won't get there till 3:30 and have to wait another hour after that. I used to go here. Got my inspection done last year and prior. I don't know what happened but this time was completely different. Kids were in the back where they work on the car. Friends coming and gossiping. They were talking about how some dude got arrested. Went there for an engine diagnostic, repair, and inspection. Didn't expect to enter reality TV. They took my bumper off to put in a sensor that is located in the engine. This is probably why the labor charge was so high. I got there Monday morning. Was told they would have an update on my car in 2-3 hours. Car was not done until after 6:30pm the next day. I had to get a rental. I was late dropping it off because they kept lying about when the car would be ready. Thank God for the hour grace period. Anyway when I picked up the car, the check engine light was still on. They told me they fixed it and to drive over 100 miles so the check engine light can come off and they will run an emission test to put the stickers on. THAT WAS A LIE!! Did all that driving and nothing. Then I called and they told me to come in at 7am Saturday morning. I did. However, the mechanic who worked on my car did not. He was late. Then they found out they ordered the wrong part. So another "2-3 hours". Didn't even take the car to the back just popped the hood. Wonder why they took the bumper off in the first place. SMH. Then after all that they said they could not do the inspection. Didn't even try. Thank God for life saving auto max up the street who took care of me. They also told me that you can't drive a check engine light off to get an inspection sticker. The check engine has to me gone first. Then drive to get 100+ the emission test done !! Wow!! I was just in there for a state inspection with a brand new certified car from Toyota. They failed me and said I need 600 dollars worth of major work. Of course I said no but still had to pay 76 dollars for the inspection. I took it to a Toyota machine today and he said my car did not need what they told me I failed for. In face the part was in perfect condition. Apparently they think I am stupid or something. DO NOT go here!!!! They must have paid these other people to write good reviews. So it has been one month and no one from management has yet to contact me about this. I even called the store a few times and nothing. BAD ASSES OF THE VALLEY I went to Firestone Allentown when I experienced car trouble. I thought it was the transmission given the way it sounded and that I could not find any other examinable source of the noise. I tried to get my vehicle to this shop but my vehicle could not make it, and so I walked the last five minutes of the drive. Firestone was able to send a tow truck an hour and half later and retrieve the vehicle. They promptly looked at it and discovered the problem was with a brake caliper coming off. This was a simple fix, and as was necessary, they continued to examine the entire brake system and the remainder of the car for defects. Although one may argue this was an attempt to get more money, they found profound problems with the rear brakes. I know enough about brake systems to know if one leaks and gets air into the system then the whole system has no ability to stop the vehicle. So I had the rear brakes repaired as well. They also identified my vehicle was burning oil, so they added some. Some of the other problems with the vehicle Firestone identified I did not have anything done about since they were negligible problems for the time being. They did a great job showing me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. They did not charge me for towing, nor for rotating the tires since all of the tires were off the vehicle anyway. They fixed things relatively fast given I had not made an appointment. The three staff members I dealt with were always courteous and the price was fair. I have no complaints about Firestone and they performed from start to finish like true bad asses. I would recommend these men and this Firestone to anyone. read more

I am here at firestone and it's packed to the brim yet you had three employees in front of the store two mechanics and the receptionist, talking about the COVID19 vaccine. My car sat on the lot untouched for over an hour, I went to ask the congregated mechanics when my car will be started on because i had an appointment and i hear the mechanic talking about i'm on break etc etc. I did not know that firestone allowed employees to break in the front of the store talking about personal issues. I did not know that when you make an appointment you still had to wait over an hour and to top it all off they left the top of my oil compartment opened so this piece broke off and i had to go the next day and get money from them to buy the piece for them to tell me they couldn't do it this week i am here two weeks later with a broken cap and they still have no space! i don't recommend anymore it's sad but no read more

Came here to have my left turn blinker fixed. They allegedly "fixed" it but twenty minutes of driving and the bulb burned out again. I returned to the store where they proceeded to tell me it was due to an electrical short and that they saw "wires melted". I had my suspicions and took the car to my Valvoline. They identified that Firestone has grabbed an incorrect bulb and actually shaved off the setter tabs to make the bulb fit! They found a correct bulb and I've been driving no issues since! I came here for an alignment because my car was pulling right while driving. they told me I needed ball joints (499.99 total) new tires (301.99) and If I dont fix it now I should purchase an Alignment package because i will need another alignment after the repairs are done? of coarse I denied it all and told them to just alignment it for me. Don't trust this shop, actually avoid any chain car shop. They are in business to make as much as possible and will add anything and everything to make more money. My mother asked me to call around and get some estimates on four new tires for her car. Because I know cars and work on my own, she entrusted me how to find the best deal. I spoke with someone on the phone who gave me a "great price" and low and behold a big sale just happen to be going on so the phone quote offered for new tires for $650 with balancing. This was the best deal I could find for brand new tires and a 5-year warranty, and admittedly I didn't know any better on this one item because I personally have never been able to afford four brand new tires on my car I've always had to get used tires or one or two new ones at a time. Unfortunately I was unable to go with her when she actually brought her car into Firestone and she came home with not only four new tires (with horrible whirring noise on the road and were supposed to be "super quiet") but an estimate for all the work that she needed done totaling about $3,000. I was completely shocked because her car runs perfectly fine aside from the tire sensor light which I guess they decided to take full advantage of her on this one item and told her she not only needed complete set of brakes but alignment (the ONLY thing she DID need) but also struts and shocks and some other exorbitant repairs were imminent. Of course, she would break down on the side of the road and be stranded if she didn't get these done right away according to them. Fortunately for me and my mother, she wanted a second opinion (including mine) and I looked at the estimate and hit the roof when I saw they were they charging $900 for just the front and rear brake PADS! And labor time and cost struck me as insane! $200 an hour!? First of all, you don't have to know anything about cars but trust me when I tell you it doesn't take 5 hours to do brake pads on a car, ANY standard type of vehicle is two, tops. It takes me about an hour to do front and rear pads on my car and that is with no special equipment just a standard hydraulic jack and a socket set. I am 120lb and petite woman and my knowledge of cars is not some fantastic training-only because I at one point was very poor and had a mechanic neighbor who showed me how to do things on my own... Ive been doing that ever since and it's because of people like Firestone that gouge and lie and scheme people like my Mom and women in general. I almost found it funny when I went in to the same Firestone a week later on an exploratory inquiry on my own. Yep, you guessed it, they tried to pull the exact same thing on me and came up with a $2000 estimate for my car. When I asked them to show me what was wrong I literally was lied to my face by these people! They were pointing at things that don't exist, making up terms and saying things were wrong that were visibly NOT and telling me I needed to fix them because they were broken. When all is said and done they we're extremely defensive and accused me of being crazy and not knowing what I was talking about but ultimately I really embarrassed them pretty badly when I stopped playing stupid and started telling them exactly what was what and what wasn't wrong with my car and became clear that I knew what I was talking about and probably more so than they did. How DARE they even try to scam anyone like that! These guys must work on commission or something because I've never ever been to a shop this bad before!!!! if that is the case though I will say it's not entirely their fault and Firestone as a corporation needs to get a grip and pay their employees fair wages so that not everybody suffers for their greed. This place is completely disgusting all the way from the top down to the lowest grunt for everyone is complicit in this kind of treachery and it's horrible. read more

We were driving from VA to NY on our family vacation today when out of the blue our tire valve popped off our tire and resulted in an instant flat. We put on the spare and drove about 50 miles, all the while searching for someone to repair or replace our tire. It's a Sunday-no one is open. How fortunate we were to search yelp and find this Firestone! They saw us immediately, assessed the situation and showed us why we had to replace it. When we got out of the car with our 2 young children and our dog to wait (in the blazing heat) for the repairs, Mark came out to invite us all inside (including the dog!) to escape the heat. We used their nice clean restrooms while waiting. They fixed it and had us on our way in about 15 minutes. read more
