Came here for lunch while snowboarding. The tables are well spaced for social distancing, and the staff was nice, but they weren't as attentive as I would have liked. They were busy, but they also have fewer tables in the dining space. The food was decent. We ordered a salad and wrap. read more

The restaurant was half empty a couple weeks ago when I tried this place out with my family and young kids. We were seated quickly and then waited patiently for 15 minutes for service which never came. We got up and left to go eat in the cafeteria where the food was mediocre at best. Vail has ruined ski roundtop to get rich. This place used to be good when the family owned the mountain. read more

You guys....I have NO idea why this place only has 2 stars! Yes, I agree that the food is overpriced, however, if you are an avid skier/snowboarder you are well aware that any food you purchase on the mountain will be expensive so it's not fair to judge this place on price alone. I had the cheeseburger with onion rings and it was perfect. Perfectly cooked patty, fresh toasted bun, lots of veggies to add (onion, lettuce, tomato) and massive onion rings fried to perfection. Only thing I would change is to add a little more salt/spices to the onion ring batter. The others I was dining with had the cheeseburger, brie and onion burger and the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla. The quesadilla was one of the best I've ever had. Full of flavor! Loved it! Fireside Pub a great lunch/dinner spot after a day on the mountain. Be prepared to open up your wallet but don't complain about it - just the way it is when you're eating on a resort. read more

Poor service. Poor attitudes. No accountability. After addressing services issues with the manager and receiving a very cold response like it went in one ear and out the other. At the conclusion of this discussion the server in question projected across the dining room ' He doesn't care!' A juvenile, sophomoric response from someone who is in a position to be the face of your brand? After ordering a sandwich and asking to have the kitchen cut it in half the server sharply replied 'their too busy I will bring you a knife'. I wasn't asking for a whole lot but one might think we were asking for something that was completely out of bounds. And when the sandwich was delivered she literally threw the plate and knife on the table. Poor attitude and service. Hospitality is a service industry, of which this server is unaware of. How difficult it must be to have a sandwich delivered cut in half. Trying find places with good service isn't easy especially with the entitlement of folks like these. The food was typical resort fare, edible with the resort inflation added to the menu cost. The manager did eventually give us a discount on the bill, so that was nice. read more

This is my second time at Fireside Pub, as I wait for my crew to enjoy their night skiing adventure. As they carve the slopes, I hang out and enjoy the view at a lovely window seat (with plugs - which are hard to find). My Cobb Salad was just as delicious as the 2 waitresses recommended - the bleu cheese was perfect (not too much or too little), along with crispy bacon, and the rest. The beer service is bottle only and with a decent assortment. And, the prices are really fair, especially given how many ski resort restaurants rip off their guests. The atmosphere is relaxed and the banter is normal for a pub restaurant. There's a fireplace and not a ton of monitors with sports or news playing (yay!). And the service! My waitress, Nicki, could not have been friendlier and patient - she completely understood my goal of hanging out and working on my laptop. She came by enough to check in on me and give a great recommendation for a non-alcoholic beer, as there's no snoozing allowed on my 1.5 hr drive home tonight ;) All in all, love it. Am thrilled the kids wanted to ski here at Roundtop versus another place, since finding such a spot at Whitetail or elsewhere is iffy. read more

Decent alternative to the cafeteria food. Everything is made to order. The place was swamped and we still got sat at a decent time and our food came in a reasonable amount of time too. I got the Brie and caramel iced onion burger, which was pretty good! The chips were super tasty and crunchy! Wings are breaded! But big and good. Hubs got a beer that he thoroughly enjoyed and my margarita was strong and tasty. Overall a solid meal. Probably more like 3.5 stars but I felt bad and I thought this place could use a little love. read more

Do NOT eat here if you like your health. We were served RAW chicken wings. YES RAW. You can see from the photo I posted on the storefront. Apparently the bartender said this wasn't the first time today it happened. Ummm what??? If I get sick I will be FedEx'ing you my vomit and diarrhea. I felt bad for the bartender who had to deal with the mishaps - totally not her fault but it does rub me the wrong way about the entire establishment as a whole. What else is being fucked up? Fireside Pub & Grill - How do you like your wings? Rare?! DISGUSTING! - Pubs Near Me - Lewisberry, Pennsylvania

When taking a break from the chill of the slopes at Roundtop, head to Fireside Pub and Grill to warm yourself up. The food is very reasonably priced for a ski resort. Entrees are about $9-12, and include the usual array of burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, soups, etc. There are also plenty of warming appetizers, such as wings, "frontier fries, nachos grande, etc. I had the soup du jour and 1/2 sandwich combination. The soup was a sweet potato and corn chowder combination, and the sandwich was grilled monte crisco - something I have never had before but it totally hit the spot for the combination of sweet and salty. My fiance had the turkey reuben sandwich with an order of fries on the side (an extra $2). Drinks were ok - iced tea and hot chocolate each $2.75. There are daily specials, for every day of the week except for Saturday (go figure). Alcoholic drinks seemed a bit overpriced...but then again, maybe it is to deter people from drinking and skiing. That can't be a good combination! You'd be lucky to nab a table right by the fireplace, or by the window. The seating can be a bit cramped at high-time, and the service is not the best (wait staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowd - there was no hostess to seat us, so we seated ourselves, and then had two servers alternate in taking our orders and checking in on us). Good soul satisfying food to fuel round 2 on the slopes, or to serve as a wind-down when you're done for the day. Having an area for take-out or a quick bite would be a great improvement. read more

Stopped in aroUnd 2pm on Friday, Jan 24. Had to clear off a table in dining room ourselves. After 10 minutes and no sign of server moved to bar. No bartender at first either. When she did show up she ignored us. When we called her over she was rude. Said she was the manager and they were short staffed. Even told us that people at other end of bar had waited 20 minutes for service. If she could have been a little friendly and apologetic I wouldn't have minded so much. Food was good. We just returned from a Friday night dinner- husband, myself and two teenagers, at the Fireside Pub. What a lovely experience. The wait staff were so pleasant and eager to please. Seamless service; good, hot, just out of the kitchen pub food; nice jazz band; refills on drinks that just kept coming and a beautiful space to boot. We've had so many negative experiences at new places we were hesitant, but we will go back. What a great experience to leave a restaurant feeling relaxed and full of yummy food. I don't know anyone affiliated with this establishment, but it is clear when you enter that you are a valued guest and that they will do all they can to assure a great dining experience. Bravo. I didn't order the wings and I don't care about football, so here's what I do have to say about dining at the Fireside. It's nothing remarkable...the food is about what you'd expect for your average neighborhood pub grub place - nachos appetizers, etc. The ambiance is dark wood, low light and the expected fireplace (skiers would riot without one, I'm sure). And, while sitting by the windows may sound attractive and offers a great view of the mountain, it is damn drafty. However, here is the genius of the Fireside...if you have a choice between paying $10.05 for a hot dog, fries and non-refillable fountain drink and then sitting at long rows of tables at the cafeteria one floor down with 500 of your closest snowboarding friends and getting a decent sandwich, a little bit of ambiance and really attentive service for $12 at the Fireside, what would you do? The choice becomes even more clear when it's $4 rail drink night. Head upstairs. It's worth the climb, even in ski boots. read more

This is a typical ski resort restaurant you eat here because you need a break from being on the mountain and are looking for a calmer spot than the "cafeteria" down below. Yes the prices are a little steep ($10 for onion rings???) but you should expect that at a ski resort. They have a decent sized menu with a good list of beers, cocktails and wine. The food is basic pub style food (fries, burgers, nachos, wings etc.) I've had the burger which was ok, it wasn't really cooked to how I asked for it but it wasn't worth sending it back. The onion rings and fries were good. My wife had a bowl of chili which was decent. This is not a place you seek out to dine at but given your choices at Roundtop it's not the worst. read more

Location was very nice, quaint idea. Food was, eh, waitstaff seemed too busy for a light Monday evening crowd. Wouldn't make the extra effort to go again as there has to be somewhere cheaper to dine and drink (beers were VERY expensive) to hang out, relax and unwind. read more

We've eaten there once, and will not eat there again. We went there on Saturday to watch the Ravens-Steelers playoff game after skiing. We sat down about 10 minutes before kickoff and found a table with a good view of the television. The television had not yet been set to the channel that the game was to be on yet, so we asked our waiter if they intended to turn it on. He said that they "probably" would, but maybe not, because they didn't want people hanging around too long and taking up tables. We were shocked and put off at his response. I honestly thought he was joking at first, until he elaborated. We seriously considered getting up and leaving, but the game was about to start, so we knew if we left and had to find somewhere else to eat, we would have missed some of it. They turned on the game, as we expected. If they hadn't, there probably would have been a riot seeing as half of the people in the place were either wearing Ravens or Steelers colors. For the entire meal, we were rushed by our waiter - aggressively asking us if we were ready to order dinner immediately after taking our appetizer order, taking plates off of the table and only asking "oh, were you done with this" as he was walking away, etc. He also brought the check before we asked for it, and when we all still had full drinks. It should be worth noting that we were not just sitting there and not ordering. We ordered multiple rounds of appetizers, several rounds of drinks, dinner, and even coffee. I would consider this to be poor service anywhere, but especially for a place that represents itself as a "Pub". Pubs are places where people go to hang out for a while and watch sporting events. If Fireside wants to be a fast food restaurant, they should represent themselves as one. read more

This place is the place you want to eat at if you are in the round-top resort. The food was good, and the service was quick. We had a large group of people. The lady who served and took our orders; Catina was beyond amazing. She took care of such a large crowd so easily. She was so patient, polite and made us feel welcomed. Excellent service! read more

They sell wings in sixes and twelves but don't ask them to do two sauces on the twelve they want to charge you $6 extra because the manager has no backbone to tell his chef how to make the customer happy. read more

Way over priced food and beer. My meal was cold and all they had to do was microwave it. The bar staff is less then friendly and it take forever to get any service. Eat anywhere else. Take your own food and beer & enjoy youself. read more

Ordered the $12 nachos. No doubt the worst ever. No ground beef, 5 beans, salsa and sour cream. What a waste of money.
