TL;DR: Extremely professional and talented crew. Finished my flooring project ahead of schedule and exactly on budget. I contracted Anthony to help me put down new flooring in my first home purchase. We needed new carpet in the master bedroom, wanted to re-purpose carpet for some of the guest bedrooms, had new hardwood put down in the living, dining, and kitchen areas of the house, as well as new tile in the master bath. While Fires Flooring is based out of Petaluma, he came to Concord PERSONALLY to do the measurements and discuss prices and materials; he actually made it a point of being on site for the majority of the project. While his team did an amazing job, it was great to know that he was there to over see their efforts and put in some of the labor himself. I was purchased the hardwood and tile independently, but he helped guide me through the purchase process, ensuring we had all the right quantities and materials (trimming, etc). I was pleased to see that he had guided me to JUST the right amounts. Some materials left over in case any touch ups needed to be done, but no excessive waste (or waste of money!). I let Anthony pick out the color and style carpet for the master, and he did an excellent job. Very pleased. As I mentioned at the beginning, Anthony and his team actually finished a day AHEAD of schedule. I can't tell you how refreshing that was. Helped us get a jump start on our moving in! I can't recommend Anthony and his team enough. Anthony installed our engineered wood floors and carpet almost a year ago. I am finally writing a much deserved and long over due review! Anthony was incredible and professional throughout the whole process. He was responsive when our realtor first reached out and patient with me while I picked out the wood floors and carpet. He helped me navigate through the overwhelming choices and guided me from making selections I would most likely regret (e.g- floors with a light purple tint and rough organic wood!). His professionalism extended beyond just his job of installing floors like when he helped to smooth over a disagreement between a contractor and painter while we were at work! We knew things would be handled if he was there! We gave him a tight schedule to demo the old floors and install the new stuff before we moved in. He delivered! Anthony saved my sanity! I had to have The Home Depot installer install the floor (because they were replacing a floor they installed poorly 2 years ago) but the living and dining rooms were so unlevel that the HD floor inspector stopped all work until I could get someone to level it. Not only did Anthony level the floor he came out on a Sunday morning to fix some spots the flooring inspector didn't pass! I was so impressed that he would do the job even though he wasn't laying the floor. By the end of his work I was Ready to have him do the install if I couldnt make it work with HD. I am having a difficult time expressing in words just how amazing Anthony & his team are. Not only did Anthony allow us to buy flooring at a competitor store, but he even went to said store to make sure we were purchasing a quality product. They made a separate trip out for the baseboards so we could paint them prior to installing them. When our transitions came in (2 weeks after initial install) wrong, he explained what exactly to say to get them ordered correctly and even offered to call himself. Then when the correct transitions came in he offered to come Thanksgiving morning, Thanksgiving Morning!, to install them so my family didn't see the house incomplete. The installation was so smooth. Anthony and his team were not only respectful, clean and neat themselves, but they cleaned up better than any of the other crew we had during our construction project. He hung our laundry room doors correctly for us, something out other crew didn't do. I have already given out several of Fires Flooring business cards to friends. Fires Flooring did an amazing job on my floors. I wanted laminate at first to boost my house up but got quoted from a couple places and found that Anthony was the most honest and forthright in pricing and the job overall. He quoted me a price for hardwood and laminate and walked me through the pricing for the entire job and got me a great deal on the materials from a local flooring company. I ended up going with hardwood due to my stairs and I say again the pricing was just unbelievable and the service from him was outstanding.
