Multiple smashed windows on fitting initially, dents on the sill, wrong sill fitted, wrong colour of sill, faded hinges, screeching hinges and scratches/roller marks repeatedly on replacement windows. Endless days off and now still supplying chipped and scratched windows with roller marks. Endless delays and multiple excuses. No compensation for all the time off. Will escalate to trading standards if not resolved this month. Team refusing to escalate to director. I would have thought they wanted to avoid a public internet display of their failing standards when he could easily be tweeted? Bizarre way to run a company. Highly suggest avoiding.

We had composite doors fitted on 21st November 2016 and have had nothing but problems. Three days…read moreafter fitting, both doors had to be readjusted as they were out of alignment and were extremely difficult to lock. One of the doors was cracked and we had to wait for another fitting date. Back door is acceptable but the front is another story. Four months later Camden group (manufacturer) visited for an inspection and confirmed door was indeed badly fitted (door frame bowed, unable to lock without extreme force, door badly marked due to hitting locking mechanisms, waterproof seals ripped). The manufacturer also removed a security lock to allow the door to lock securely! Now, after a flurry of snow we have water ingress around several of the door windows. An absolute disgrace for a door which cost £1350. This is bad enough but their customer service is appalling with complete reluctance to address these issues. Five months since installation and still no resolution so it looks like trading standards and potential court case for us. Avoid at all costs people. #complaint #customerservice #watchdog #roguetraders

No one came to help me in the five minutes or so I stood looking trying to work out what was what in terms of makes and pricing. During this time a man came into the shop, clearly a friend of one of the men inside the counter. They started speaking in very animated voices, swearing and chatting in a manner I did not think was very good for other customers. When I asked for help, one of the men came over and seemed very bored by my queries. When he said that he couldn't get a certain worktop for two weeks I said I would need it sooner and he looked at me like I was completely daft. He did not offer further help or make any suggestions. It would appear that Rearo do not read their reviews as the user in 2010 was treated in the same way. B & Q are really much nicer, more respectful to their customers and although a big store I am definitely choosing it in the future. I would also say to women that PLEASE do not use this store. Two men came in in the time I was there and were helped straight away.

As paint shops go, this is a great paint shop. If you're looking for fancy pants paint (or probably…read moreany sort of paint really), it is worth going in here before you go to any of the big DIY stores. It mostly seems set up for trade, but obviously general punters can go in too. The day we were there, as we were leaving, the chap had just pulled down the shutters and was standing outside in the street when a girl came running up, and looked devastated that he was closing. He asked her what she was looking for, and when she answered 'white emulsion' the guy said OK, give me a minute, and went back inside to get some for her. How nice is that! We went in to look for Farrow & Ball testers (I know, proper fancy pants paint!) and had a good chat with the man about paint quality and colours and such. But what pleases me most about this place and the guy who runs it, is that the shop used to be located on Old Dumbarton Road, in a unit that has now been converted into a residential flat, and is the flat that I actually live in! So we had a very interesting chat about how our flat used to look - the counter was in the living room where our couch is, the paint samples were were the telly is, and the mixing area was where the kitchen now is. I realise that this means absolutely hee-haw to anyone other than me, and is therefore completely useless information to put in a review, but I guess my point is that South West Paints is a proper local shop with a long history in the area, and I think it's worth supporting that sort of business.

I've always loved walking around DIY home stores and this one gives me no less joy! When you walk in, now that it's close to summer time, they have all their out door furniture and grills on display. This sends my mind in to over drive dreaming of all the outdoor BBQ's my guy and I will have this summer once we buy a new BBQ. We have spent many moments in the light bulb isle which is right next to the summer display as there are so many different types of bulbs out there now days. Our most recent trip, we were looking for paint colours to give to the builders who have been occupying and will be occupying our living spaces for another week or so. What fun picking out paints is. So many to choose from and so many different price ranges, there really is an option for even the most budget savvy. I could spend hours in this shop, but this recent trip we were in and out with our choices of colours and I think we were quite happy about it. The staff here are super friendly and there's always someone around the corner waiting to help. I love this store.
