Bellevue and Sandusky Animal Hospitals - Dr. Rizzo is just wonderful. He was my hero today. All the staff at Sandusky and Bellevue animal hospitals are awesome.

No idea why a client would fault this amazing vet for a banking issue that isn't the fault of a…read morevet. It's 2019, don't write checks, there's many reasons not to. Anyway, this vet is absolutely amazing. They took care of my fur kids from shortly after adoption until their last day. They were phenomenal every step of the way. From general care and health concerns, to boarding, to their final moments. This vet is dignified in every way. Never once was I pressured or influenced to make a decision I didn't want to. They are very thorough. My only advice for the vet, and other vets, is have a happy and a sad entrance. When one has to decide to put their pet down, it would be nice for all to be able to go out a different corridor to avoid the looks, the questions, and the stares. My only advice to clients, when you have your pet put down, take it to the crematorium yourself. Don't rely on the pick ups if you respect your pet. This vet is partnered with Groff and they are incredible. Do your loved one right by having them immediately cremated and not bagged and frozen, held, and mass transported. Things happen. Thank you for all you did for my sweet Angus and Kona.

She means the world to me and I was so happy with the job Dr. Rizzo did. She was not wanting to eat hard treats and he found 3 bad teeth he extracted. She's like a new dog;) I took my bunnies there a year or so ago for neutering and they were shown the same good care. The nurses and staff are patient with the critters and their owners. Both times I left with pain meds for the dog and rabbits. This vet office really cares and it shows.

I took my dog in for a first time visit for a nail problem. Did not have a difficult time finding…read morethe location. Was greeted by a friendly receptionist. We went into a room to wait for the vet. Unfortunately, the wait ended up being 30 minutes due to the prior patient, which I can understand. Things happen. My main concern is how does the vet interact with me and my dog? And she did a wonderful job! My poor baby had to have his nail 'yanked' off from the quick since it had separated and it was just hanging there. She had an assistant hold him and did it quickly. Afterwards she discussed antibiotics and possible complications. She also listened to my concerns and answered my questions with no apparent rush. Prices are also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this clinic. Oh, keep in mind there is a bird cage in the waiting room and a bell that rings every time the door opens. If you have a dog that barks at birds in cages and a bell that rings every time someone goes in and out, they might ask if you want to wait in a room.if one is available. That's what they did for me!

I do not understand how a profession built around caring for animals can justify refusing care to a…read morevisibly uncomfortable puppy. Multiple practices--including this one--turned us away simply because they were not accepting new patients, without regard to the animal's condition. Searching for a vet was very similar to the health care conditions in our country and a real eye opener. It's hard to reconcile that reality with the purpose of veterinary medicine. If helping animals is the reason for the work, outright refusal of care--especially for a young puppy--is difficult to understand and disappointing. I rated this location with 1star because of the information previously stated.
