We ordered online and had a disappointing experience. About 15 minutes after placing the order, I called the store to ask how I'd know when it was ready. The employee on the phone wasn't very helpful and said you just come in after about 15 minutes and hope it's ready. When I arrived to pick up the food, the drink machine had no ice and the Cherry Limeaid (their signature drink) was out. Once we got home, we noticed that 2 of the 3 sandwiches were supposed to have onions but didn't--so we're assuming they were out, though no one mentioned it. Hey Travis, I feel your two employees working today deserve a raise for sure or another person working to help out with their stacked online orders. As we walked into the restaurant that only had two other people waiting to order the young lady working was extremely polite and prompt to inform us it may be a bit of a wait. We aren't doing anything crazy today and super craving our favorite sandwich the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket, so we are definitely willing to wait the 20-30 mins for our food. While waiting here we observed the two employees busting butt to manage the stack of online orders and the amount of customers that started pouring in wanting to order. Both employees stayed calm and professional keeping customers informed of how slammed they are. The restaurant itself is extremely clean, noise level is what you'd expect, and they had golf playing on the tv to keep customers entertained while they waited. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Firehouse Subs location. What appeared to be the "manager," named Travis, was very loud and unprofessional throughout my visit. He was constantly calling his teenage employees over to show them videos or tiktoks on his phone, while several customers -- including myself and about seven others -- were waiting for our orders. It was uncomfortable to watch the young employees try to stay focused while their supposed leader was being so distracting. I genuinely felt bad for them if that's the kind of example they're being shown in one of their first jobs. On top of that, Travis did not look the part of a manager -- his uniform was messy and sloppy, and he seemed to have little concern for the waiting customers or the image of the restaurant. His behavior was loud, obnoxious, and completely inappropriate for someone in a leadership role. If this is the standard of management being allowed, it's going to drive people away from this location. I truly hope corporate addresses this before it becomes a reputation problem for the brand. read more

Placed a mobile order via Grubhub. The initial confirmation email said the expected wait was 15-35 mins. After the email there was no further contact from Firehouse subs or Grubhub. After 30 minutes we called, and they said the order had been ready for some time. I should have known to turn around as soon as I saw the overflowing trashcan in the middle of the food prep area, but my wife was really excited to get a hot sandwich. We ordered two medium sandwiches and then watched the three teens inside proceed to play catch with a wad of tape for 5 or so minutes. When we finally got our sandwiches they were cold. I didn't want to eat a cold cheesesteak. I'm absolutely baffled at how awful an experience this was. I may as well have taken my $20 bill and threw it in the gutter. If you're planning on eating in the restaurant, the ambience is of loose chairs and crumbs all over tables. Why wipe down tables when you can just joke around with your friends at work? There's something special about these sandwiches that always makes me want to come back again and again. Is it the service? Maybe-every time I go in here, I'm greeted "welcome to firehouse" and the employees make eye contact and smile. That goes a long way. Is it the quick ordering and turnaround of getting my meal? Perhaps-I don't have to wait long before my sandwich-made to my liking-is ready. Or is it the sandwich itself? We find ourselves going back here because the food is so fresh, delicious, and you can choose to make it healthier or more calories. Came in to pick up an online order at 6:45pm on 2/2/23. Several customers in the store and only 1 male employee working. The one young man working was making all the sandwiches. Another taller young man was standing at the register. There were three female employees, standing around drinking Swig, talking loudly with each other. Then they started running around, hiding in the bathrooms, yelling through the doors and banging on the bathroom doors. It looked as though one girl had taken another girl's phone. It seemed pretty wild that several people were waiting for their orders and these girls didn't have a care about the customers at all. It was pretty off putting. None of them had name tags on, but the only kid actually working asked "Evelyn" if he could take his break. This location is a complete mess. They have no idea what they're doing when it comes to taking orders over the phone/web/in person. No one was paying attention to the web orders that came in, so when they were taking walk up orders, those people were put at the head of the line. When they realized they had a long line of orders that came in, they freaked out and told everyone it was an extra 15 minutes because of an influx of orders. The menu is really easy to read, and the pictures help out a bunch. They have good options for kids, and mine mixing up a crazy drink at the soda dispenser.
