What you'll get at Firehouse subs for $12
Shane K.

I feel like I'd be giving a disservice if I didn't show what these subs actually look like. No bigger than a hot dog, and cost $12.14. Just trying to help someone make their own decision before visiting. That's all.

4 pieces of meat
Suzanne S.

I had an Italian sub. It has 5 pieces of meat on it. Never seen such a sad looking sandwich. Will stick with subway.

I order two separate subs for delivery, first sub had all the items I asked to not be on the sub... I call to let them know and order another sub via delivery and AGAIN ITS WRONG and has half ham half Turkey....

This is what they do to me every week I asked for a large they gave me a medium I complain then they give me a smaller sandwich instead

A MUST-VISIT PIZZA JOINT!…read more What an absolute gem! This place has it ALL! The pizza is fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service makes you feel right at home. The full bar is a great bonus, and the clean bathrooms show they take pride in every part of their establishment. Everything is well-maintained, the vibe is great, and it's the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. Whether you're stopping in for a delicious pizza, grabbing a drink at the bar, or enjoying a night out with friends and family, this place checks all the boxes! Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and an all-around great joint! Mouse was our server she was amazing, when you go in, tell her you saw this review. Morgan, Thomas, Alex, Murphy and Andy was the staff working today. Alex was the pizza dough thrower, that's something to see. Highly recommend! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the service--it was fine, and we had no complaints there. We ordered the Marky-Marg pizza, and the pizza itself was really good. The toppings, sauce, and flavor were all enjoyable. Unfortunately, the crust was extremely burnt around the edges. It was so overcooked that neither of us could eat it, which was disappointing since a good crust is part of what makes a great pizza. The pizza had a lot of potential, and if the crust hadn't been so burnt, it would have been a much better experience. We'd be willing to give it another try in the future and hope it was just an off day.

Holy sandwiches!!! I can't believe it took me this long to check out Carmine Lornard's. I brought…read moremy Italian dad and mom for sandwiches at noon for lunch. Coming from an Italian family, I am well versed in Italian sandwiches. Carmine Lornardo's the real deal! We ordered the 24" Carmine Italian. Every bite was as good as the last. My dad struck up a conversation with Carmine, who was working behind the counter as he does every day, just as his dad (according to him). We sat down at one of the 4 tables to enjoy our sandwich which was pre split for us. As we were finishing up and the lunch crowd was slowing a bit but was still steady, when Carmine stopped at our table to chat with my dad. He told us an amazing story of how their sausage and pepper sandwich was featured in Food & Wine magazine and how he found Put about it. A true Italian man living in his owned world, he was not familiar with the magazine. But that put them on the food seen. He then brought my dad his famous sausage and pepper sandwich, on the house! We came back later that week and ordered pasta with sausage and sauce for dinner which he provided as part of their dinner to go series. If I lived closer, I would never be cooking, I would just be at Carmine's for lunch and dinner! Don't sleep on this authentic Italian restaurant with old world charm.

Initial first impression was excellent. Walking straight into a meat deli before getting to order…read moreyour sandwich sets up the expectation for a serious sandwich. We were on our way up to red rock and wanted to grab some lunch for the tailgate. We ordered the French dip and the special #5 cutlet sandwich as well as Mac salad and black and white cookie. The sandwiches are expensive but big. The French dip was $13.99 and the special was $18.99 for an 8in. Our meal ended up being around $60 for two sandwiches, a Mac salad, chips and two pastries. The mac salad was very good and tasty but the sandwiches were a total disappointment. The French dip lacked ANY flavor even a bit of salt would've gone a long way. When we dipped it in the au jus, it still lacked any flavor. We ended up only taking a few bites then tossing it and moving onto the #5. Both sandwiches were incredibly soggy and we maybe ate them 20 minutes after getting them. Taste was decent with the cutlet sandwich but oh my heartburn. We both had heartburn the entire duration of the concert. Just a disappointing experience after spending so much money.

Based on the other reviews, recommending a hot sandwich or panini instead of the cold sandwich…read more described as dry and boring for the price--I think I coulda offered more stars had I gone that route. The staff was super nice and efficient but the sandwich was meh At the time I arrived they were already putting the chairs away because they were closing in a few, so I made a rushed decision: The Aspen Buddha (Turkey Swiss Curry Aioli Sunflower Seeds Lettuce Tomatoes Sprouts Banana Peppers Cucumbers). In my mind I was making a "healthy choice" but in reality I felt like I was about to eat a loaf of bread. I thought it seemed silly to pay only $2 less for a half a sandwich so I ordered the whole but then shamefully threw away most of the bread and ate only the innards which were also pretty boring. Even though I'm trying to keep my carb intake in check--I'm fully capable of for example enjoying a whole loaf of challah in one sitting if inspired but this wheat loaf did not inspire those kind of urges. As for the rest of the sandwich, it could have really used more curry aioli or something because I don't think I tasted that at all. If was ever forced to eat this same sandwich again I might ask for a side of vinaigrette, giardiniera, avocado. Something. The people were right: this was a dry sandwich. The reason I was even in Golden is because I wanted to test the feasibility of taking the W line to the Golden government center that is 2 miles from downtown and then riding my bike to have a picnic by Clear Creek. Turns out that yes, this is great with the understanding that the bike ride back to the light rail is way more intense when heading back to Denver. All uphill on my single speed! Without the Aspen Buddha, since it was 95 degrees or so I might have died had I not eaten/rehydrated. I am thankful for that. Also thankful for the life lesson about bringing my own picnic so I only have myself to complain to next time.
