I love this Firehouse location! Super friendly employees and they make amazing sandwiches. They really pile on the meat and toppings here. While it seems that many restaurants are shrinking serving sizes that is definitely not true here at Firehouse Subs. The sandwiches are piled high with delicious meat, cheeses, and vegetables. The hot veggie on wheat is my favorite. Fresh bread, melty cheese, and loads of sautéed vegetables including tasty mushrooms. The restaurant is very clean. One of my favorite lunch spots when I am in Evansville. read more

Firstly, I tried to call and see what time our order would be ready. The app does not show time zones and it doesn't order with their time zone. Was placed on hold and never got to talk to an employee about the situation. I got the Hero that has roast beef, Turkey and ham with provolone. It didn't have any roast beef and there was hardly any meat, the Turkey was also super sweet. Will not be returning. read more

Stopped in here for lunch at 11:30 on a Monday. Was greeted with "we will be with you in a bit" at the counter...not the usual "Welcome to Firehouse". I ordered an Italian with no onion with a combo. The ice in the drink machine was broken and I finally got my sandwich 10 minutes later.....with no onion but also no tomato or lettuce!!! I have been to several Firehouse Sub locations and this was an extreme disappointment!!! read more

This was the first time I had eaten at a firehouse sub shop. I was just very not impressed with the sandwich it was small it had very little meat very little cheese. It was a medium I still thought it was small for medium. Also when I went in I told them it was the first time that I had eaten at a firehouse. Not being able to see them make my sandwich I did not know there were add-ons until after I ordered my sandwich and sat down when I saw the cardboard spindle with the add-ons at the cash register. The people that work there were extremely nice very polite, That was not the issue at all. Not sure if I'll give Frs house another chance or not. I do think Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's is definitely better. It's probably just me I don't know thank you for listening. read more

The very best subs in town. Always fresh and not skimpy on meats. Service is quick, or you can order online for a faster option. There is nothing we've tried that we haven't loved. Worth the price, compared to Subway and Jimmy Johns. Actually there's no comparison. Wish the location was on Burkhart instead of Green River, my only complaint. read more

I've been coming here since being in town for a project over the past couple of months, and every time has been great except today. Mac and cheese served cold, the sandwich was still partially cold, and the bread wasn't great, either. Every other sandwich I've had here was fantastic, so it may be a Sunday outlier, but still. Just because it's Sunday, bring your A game ALL THE TIME. You're a franchise (like everything else in Indiana), so it's not hard. read more

Visited this location for lunch twice. Once a corporate manager or something similar was there, everything was five stars. My second visit was just a few younger employees, order came out wrong but still tasted good. Sub was a little over toasted and crumbly, overall though tasted great. Met up with an old colleague in Evansville and he suggested Firehouse. I had never heard of them before today so I said let's try it out. Wow! Service is friendly and quick! I had the smokehouse brisket, delicious! Awesome flavor and toasted perfect! My friend had the meatball since it is guaranteed to be the best. He said it was fantastic as well. This was my first time and the atmosphere and employees were all nice. My turkey sub was pure and simple - a nice change from the loaded/overdone sandwiches from other shops. Most of all I like that the company gives back to local community Fire Departments, Police, and EMS. PS: the firefighter I was with got a discount! read more

I've been to Firehouse Subs several times and have never had a bad experience. The service is friendly, quick, and the food has been great. We are vegetarian and their Veggie Sub outshines other sandwich shops by far. I like the link with local fire departments and the city in which each store is located; the murals are fun and a great addition to the decor. read more
