This is the combo I ordered but got charged $4.69! Then when I showed them the sign they said no that's not right.

False advertising- combo meal charges do not match advertised combo added prices. One combo is $2.99, others are a buck or $0.50. But when I asked for the cup of chili and drink combo advertised for a buck the charge was $4.69! The lead behind the counter insisted the sign wasn't the whole story and he didn't explain how the math worked, but he did use a very LOT of words to say some convoluted things about how the charges were right and the sign was only about part of the story. Fresh ingredients and a clean environment are offset by a lack of care what their word or their advertising means, and a lack of care how their customers feel after the bait and switch of a combo advertised LITERALLY for "+1.00" but the charge is $4.69. Not great training about how to handle pricing misunderstandings or disgruntled customers by owners, or franchise holders, creating a bad vibe (overcharging and unc for what could be a successful place. Otherwise a great sub shop with fresh and tasty ingredients.

Hook and Ladder, loaded potato soup.

First time here. I had a Hook and Ladder, and loaded potato soup. The soup was hot, and I added the supplied oyster crackers. Although it only had 2 chunks of potato, the soup was good. The Hook and ladder was turkey and ham, with melted cheese. My first 2 bits were just lettuce and dressing. The meat was quite lacking on this one. Not sure I saw or tasted any cheese. I did ask for no pickle, but got one anyway. (I LOVE pickles, they don't love me.) It was $8, so not Abad value for a lunch.

all of their hot sauces to try... they wouldn't even fit in the picture!

TL;DR - Solid deli, decent food, and a collegiate atmosphere to tie everything together. Honestly, the place is a 3.5 locale, but the food was really good and the portions were massive. The deli is more than it appears from the outside - part deli, part candy store, part convenience store, and all very welcoming I enjoyed looking around the store as I waited on my food. What m wife and I ordered were the 12" Chicken Philly (me), and the #7 off their board consisting of ham and some other meats I can't recall at the moment, a 12" as well. These appeared as massive, bulging subs filled with everything we asked for. No complaints there. Service was a bit wonky - my sub came out almost immediately, but my wife's order took a strangely long time to make. Not sure as it was one of their run-of-the-mill sandwiches, but it did come out and they were apologetic about the wait. For dessert they have offerings out of a cooler - my wife had a raspberry pie of sorts while I had a Boston Cream Cake. They were fresh and good. In the end, we were both pleased as we had a hankering for subs and we wanted to go local and not big box - the place did not disappoint.

Well I decided to come back to the scene of the crime as I'll be leaving Indiana, PA. I gave them a…read moresecond chance to provide a quality chicken salad sandwich on an 8 inch roll. The chicken salad had a sweet taste which was odd. The roll was crunchy but not crunchy from being toasted. Mind you I did not request for it to be toasted. Yet again the amount of chicken salad in the roll was minimal. My wife had an egg salad sandwich on a pretzel bun which looked delicious visually. She stated that her egg salad had a sweet taste as well and the portion size of egg salad was minimal.
