Because it's Sunday, I didn't expect anyone to get back to me until Monday. Less than 30 minutes after requesting the quote through Yelp, my phone rang. I almost didn't pick up because it was a number I didn't recognize. To my surprise, it was Tyler from Blue Star replying to my quote request. He told me he was available to stop by in person the next day (Monday). I was impressed already. Had it not been for a miscommunication with family who already scheduled the gardener to deal with the trees, I would have been very happy to get Tyler's advice and quote. Although I cannot speak to the actual work this time, I will definitely keep Tyler's info for next time because of his speedy response on a Sunday, and for getting an in-person consult scheduled so quickly.

When it was done, a stake was already broken by the I was able to check it at the property 5 days later. The thin metal pole also looked damaged in the middle, as if it was bent, then straightened back out. He returned 12 days later after apologizing for forgetting about coming to fix it and put a new stake in the ground. 5 months later, the thin plastic rope used for tensioning it has completely frayed and fallen apart in several places. It is effectively useless now unless I pay a service fee for him to fix it again. I was charged $260 for this service ($350 total with pruning) which seems high for the low quality work done. I was never given a price for what a service fee would cost me. Attached is a photo of the service. The stiff rope is just held in place on its own at the top. It is completely torn, no tension between the rope/pole support and tree Edit: Tyler reached out and kindly offered to redo the training.
