Five Star Catering is INCREDIBLE!!…read more I am not one to leave reviews (I think this is my first ever haha... but I had to this time!) I cannot sing the praises of Five Star Catering enough! From start to finish of the wedding planning process they excelled in communicating, understanding our vision, working with our budget, and making us feel so taken care of. The wedding day could not have gone more smoothly. The appetizers were gorgeous and our guests raved about them, the drinks from the bar were so creatively done and the hard huckleberry lemonade they helped us to create as one of our signature drinks was a HUGE hit with the guests! The wedding feast was absolutely delicious. My husband and I were so impressed by the presentations and especially taste of the food. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD. Five Star Catering's wedding food is not your typical "wedding food." We all felt like we went out to a five star restaurant and guests were non stop talking about how tasty all of the food was. The service staff was just wonderful. They were all so kind and professional! Every glass of wine was full, plates were cleared quickly, they switched to coffee and desserts seamlessly, they didn't miss a beat. It was wonderful. And the late night nacho bar was so darn good!! Us and our friends and family were so well taken care of all night. We did not have to worry about a thing on the night of our wedding thanks to Five Star Catering. The side dishes and sauces were beautifully displayed on a table to the side of where they set up with all the fixings and various spice levels of salsas (mild verde, medium creamy orange sauce, and hot red salsa - all delicious). There was a ridiculously large amount of rice and beans as well. Tortillas were freshly warmed on the griddle before they assembled each taco for our guests, which made for a delicious taco meal. Communication was consistently prompt, clear, and friendly all across the board from emails with booking details to calls for morning-of arrival and setup. That crew is on top of their game. The set up was great, the service was fantastic, and the food was really delicious. We had lots of leftover food and they packed it all neatly and efficiently. I didn't have to worry about containers for them - they did it all. A thousand thank-you to AnaLesia for the most excellent communication, and Frankie and Sofia for flawless and the absolute friendliest day-of service. My guests were so happy and so was I!

I ordered a street taco with pollo because the photos looked so good! And I got the large nachos with birria (shredded beef in stew) with everything on it. (There were only these two meats available, so I wanted to try them both.) The order came out in roughly 15 minutes, which was good. The size of the items were okay, but surprisingly the meats were not very warm. The taco looked bland, but it tasted good with the cilantro and diced onions. The nachos, on the other hand, was underwhelming -- mainly because it sat underneath a mountain of what looked and tasted like Velveeta cheese. The squeezed dollop of sour cream didn't make it look more appealing. I think the tacos and platters are the way to go.
