I was told about Chiropractic Center of Benicia by a friend but cautioned that it would not be what I was expecting. When asked what he meant he said, "She just does things differently. You have to go to understand". I went because of the friends recommendation and have been pleasantly surprised at how effective Dr Kerry has been in getting me back to "normal". I had a bad case of sciatica that included numbness and sharp pain with pain medication being the solution for my Kaiser Doctor. Pain medication did not work and just made me tired so I was seeking something else. Dr Kerry looked up the medication I was taking and asked if it was working. I told her "no" and she said, "Well, the first side affect is death so maybe you should stop taking it if it's not working." I took her advice and after about 4-5 appointments with Dr Kerry I was almost good as new. I continue to see her and each time I go it's a great experience. Pain is gone for the most part and each month I return for a tune up. The receptionist Sharon's so kind and helpful too. There is something special about this office and so real about Sharon and Dr. Kerry. They both truly care about there patients and treat you like a family member. So how is it different than other cracking and manipulation chiropractors you may ask. Well, Dr Kerry has a background in massage therapy and she uses some tools, rolling massage tables...I don't know but it works. So, if you are looking for an adjustment and are not afraid of giving a different style a try, I'd highly recommend Dr Kerry. Give Sharon a call and book that appointment. You will be glad you did.

She was simultaneously treating three patients at the same time, which immediately made me uncomfortable. It felt like I was part of an assembly line rather than an actual patient receiving care. I kept wondering whether I should wait my turn to be focused on--or if anyone was actually focused at all. The "treatment" consisted of about 2 minutes with a laser and 7 minutes of shock therapy, followed by a very brief and surface-level conversation about why I was there. There was zero effort to get to know me, my concerns, my history, or my goals. No questions, no engagement, no real assessment. My copay was $5, and honestly, the level of care reflected exactly that. It felt cheap, rushed, and impersonal--like minimal effort for minimal cost. I left feeling unimportant, rushed, and unheard. The whole place felt like a drive-thru chiropractic service--get them in, plug them into a machine, get them out. If you're looking for personalized care, attention, or a provider who actually takes the time to focus on you, this is not the place. Do not recommend.

Four or five different people quickly slip in and out of my exam room to touch me/ provide services during each 10 minute appointment. Needless to say, it is a revolving door of strangers. I don't know if any of them have read my chart or know my body's needs. I don't know any of them well enough to know who to ask for. I learned that each provider who touches some part of my service during the appointment can charge insurance for more services. That's the only reason I can think of why they would provide such unprofessional, impersonal, and awkward service. I tried to stay with them for three or four appointments because they take my insurance. Ultimately, I decided it wasn't worth the potential harm to my body to continue being seen.

Of those, one tried to rip me off and the other (The Joint) offers quick fixes. After seeing Dr Chow, I now understand what I should expect from a chiropractic professional. On my first visit, he spend a good 30 mins asking questions on my activities. He also spend time on how I go by stretching and what I do now for pain management. He made suggestions on what I can do, showed me different stretches I can do, even took pictures of me doing the stretches so I can remember them. After all that, he adjusted me. I found Dr Chow to be caring and a true professional.

When I called back today again, they told me they still wouldn't see me because I'm a "new patient" even after confirming I'd been there last year....which means my visit would be $125 instead of $65. I am in pain and trying to give them my money and that's just not enough for them I guess. This is the only chiropractor I've seen in my entire life, and they have charged me twice with a new patient fee and tried to do it again today. Apparently, they will charge you a new patient fee every six months you're not seen, which they have never told me anytime I've ever been in for an adjustment so be prepared to pay more for a visit every 6 months....such a scam.

They do not correspond, in any way, to the words, printed, on the sheet of paper in front of me. He tells me that there are risks in having chiropractic treatments, giving really, strange detailed examples, including broken bones, & death from a punctured artery. Then he starts in on how many people die from regular medical treatments, (and this is when I started to get really creeped out...) Brains exploding, descriptions of blood and gore....Me: "I need to stop you there, is this really necessary?" Him: "Yes it's required for me to tell you this" I say, really? all that you just said, is required by law, to be told to the patient? Can't you just tell me, "x amount of people die from bad medical treatments", etc... He said he needed to give examples. Me: "This is making me uncomfortable and I am leaving". He didn't really seem that suprised. Something is very off with his bedside manner. Nope, I would not want this person to touch me.
