I have taken 2 training classes with Paul and Louis in the past 2 months - Tactical Pistol 1 & 2. Both classes far exceeded my expectations. My prior shooting experience was at a static range that has restrictions on what is allowed (e.g. cannot draw from a holster). This is an outdoor range where I learned how to draw from a holster, shoot on the move, handle jams and misfires, reload and shoot from cover and many other firsts for me - all in a safe training environment. I am very happy to have found Paul & Louis - both bring a wealth of knowledge and real world tactical and self-defense experience. I will be signing up for more training to learn how to handle moving targets and more in-depth self-defense situations. This guy needs more feedback. I think his guests are too busy smiling and training. Fair reviewer here and hard to please. Found Paul at the gun show at Dulles Expo Center. Was a bit skeptic at first because you never know who is actually training you. His main instructor is the real deal former top level operator. Even the same class taken twice is different. Instructor tailors to the needs/level of the class members. I'm a decent shooter but haven't done any real training drawing from holsters and shooting on the move. Intermediate pistol was great. You get 4 hours (about 3 hours of drills) for only $200. The only slight negative for me was it was out past Winchester but he will meet you at a local Walmart and show you the way. Super nice guy and very communicative. If it was closer I would take a class every weekend. read more

My daughter wanted to learn to shoot. Her and I worked with Paul on gun safety and shooting. As an experienced shooter, Paul still supplied information I did not know. Paul worked closely with my daughter and provided her with enough confidence on the range. Once at the range, Paul continued to work with both of us on stance, grip, and aim. I took his Intro to Handguns course (1/2 classroom 1/2 range time). It was a great course, definitely worth the money. Paul is friendly and a great instructor. Goes through the basics in the classroom to help you get comfortable handling a handgun and then you put it to practice in the range through repetition. Paul is a very patient and understanding instructor. I'm very afraid of loud noises and paranoid about hearing damage. Paul took the time to reserve a private range for me (which wasn't easy). I paid for a private beginner's class and the range time, and then I got cold feet and decided to cancel everything one week prior. Paul was VERY understanding and told me how he intended to start with a less noisy firearm and move up from there only if I was OK with that. I still decided to cancel the lesson, but all of my interactions with him and his assistant were extremely pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! Also, there's not a hint of that "rah rah" ex-marine machismo you get with a lot of firearms instructors. That's really off-putting for me which is why I selected Paul in the first place. read more
