I took the Defensive Pistol training course with Mike and Dave yesterday afternoon. It was a…read morefantastic course and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that plans to carry a concealed firearm. Perhaps you are new to carrying a concealed firearm. We were all there at one point. But if you are ever presented with a potentially harmful situation, do you know how to train your mind and body to assess and react? You may think you will have time to rack a slide and/or release a safety mechanism, but most life threatening situations happen very quickly. The foundation for this course is safe and repetitive gun handling skills followed by hands on range time. Don't get me wrong, you'll still need to keep up with training and practicing but this course definitely teaches you the responsibility and implications of carrying a firearm as well as the confidence to do so safely. I should also mention that the outdoor range facility is absolutely amazing. Finally, I cannot say enough about the instructors. Mike and Dave's resumes and experience speak for themselves. They are great teachers as well as great people - all while keeping it fun. I cannot thank you enough and I look forward to seeing what you put together for the follow-up course!

I recently completed three Green Ops pistol courses: Advanced Application of Pistol Fundamentals,…read moreDefensive Pistol 1, and Defensive Pistol 2, and they were outstanding. The instructors deliver exceptional training at a very fair value. Every instructor I worked with was extremely competent and clearly brought deep experience from law enforcement, military shooting, and competition backgrounds. Across the three courses I had a mix of returning and new instructors, which meant I benefited from multiple perspectives, different teaching styles, and constant constructive feedback throughout the training. One thing that really stood out was the student-to-instructor ratio, which never exceeded roughly 5-6 students per instructor. That meant everyone received real coaching and corrections instead of just standing on the line burning ammo. The learning environment was excellent. There were no egos among the instructors or students, which is honestly rare in the firearms training world. The instructors were down to earth, approachable, and connected well with the class, which made the training both productive and genuinely enjoyable. Spending full days on the range can be a grind, but these guys made it fun. They also did a great job of accommodating different skill levels without slowing the class down or rushing anyone. The training simply flowed in a way that kept everyone progressing. The facilities were more than adequate for the course material and allowed the instructors to run drills safely and effectively. I've spent 27 years in the military and now work in executive protection, and I've trained with a lot of different instructors and organizations over the years. Green Ops is absolutely among the best. If you're serious about improving your pistol skills, these classes are worth traveling for.

Shout out to Robert the RSO for coming by and chatting, and giving me tips on how to zero my rifle. Didn't catch the name of the guy at the counter, but he was great too. Me and my wife went for the non-member, hourly rate. We probably spent about 3 hours there ($45/hour, per person), but he ended up only charging me for the time, and said my wife didn't have to pay "since she didn't shoot too much" (although she definitely did). Ranges were at 15 yards, 50 yards, 100 yards, and 300 yards (members only for the 300 range). Site had restrooms and water. Don't see how anyone could have a bad time here. RSOs were extremely chill and were always respectful (unlike RSOs at other ranges I've been to). Ranges were very cooperative, unlike anything I've seen at other places. Patrons are largely in control of going hot and cold, as long as every just gives the thumbs up, they're not timed or anything. Will definitely return, and probably look to become a member. They offer veteran discounts on membership too.
