We had very slow service and the restaurant was not very busy. The waitress was nice but definitely not on top of things. I do think she was the only one working that evening. We had the nachos as an appetizer, and they were good. Entrees were the italian beef which was good, and a burger, which was mediocre at best. read more

Went on a week night . The food was pretty good but was not happy that everything was an up charge. Ordered an Italian beef with cheese , I expected to pay extra for the cheese but the side of peppers were extra charge that was way more than expected $3. Also ordered a burger and was asked shoestring fries or waffle and was not told that waffle fries were an up charge . All together we were charged $8 in up charges . The prices were higher than other places in the area and with the up charges made it too expensive for sandwiches. Waitress was very good. We might try again but will definitely read menu more thoroughly. read more

We found this place a couple months ago and have multiple times since then and always have great service and amazing food. Service is always quick and very friendly (especially the bartender.) we've had the blt pizza, Swiss burger, fish boil and all of them have been really good and they give you a lot of food. They have really great cocktails on the menu too :) So happy to have found a place close by that we love! read more

Repeat customers after trying. They are known for their fish boil but we fell in love with the Italian beef! Kid friendly. We've been loyal customers since they opened. The food is great, the service has always been friendly and quick. I am so disappointed that they feel the need to screw customers with their 2.99% "non cash adjustment" that they finally decided to disclose before eating. I know prices are up, but they have raised their prices. Now it's just a cash grab that really makes me angry. Not sure we will be back. read more

If you're going to be so cheap as to pass along your Merchant Services fee to your customers who pay with Credit Cards you could at least put it on your website - so folks know that your policy is 3.99% surcharge passed on to customers who pay with Credit Cards instead of posting it on your door. This place was great! My husband and I were driving by on our way back from Wisconsin and noticed this place was packed with people. We decided to stop to find out what the hype was. Upon entry greeted by hostess. Super cool place, clean and apparently they are known for their fish buffet. My husband ordered a burger and I got the boneless wings. It cane out pretty good. I was also amazed with the wild varieties of barbecue sauces they have. The place is pretty big and has upper deck seating section. Staff was nice. Did not make it to the loo so I cannot comment on it. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Parking lot is small from what I noticed however we found a spot. I definitely recommend this hidden gem as to me it is a must try. read more

I had some of the absolute best Baked French Onion Soup at The Pitt. Crispy cheese with the perfect crouton. It even had a hint of spiciness. The Italian Beef is always top notch and the Ruben is wicked good. Love this place. read more

After searching for a fish boil, we stumbled upon Fire Pitt. The outdoor fire pit is a great way to be invited into the restaurant. Once inside, you get a nice, homey feel. The fish boil is a one price, all you can eat option. You receive your ticket and you go up to a served buffet style area. They load your plate with fish and whatever sides you would like. The food was delicious but quite buttery (they do ask if you would like butter poured over the top so next time I will mention "light"). Overall super friendly staff and very delicious food for a reasonable price. read more

FRIDAY NIGHT FISH BOIL Don't worry you can also get it on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday Night too. We have been dying to try this place and we are so happy we did. My experience with this restaurant started out on the phone. I called and spoke with Shelby and asked about the entertainment for Saturday night, which was listed on the website. She wasn't quite sure and asked if she could call me back. She was very sweet & kind on the phone. When she called back she informed me that the band would not be playing. She then told me of the location they would be performing. All I could think was that was so nice of her and it was above and beyond of what I asked. I asked if she was the hostess and she said, "No I'm the bartender!" I was really impressed now. We decided to go on Friday instead because there wasn't going to be music on Saturday. This restaurant has 4 different entrances. We couldn't decide on which way to enter. Of course we picked the back door which put us directly in the dinning room. We made our way up front to the hostess stand and met Artie. He was very nice and gave us a list of options: Did we want to sit outside? Did we want the bar or dinning room? Did we want a high boy or low table? We had so many options to choose from. It was hard to decide. We also learned that Artie was one of three brothers that owned the restaurant. Artie set us up with Willow as our waitress. Willow was a real hard worker and was constantly running food and serving tables. We asked Willow about the food and she went through all of her favorites. She even rolled her eyes in a good way when she said how delicious the homemade roast beef sandwich was. My wife was sold. We learned that the 3 brothers bought the business from there grandparents and this roast beef was grandpa's secret recipe. I must admit it was really good. Look out Chicago there's a new player up North. Later in the evening when Willow asked my wife how the sandwich was my wife rolled her eyes just like Willow. I'm telling you the beef is magical. I did have a little taste and I know I'm getting one of these for my self next time. Originally we were all coming for the Fish Boil. What's a fish boil? I'm glad you asked. A fish boil is a culinary tradition in areas of Wisconsin with large Scandinavian populations along the Great Lakes coast lines. The locally caught fish is cut into chunks and dropped into a kettle cooking potatoes and onions. The only seasoning that is added is salt. I must say that it was delicious for my first fish boil. It is often served with melted butter giving it the name poor mans lobster. Of course I had to get the melted butter. I'm doing it up big tonight. Did I tell you that it's AYCE for only $14. Now that's a deal. My wife encouraged me to add on the AYCE BBQ chicken and BBQ ribs. At first I said no but then she said your only $4 away from getting it all. I looked at her and accepted the challenge. I must admit the chicken and ribs were tender fall of the bone delicious plus the BBQ sauce had a nice sweet tangy flavor. You can also get coleslaw and rye bread too. This was a meal fit for a Scandinavian King if he was into Fish Boils. Now what makes this place unique is that they are offering a Fish Boil. Everyone in Wisconsin serves a fish fry not this place. The one thing I liked was that I didn't feel sluggish or tired after eating the boiled fish and BBQ'd meat. Typically it feel like I'm dragging after a greasy fish fry. Our little one had a bowl of the Potato Soup which she loved. I snuck and spoon and it was really good. We also ordered a kids meal for $3 which included Mac n Cheese, seasoned fries & apple sauce. How can you go wrong with all of that? After dinner we went out to see where the magic happens. There is a fire pit next to the restaurant where we met Nate who was manning the fish boil. Nate works harder then a postal worker because he is stuck out side cooking through sleet, rain & snow. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it. Nate is really proud of everything he is doing outside. I would call him the head chef of the Fish Boil. Remember that sweet kind bartender Shelby well I finally got to meet her. She was taking her break keeping Nate company outside. When I introduced myself, she laughed and said, "You were so nice on the phone!" I took that as a total compliment. Isn't it amazing when two complete strangers can have a great conversation on the phone. I wish this was an everyday occurrence because the world would be a better place. They also have weekly specials that include half price pizza on Tuesdays, 50 cent wings on Wednesdays and 99 cent kid meals with Magician on Thursdays. So plan your week accordingly. If you've never been to a fish boil then this is the place. The food was excellent and the owners & staff amazing. We can hardly wait to come back. read more

This restaurant recently opened in the past couple of months. While driving by one night we noticed the fish boil taking place outside. My husband & I knew we had to visit. This is a family friendly restaurant and bar. The staff was super friendly from beginning to end. I suspect this is a family business, as we were asked several times if we enjoyed ourselves and the food. To which the answers are Yes & Yes! The menu is limited - pizza, burgers, beef sandwiches, fish boil, ribs & chicken pretty much sum up the menu. Do not let that deter you. The quality of the food was fantastic. I had the fish boil (limited availability during the week - Thurs - Sun), my husband had a hamburger and my daughter ordered the mac & cheese from the children's menu. I've attended fish boils in the past where the fish was oily. That was NOT the case here. The fish was super tasty. It dish also comes with boiled sweet onions and potatoes, grandma's coleslaw, dinner roll and a dessert. I barely managed to finish my plate - stick me with a fork. I was done! My husband ordered the hamburger (med. rare) with pepper jack cheese. The burger arrived cooked properly on a pretzel bun with onion, tomato & lettuce on the side. There are few places around here where you can get a decent burger. His opinion? "This is a tasty burger!" The burgers are made from scratch - molded, pressed, cooked at the time of order. I can't wait to try one! We arrived when the place was in full swing and boy it was noisy! Just be prepared for that and you'll be fine. Their Friday night fish boil is great! We love coming here. With covid restrictions they serve it to you rather than going up to the serving station. The one issue with that is you are served all 3 main oprions: ribs, chicken, and the fish. I only wanted fish and there was no all you can eat option of just the fish. read more

We tried this on a recommendation. I hope it was just an off night, but after seeing another previous review I am not sure. The fish boil was salty enough that my daughter and wife didn't want to eat it. The French onion soup was flavorless. Honestly, it tasted like a cook had added way too much water. The worst part was my Italian beef. I had to spit it out when I got the flavor of old meat. It wasn't rotten, but had that "turned" flavor. It reminded me of the review from 07/2020 that said the meat tasted like it was leftover from the previous weekend. It turned my stomach and I couldn't eat any more. In the end, no one really ate their food. We didn't want to complain, but I was shocked the server looked at all the food left uneaten and didn't say a thing. I will say that their prices are good, the place was very busy, and the servers were all pleasant. Maybe tonight was an odd occurrence, but it just was not good. read more

So disappointed, the whole family wanted to LOVE this place after reading great reviews. We planned on celebrating a couple of birthdays. Service was abysmal! Slow, did not bring drinks, did not respond to us getting up and asking for water, napkins, etc. Server really ruined what could have been a decent experience. Food was good not great. Fish, ribs, chicken. Everything else seemed to be leftover from the weekend. Nachos were served with petrified (old) fries baked in, meat tasted like leftovers from the previous night. Have been to other WI fish boils and not convinced this was prepared actual "fish boil" style.....as it seems like maybe just steamed. This fish was quite dry and tough/rubbery. I am used to the fish served swimming in "fish boil" juice and melted butter. They do serve this with a bit of melted butter on the side, but could have used more. None the less, the meal was still quite tasty and the serving quite generous. The staff were all very pleasant and the decor clean and inviting. Found this place using Yelp. We were in the hood and came in for AYCE boiled fish and chicken. There were 6 of us - and food was outstanding considering you're served on a plastic plate. They did not have AYCE because of Covid - but there was more than enough food for even the biggest dude in our group. The AYCE was just one big serving, and $2 less than advertised AYCE price. My son had their pizza and the sauce was really tasty. The pretzel bun burgers are fantastic as well. I usually get the fish boil and am a repeat customer. Be careful with the mai tai - so yummy and pretty potent. The only negative is the desserts are a mere morsel - not a full slice. It's so good though. My wife and I visited the Fire Pitt for the first time recently. It was hopping. There seemed to be a party of some sort going on. We were seated quickly, which was nice. It's not fancy, but kind of a homey feel. Definitely a bit brighter than I would have expected. They have a Fish Boil, which is their big thing. Seems to be extremely popular. Our waitress was nice and offered a quick taste of the fish to see if I wanted it. I wasn't in the mood for a buffet, but I did try the fish. It had quite a bit of butter in the little cup she brought me. I had never had boiled fish before, but it was pretty good. I'd certainly consider trying the Fish Boil buffet when we go back. And I mean, "When we go back" because honestly, our food was fantastic. My wife ordered a wrap, which she said was probably the best of all of the wraps she's had in the area. I ordered a Southwestern Burger and it was great. It was cooked to order and a good size. The fries were decent as well, although I thought there could have been a few more included on the plate. Stopped in to try the authentic Wisconsin fish boil. Was not disappointed. As you pull in the parking lot you can see the cook tending a large fire pit in the yard. Filling it with potatoes onions and delicious cod. We were given a sample by the waiter before settling on buying the all you can eat fish boil. That sealed the deal. With out being prompted my 12 year old daughter said she is getting it cause it tastes just like lobster. You get served big portions. I should not have gone back for the second plate. I was stuffed. Large dining room. But it needs some tlc. You can see where the roof has leaked in multiple places. But over all the boil was great. read more

My son and I recently tried out the restaurant last Thursday, which was apparently Kids Night which included a magician and balloon animals. Fairly noisy as a result. The Great: Service. Both servers we interacted with were fantastic. Very friendly, prompt, checked in with us very often & were super responsive. Hands down best service we've had in the area. The Good: Pizza was very good. Shredded pork sandwich tasted good and I liked that that they give you 4 different BBQ sauces to choose from to have with it. Ok: Cheeseburger soup was ok; to be honest it was bland and didn't seem very fresh. The cheese curds were four large egg rolls with cheese inside and some stale marinara sauce; I would recommend changing the recipe to allow for battered better seasoned curds and a different sauce like a ranch or equivalent. Overall, a good dining experiences saved by such friendly and attentive service. read more

I've been to the Fire Pitt multiple times for the fish boil and it's always wonderful! A few times I've added on the BBQ chicken and that has great flavor as well. I can't rave enough about their cole slaw either. The only other thing I've ordered was the Italian Beef sandwich and honestly it's the best one I've ever had! I'm not sure what made it so good, but the bread is toasted with extra au jus on the side so the sandwich is not a huge soggy mess. The beef quality was very good too! They have yummy seasoned fries, and once again, get the cole slaw if you can!! read more

Overall a very good experience. We had the potato and French onion soup, both were very good. My companion had the fish boil with the barbecue chicken and ribs and liked it all. Fish boils are not my thing, so I can't say, but the ribs and chicken were both very good. I had the bacon cheeseburger which was very good, cooked correctly and everything seemed very fresh. I took away the one star for atmosphere and price. The back room where we were seated feels very much like you're at the VFW hall, or your local firehouse spaghetti dinner, for some reason we expected something a little more rustic. Finally the price, one fish boil with chicken and rib dinner, a cheeseburger and two bowls of soup was $63 with tip, and that did not include any cocktails.
