It's like a Culv... well, there's one of those downtown... but local instead of national. By which I mean there are a bunch of these in different states, but no concentration of them. So anyway, I ordered a #9, jalapeno burger, double, with cheese curds. They had pitchers of sweet tea I watched them pour, so maybe catering to locals at each location? I sat down in their generous seating area and watched. My food took under 10 minutes to come out fresh. Curds: C*vers has the edge, but it's their specialty. Another item I appreciate having on the menu here. They offered a dip but I just popped them like candy. Burger: Very solid. The extra patty helped. Maybe I should have put the curds on the burger. Just occurred to me. Otherwise I got my veggies for the day and every bite went down smooth. Verdict: Quite a nice chain. I'm on the fence between 4 and 5 stars. I'll likely never be in another one (happened to pass another one today, actually) but judging from everyone else's reviews, 4 stars would be an insult. ;)

As I stepped in the first thing I noticed was how clean & well kept it was so it was a great start & it even got better from there. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Beef w side of Onion Rings. Both were amazing & the extra bonus was the portion sizes were quite large which is not the norm for a fast food place & all at a budget friendly price ( Sandwich, Side & a drink ) for $ 12.55. Honestly I've found my new all time favorite fast food restaurant! I highly recommend Beef A Roo!

But something nudged us to look a little farther -- and that gentle prompting led us straight to Danna's Bar‑B‑Que, just a short 13‑minute drive over the hills. What a discovery. It became the best meal of our entire week in Branson. Everything on the plate was memorable. The beans, cole slaw, and fries weren't just sides -- they were each crafted with unique flavors that stood out on their own. I ordered the brisket, my wife chose the ribs, and both were nothing short of BBQ perfection. Tender, flavorful, and prepared with the kind of care you rarely find. The staff matched the food -- kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. As we left, I told them, "If only this was in New England where I live." It's the kind of place you wish you could bring home with you. Danna's is a must‑visit for both locals and tourists. Moments from downtown, easy to reach, and absolutely worth the drive. Do not miss it.

He answered my questions about the food, albeit with a soft voice for such a loud/busy location. He just lacked any welcoming spirit, and did not give any effort to sell the food. It's our first time at the location and I clearly was having trouble navigating their huge menu, but it was more of what do you want, yes/no. Food: Fried catfish 5/5: crispy, light, well seasoned. Definitely the highlight of the food we ordered Brisket 2.5/5: we ordered a pound, portion was good size, but overall it was pretty dry. With enough bbq sauce it was passable. Ribs 1/5: weakest point of the food. Dry, almost tasteless, chewy. Not sure if we just caught them at the end of the day because we went for dinner but the meats seemed old/dry. The ribs and brisket arrived maybe 5 minutes or less after we ordered it, which begs the question if it's freshness and quality which showed in the product taste. The catfish on the other hand took 10-15 minutes and came out hot and was clearly freshly fried , and again this translated to its quality. Service: the servers were fine. Polite, welcoming, helpful. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Earlier in the trip we visited gettin basted and it's clear why they won awards for their bbq. On top of that, the experience was much more welcoming and warm.
