So I can say, I hit the jackpot when finding LAB. When I first contacted Andy (Co-Owner), he was very professional. Andy listed to our schools needs and made time to explain what his company provide. He is clear, thorough and straight forward. He does not mislead you and if he makes a mistake on his end, he takes responsibility and fixes any issues we may have. Andy invited me to their shop, LAB in South El Monte, which is super inviting. All apparels he has available that he has to offer is hung nicely on racks ordered by company. Near by is a bar, which to me shows that they love to work and play at the same time. I met German, I believe he's the co-owner and is the main screen printer. German is also super nice and also very clear and straight forward. German explains the screen printing process, shows me the screens, how they are printed on from a computer, how the printer works and much more. I felt very welcome anytime I come to place, review and pick up orders. They do not have anything to hide. I design our school logos, which makes it an easier process for our school, and LAB does not care what the designs are and if they come in one color. Andy does not reject any designs or sends it back to make any modifications. He accepts it, helps tweak it and/or improves it. He's very flexible. As for pricing, LAB is the best price in town. As far as my research goes. Andy has always work to meet or beat any competitors price. As for the products, we've ordered sweaters, long sleeve shirts and T-Shirts, all came out as I designed it and mocked up by Andy. All mock ups Andy creates gives our school a visual of what the final product looks like, it takes alot of time on his end, but it's great to see what our product will look like. After dropping it off he calls me back and tells me how rude the guy at the counter was to him and just how complicated he made a simple task seem. He said the guy acted like it was just a huge inconvenience, asking several questions for what should be simple and self explanatory and complaining that they normally do larger jobs , blah blah blah. At the end of the day I hadn't heard back from them as promised to let me know it was ready. I was already on a time crunch, because I intended this picture as a gift to someone who was visiting so I stopped by to see if it was finished (4pm, drop off was 9am) and the guy said "Oh, I forgot, let me warm up the machine". About 10 min later I have the copies. Now remember, I specifically asked for a color print of a glossy photo and they specifically responded that they can provide this. What I got was AWFUL. It was a morphed, discolored, paper copy. Common sense dictates that if someone asks for a copy of a glossy photo then theyd get a glossy photo in return. Its was so terrible. I think he even tried to balance the color, which made it worse...... The original photo was taken is soft lighting but it came out like it was red..... I dont even know how to explain it other than it was absolute garbage. Like I said, maybe they do good work on large print jobs but this place had no business reaching out to me when I was specific about what I was looking for AND the guy who is at the service desk is rude and unprofessional. I dont care about the measly $5. I care that my time was wasted and that both my husband and I were treated poorly. Oh, and I had to ask for my card back because he didnt return it at the end of the task and yes, he forgot because he sent me on my way before giving it back. I drove straight to CVS and printed out a perfect glossy duplicate for under $1.00, self service, took 3 minutes, the picture wasnt damaged or bent like I had feared which is why I did not go in the first place and no drama.

Van also communicated with me throughout the whole time. Excellent service. I got all my templates from Etsy and wanted some black menu cards printed and everywhere else wanted almost $1+ for "white ink printing" which by the way, is NOT necessary as it can be done through regular printing. I'm not about to spend $1 x 300 guests for menu cards people are going to glance and toss...Studio 7 was able to print on black cardstock and it looked just as good and served it's purpose at a fraction of the price.
