Big shout out to fire and ice HVAC! My unit stopped working on Mother's Day and it was hot so I made a claim through my warranty. They sent out fire and ice and the technician name was Kyle. He was friendly, thorough with the inspection, and answered all of my questions. He returned after finding the problem to complete the repair with TC since it was a two man job. Both guys were respectful, clean, full of knowledge with the HVAC unit and the repair and we now have AC again!! Thank you fire and ice for this quick repair and sending out great technicians. We had a home warranty claim on our AC unit and Fire and Ice HVAC was sent out. The technician was friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable -- he explained the issue clearly and followed up with the warranty company as promised. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. The part is covered under the manufacturer's warranty, meaning we would only be paying for labor -- a straightforward, ready-to-go job. Despite two voicemails requesting a callback to schedule the repair, no one has returned our calls. There is money on the table and they simply won't pick up the phone. It's a genuine shame because the technician who came to our home was excellent. But a business runs on communication and follow-through, and Fire and Ice falls short there. We will be moving on to another company. I cannot recommend them. read more

We wholeheartedly recommend FIRE & ICE HVAC! Our AC malfuntioned in July (ugh!!) The first company we called came out and looked everything over and said our system was old and we needed a new one and happily provided an estimate (ugh!!! + $$$). We called FIRE & ICE to get a second estimate. Dave came out and thoroughly looked everything over and determined the real issue. To our relief, we did not need a new system but we definitely needed to revamp our ducting. He showed us pictures and took time to explain the real problems and what was needed to make our system work properly. He saved us a lot of money, and now our HVAC works better than ever. Not only was Jennifer easy to talk to after dealing with South Placer Heating and Cooling that wanted to rip me off. We had our air go out AGAIN right when the heatwave hit. Thankfully, we have a home warranty and we were able to contact them for service. They said that it would be a week before we could get service (!!!!) but maybe if we reached out to the provider ourselves, we could get faster service. (I'll write another review about that later). I reached out to Fire and Ice and the kind lady on the phone immediately scheduled us for service that following Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around and it turned out to be the hottest day of the week at 106 degrees. TC showed up at the early end of the estimated 1pm -3pm window. He was professional, polite and explained everything he was doing as he worked. It turned out that there were some wire shorts on the main unit and he added a start capacitor to make the system more efficient. I now recommend Fire and Ice to everyone because even though we didn't pay them directly, I feel like we definitely got our money's worth! read more

The guy that came out was extremely professional and I was hopeful he could get the job done. He said that our ac was frozen over and we would need to let it defrost before he'd come back out to asses the issue. We turned off the a/c right then and there. He said someone would reach out in a couple of days. Less than 5 mins after he left the ceiling in our room began to leak. He came back roughly 30 mins later and explained that there was nothing we could do, as we took too long to fix the problem. My husband didn't take that info too well but I understood. I was hopeful that we would soon have A/C in this triple digit weather with a house full of kids, while working from home but almost a week later of calling and leaving voicemails, we've yet to hear back. Idk maybe their dodging us because of the leak that started after he left. I just want my a/c fixed. I've heard great thing about this business, but so far have yet to see it. They came out to do a quote on our house some time in January or February. Told us they couldn't replace the ducting in my crawl space due to standing water, was told we need to Dry it out first. So I did, and now my wife and I have been calling for weeks with no response or answer. Left a voice Mail yesterday no response. Called today, nothing. Maybe they will get back to me but who knows. I've already paid the fee for the quote so I'll chalk it up as a loss. Update: They called me back and came out for a quote. They were friendly and prompt. I had another company come out and check why our AC wasn't working. I was told I needed a whole new unit and quoted me 15k. I decided to get a second opinion and heard great things about Fire & Ice and gave them a call they had someone come by right away. They found the problem and had it fixed in less than 30 mins. Now my AC is working perfectly and without needing to spend 15k which is the best part. It's good to know there are still honest people around that don't just try and take your money. I do not take pleasure in bad reviews, but when it's warranted it's just warranted. I contacted my Home Warranty company about problems I was having with my HVAC system. They dispatched Fire and Ice. The technician came and said something about a "frazzled" something or other. He did not do any repairs and said someone would be getting back to me about repairs once they communicate with the warranty company. No one ever got back, so I called the Warranty Company. They said the work order had been closed because Fire and Ice said the work had been done! After some back and forth with both companies Fire and Ice came back and simply replaced a thermostat (which I'm not too confident was the issue). Conclusion for me... Stay away from Fire and Ice. Three weeks have passed and I had to beg my home warranty to pick another company. The home warranty record showed they rejected the service call because they couldn't get a hold of us. My AC unit went out on one of the hottest days of the year so I called my home warranty service to send out a contractor. Unfortunately it was the holiday weekend so I had to wait until Wednesday to event get in contact with the one assigned. The original contractor they assigned told me they wouldn't be able to come out until another week (unacceptable). I called the warranty service back and they assigned it to another company (I won't mention the name) I searched yelp and google and they had absolutely horrible reviews. I advised the warranty service they would not be coming to my home and to assign someone else. They gave me two options and I checked yelp again and chose Fire & Ice. I definitely made the right decision. Kyle was my technician and he was fantastic!! Great personality, friendly and provided exceptional customer service as well as education on how to have my AC run effectively. Our 27 year old HVAC failed during a heat wave and we were connected with Fire & Ice through our American Home Shield policy. Even though we were a new customer, Jen scheduled us for a diagnostic appointment in a timely manner. Kyle came out to check out our entire system and found a faulty blower unit. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. After installing the new blower, the circuit board malfunctioned, so they had to order that.
