We had a home warranty claim on our AC unit and Fire and Ice HVAC was sent out. The technician was friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable -- he explained the issue clearly and followed up with the warranty company as promised. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. The part is covered under the manufacturer's warranty, meaning we would only be paying for labor -- a straightforward, ready-to-go job. Despite two voicemails requesting a callback to schedule the repair, no one has returned our calls. There is money on the table and they simply won't pick up the phone. It's a genuine shame because the technician who came to our home was excellent. But a business runs on communication and follow-through, and Fire and Ice falls short there. We will be moving on to another company. I cannot recommend them. read more

Big shout out to fire and ice HVAC! My unit stopped working on Mother's Day and it was hot so I made a claim through my warranty. They sent out fire and ice and the technician name was Kyle. He was friendly, thorough with the inspection, and answered all of my questions. He returned after finding the problem to complete the repair with TC since it was a two man job. Both guys were respectful, clean, full of knowledge with the HVAC unit and the repair and we now have AC again!! Thank you fire and ice for this quick repair and sending out great technicians. If we need you all again we know who to call!! read more

I've had both technicians Kyle and TC out to my home several times through my home warranty, and they've been excellent every visit. They are always kind, professional, and take the time to clearly explain the issue and the solution. I truly appreciate their honesty and great customer service. I highly recommend Fire & Ice HVAC! read more

We were assigned to work with Fire & Ice through our home warranty. They were great. The communication was great. They arrived right on time. They completed the requested services and provided recommendations for our unit moving forward. We'd definitely recommend them. read more

I received a call from Jennifer at Fire and Ice because American Home Shield listed them as a contractor. Not only was Jennifer easy to talk to after dealing with South Placer Heating and Cooling that wanted to rip me off. But when Kyle the technician stopped by and walked me through the whole diagnostic I didn't feel ignored and learned a bit on how to check for failures in the system. They were fair and saved me a great deal of unnecessary repairs that would have costs me a fortune. Thank you so much Fire And Ice for all you do in this Vacaville community. You take care of us and I am so grateful. read more

We wholeheartedly recommend FIRE & ICE HVAC! Our AC malfuntioned in July (ugh!!) The first company we called came out and looked everything over and said our system was old and we needed a new one and happily provided an estimate (ugh!!! + $$$). We called FIRE & ICE to get a second estimate. Dave came out and thoroughly looked everything over and determined the real issue. To our relief, we did not need a new system but we definitely needed to revamp our ducting. He showed us pictures and took time to explain the real problems and what was needed to make our system work properly. He saved us a lot of money, and now our HVAC works better than ever. We appreciated Dave's honesty, knowledge, and excellent work. It was obvious he put our best interest first. We even had them install a Whole House Fan. Great techs, great customer service, great company. read more

After another warranty company misdiagnosed our HVAC issue and was unable to resolve the problem, Fire & Ice HVAC came out and quickly identified the actual cause. Their technician was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what was happening and what needed to be repaired. They fixed the issue correctly, and our system is now working as it should. I appreciated their honesty, expertise, and willingness to thoroughly troubleshoot the problem instead of making assumptions. If you're looking for an HVAC company that knows what they're doing and stands behind their work, I highly recommend Fire & Ice HVAC. read more

We just wanted to say a big thank you to Jen for being so sweet on the phone. Kyle and TC were such nice guys with such great knowledge and skill. They were so informative and had such great energy. We will defenitly be requesting and promoting this company if anyone needs a Hvac company. Thank you again for being our heros and giving us heat again. We all thank you so much. Happy New Year. read more

We had our air go out AGAIN right when the heatwave hit. Thankfully, we have a home warranty and we were able to contact them for service. They said that it would be a week before we could get service (!!!!) but maybe if we reached out to the provider ourselves, we could get faster service. (I'll write another review about that later). I reached out to Fire and Ice and the kind lady on the phone immediately scheduled us for service that following Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around and it turned out to be the hottest day of the week at 106 degrees. TC showed up at the early end of the estimated 1pm -3pm window. He was professional, polite and explained everything he was doing as he worked. It turned out that there were some wire shorts on the main unit and he added a start capacitor to make the system more efficient. I now recommend Fire and Ice to everyone because even though we didn't pay them directly, I feel like we definitely got our money's worth! read more

Jennifer should answer the phone to avid having to call the owner. If you need your heater repaired, avoid this company at all cost. Also don't call the owner, Dave, on the weekend or he will cancel your appointment. Not a wise choice in running your business. ZERO STARS read more

The guy that came out was extremely professional and I was hopeful he could get the job done. He said that our ac was frozen over and we would need to let it defrost before he'd come back out to asses the issue. We turned off the a/c right then and there. He said someone would reach out in a couple of days. Less than 5 mins after he left the ceiling in our room began to leak. He came back roughly 30 mins later and explained that there was nothing we could do, as we took too long to fix the problem. My husband didn't take that info too well but I understood. I was hopeful that we would soon have A/C in this triple digit weather with a house full of kids, while working from home but almost a week later of calling and leaving voicemails, we've yet to hear back. Idk maybe their dodging us because of the leak that started after he left. I just want my a/c fixed. Update (3 days later): They marked the job as complete and told home warranty when they called cannot do the job without ever contacting us. So unprofessional. read more

I was without heat for a week because the first company my home warranty sent a service order to never reached out. Fire & Ice got the second service order and responded in a reasonable amount of time. Jen called and enthusiastically set an appointment. She was confident everything would be taken care of. TC and Kyle were punctual, thorough, professional and resolved the issues. I will only request them in future service calls. Im so grateful I don't have to suffer in the cold anymore. Thanks so much - KMD read more

My wife noticed that the temperature in our house wasn't dropping despite the AC being on. I found Fire & Ice HVAC and scheduled a same-day appointment between 1-3 PM. Dave arrived early, diagnosed the problem, and efficiently replaced the fan motor and capacitor. He was pleasant, explained everything, and even gave me a military discount. We're very pleased with Fire & Ice HVAC and will definitely use them again. Thanks Dave and Jen! read more

This is the worst company I've ever had associated with. You could never get a hold of them even American Shield couldn't get a hold of them. I finally got a new vendor. The lady that on the voicemail she does not call you back. I must called her 15 times, they never called the insurance company back. They are terrible a terrible company. I would never refer them to anyone. Linda read more

I had a home warranty request for my central ac. I had other companies to choose from, but I had a chance to Google reviews first prior to choosing. This Fire and Ice had good reviews so I went with them. They had great customer service. They came to do the job when it was convenient for me. They were professional and explained everything that was going on and the job they needed to do. I would recommend them and use them again. read more

I've heard great thing about this business, but so far have yet to see it. They came out to do a quote on our house some time in January or February. Told us they couldn't replace the ducting in my crawl space due to standing water, was told we need to Dry it out first. So I did, and now my wife and I have been calling for weeks with no response or answer. Left a voice Mail yesterday no response. Called today, nothing. Maybe they will get back to me but who knows. I've already paid the fee for the quote so I'll chalk it up as a loss. Update: They called me back and came out for a quote. They were friendly and prompt. The quote was reasonable and within the range of what I expected to spend. read more

I've had the pleasure to have my AC unit checked by Dave Garcia. He is very punctual, knowledgeable, helpful, kind. Can't thank Jen & TC enough!! Our A/C started to not work (of course when it's about to get super hot) and I expressed my concerns to Jen when scheduling thru our insurance, that I'm 6 days past my due date & I'm worried about bringing home a baby to a very warm house. She instantly scheduled an appointment for us and they went above and beyond to get the part for us the same day of our appointment to fix our A/C. And TC was in our attic in 103 degree weather. So very appreciative and we highly recommend them!! Thank you again. read more

I do not take pleasure in bad reviews, but when it's warranted it's just warranted. I contacted my Home Warranty company about problems I was having with my HVAC system. They dispatched Fire and Ice. The technician came and said something about a "frazzled" something or other. He did not do any repairs and said someone would be getting back to me about repairs once they communicate with the warranty company. No one ever got back, so I called the Warranty Company. They said the work order had been closed because Fire and Ice said the work had been done! After some back and forth with both companies Fire and Ice came back and simply replaced a thermostat (which I'm not too confident was the issue). Conclusion for me... Stay away from Fire and Ice. Very unscrupulous business practices. read more

I had another company come out and check why our AC wasn't working. I was told I needed a whole new unit and quoted me 15k. I decided to get a second opinion and heard great things about Fire & Ice and gave them a call they had someone come by right away. They found the problem and had it fixed in less than 30 mins. Now my AC is working perfectly and without needing to spend 15k which is the best part. It's good to know there are still honest people around that don't just try and take your money. Defiantly will recommend to anyone!!! read more

This company is totally unresponsive to home warranty service requests- not sure why. Left multiple voicemails and missed calls. Three weeks have passed and I had to beg my home warranty to pick another company. The home warranty record showed they rejected the service call because they couldn't get a hold of us. All the while- we were calling for an update. It's so annoying. read more

My AC unit went out on one of the hottest days of the year so I called my home warranty service to send out a contractor. Unfortunately it was the holiday weekend so I had to wait until Wednesday to event get in contact with the one assigned. The original contractor they assigned told me they wouldn't be able to come out until another week (unacceptable). I called the warranty service back and they assigned it to another company (I won't mention the name) I searched yelp and google and they had absolutely horrible reviews. I advised the warranty service they would not be coming to my home and to assign someone else. They gave me two options and I checked yelp again and chose Fire & Ice. I definitely made the right decision. Kyle was my technician and he was fantastic!! Great personality, friendly and provided exceptional customer service as well as education on how to have my AC run effectively. If I have anymore problems (fingers crossed I won't) they will be my go to!! Thanks Kyle for your professionalism and Go Cowboys!! (Inside joke lol) read more

Every once and again you happen across one of those companies that go the extra mile because that's just what they do. Today was the day when Fire and Ice was dispatched to my home to help me with my AC issues. I hit the gold mine by being lucky enough to speak with the owner and his lovely wife. They were kind, considerate, respectful of my home and my work hours and did their best to get me scheduled in record time. And when Dave came out he took the extra time to tell me what I needed to know going forward to get the most out of my unit. Not to mention every thing was back in working order in record time. I've been blessed to make the acquaintance of this company and highly recommend them for your HVAC needs! Amazing people, amazing company amazing service!!! Our 27 year old HVAC failed during a heat wave and we were connected with Fire & Ice through our American Home Shield policy. Even though we were a new customer, Jen scheduled us for a diagnostic appointment in a timely manner. Kyle came out to check out our entire system and found a faulty blower unit. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. After installing the new blower, the circuit board malfunctioned, so they had to order that. Kyle and his partner just installed that part and we have a fully functioning air conditioner again, just in time for another 100 degree day. Thanks Fire & Ice! read more
