I just came in and asked a sales associate (Forgive me, I have no polite way to describe her. She was a Caucasian woman with a large belly, skinny legs, and bad teeth) to adjust one of my rings while I looked around the store. She eyed me suspiciously, and treated me as if I was doing her a great disservice by even coming in.
She reluctantly took my ring while I looked around the store. I asked her about a specific stone (which I had never seen before) that the store had in one of the display cases. She gave me a curt, smug and very disinterested answer.
She fiddled with my ring for about 2 minutes and said, "Well, I don't know what you want me to do". I informed her that the last time I was in here, the sales associate used the ring measuring stick and a mallet to reshape the ring (for some reason, the back of my rings always end up flat). She just shrugged and acted like she had no interest in helping me, saying "Well, maybe you'll need to take it to a jeweler or something". It was clear that this woman had clearly left her customer service skills at home that day, so I asked for my ring back and left. Such a nasty and dismissive attitude.
I stood outside the store to update my review of this location and as I was doing so, she walked past me to use the ladies' room, shooting me nasty look as she walked by. Completely unacceptable.
What was really disappointing is that the last time I visited this store, the sales associates were chatty and friendly and super helpful. One of them complimented me on my rings and as we were talking, she mentioned that they they needed reshaping. She offered to adjust them all (neither asking, nor caring, which ones I'd previously purchased from Fire & Ice, and which ones I had purchased elsewhere.) free of charge, as I looked around the store. I was so pleased with the level of service I received that purchased a new ring, just because. Unfortunately, that purchase did not work out (it broke in half a few days after I bought it), but I was willing to give the them another chance. After this visit, however, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
This isn't my first bad experience with this company, but it will be my last. read more
