Cheese Pizza, Extra Sauce
Kathy T.

Delicious pizza! We got a cheese pizza with extra sauce. Our crafted pizza was done so well! We were impressed with that true Italian flavor. Fiori's pizza is located in Mission Hills. This family business started in 1979 and has recently changed hands to another family. Reasonably priced. Their cheese pizza prices start at $16.99. The crust is the best part. Not too thick, not too thin; it's just right. Reheats so well in my air fryer while keeping it from drying out. Love their red sauce, not too sweet and not too tangy. Also on the menu are the usual Italian fare: Hot and Cold Sandwiches, Salads, Pasta, Sides, Desserts, Sodas and Mineral Waters, both Perrier and San Pellegrino. Health Score 100 out of 100. And they take cryptocurrency as payment. Run, don't walk! lol. You will love the taste of this pizza.

Margarita and Hawaiian

UPDATE (5 stars) I've come to really love their Hawaiian Pizza (my favorite kind of pizza). In general I love Hawaiian Pizza. And for the record, "yes" pineapple DOES belong on pizza. Judge me all you like. As of late, I'd big a big pizza pie, eats few slices, and wrap in foil and freeze the rest. This will last me extra days/weeks when I crave a slice of Fiori's pizza. What? Yes. It tastes so fresh and good when you reheat it in an air fryer or oven. Then crispy edges! Their dough also does well when preheat - doesn't get over dried out or burnt or too crispy; it's PERFECT! I'm finding friendly budget ways to enjoy food because preservation of money and having a happy belly is a win-win situation. When I crave some pizza this is one of my go-to places. Until the next review...

Fiori's special extra cheese no onion

Fiori's over the years is still the best pizza in San Diego. A lovely family and small business and I love to support them any time I'm craving pizza. Their Philly Cheesesteak is also amazing. I've also gotten to try their desserts they sell on the side and they are delicious. If you are in the area or just want really good food, the drive is worth it. Any time people ask for good pizza, I always recommend Fiori's.

Great slice of pizza! So I'd go back for that. I also got a chicken parm sub and it wasn't anything special. Not a lot of chicken, which left me still hungry after. (Thank god I got a pepperoni slice too!)

Pepperoni & Mushrooms and Sausage Slice
Jack M.

This place makes some very good pizza. I had a couple of slice: a sausage slice and a pepperoni and mushroom slice. They both slices came on the the same crust and the same tomato sauce. Each large slice cost $3. The crust's flavor was mild, but had very good texture. It offered a light crispiness on the outside and with good soft center. It was a thin to medium crust. The sauce was well balance between acidity and sweetness, not much of either, just a good tomato flavor. The sausage on the one slice was very good. They offer a good variety of whole pies and pizza by the slice. At the moment, they do not offer a combo slice deal, but it is in the works. There are a few tables available inside the Pizzeria. Service was super friendly.

Ask the Community - Fiori’s Pizza

I don't see "slices" on your menu. Do you still sell by the slice and if so, what do you charge?

Hi Cathy, We do sell by slice! We have a showcase of slices inside the restaurant. And we charge $3.50 a slice. Thank you and hope to see you soon!

Is there any parking allocated for you behind Falcon Liquor Store?

Yes there is parking behind Fioris Pizza.

Coming back to send my love to my favorite sub place…read more I've sadly moved to a different part of town so Fatboy's is no longer a few blocks away. I still try to stop by every few months as this place holds a special place in my heart. A no frills spot. Solid and consistent. To the point but friendly customer service. Fantastic drink, chip and snack selection. Sandwiches are always bomb asf. The hot momma and BLT loaded up is my favorite. My husband still loves their Ruben (it is his favorite place to get it.) You get a small potato or macaroni salad on the side with a pickle (perfect crunch.) I personally think it's a great little add on. Their chili is also simple but delicious. I personally think their chili pairs perfectly with any of their sandwiches. It's not a heavy thick chili. Which is why I think it pairs so well. I won't lie it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It's loaded up and good quality. I never feel gross or overly bloated after eating here. I will be coming back to Fatboy's until I move out of San Diego or die. lol. One of my favorite gems in SD. Always will be worth the drive or walk. Thank you for always delivering even years later.

I used to frequent Fatboy's because it was close and convenient for a long time, but I am rarely able to visit anymore... parking is a bigger challenge every day in North Park, and finding even a 15-minute spot takes way longer than the drive for me now (but the walk is too far to pick up a quick meal). Today I was down the street for something else so decided to order a sandwich. I was excited, then my jaw dropped when I saw the price increases. It's $18 for the North Park Club now, with no extras. I already had a hard time justifying $15 for a sandwich but I'm officially, 100% priced out now. I know it's not necessarily on the business owners; rent is exorbitant in NP, profit margins are small in the food service industry, and operating costs are high. Our city is eating itself alive, but thank you for the years of sandwiches!

I love the sandwiches here, they are all really good but this is my favorite. I will say that the sandwich needs acid so order mustard, onions, pickles and pepperoncinis. There is a few tables scattered throughout and don't be surprised if you can't find a seat, It's busy. This place is CASH ONLY!!!! The best part is the service. I'm not sure of her name but the nice lady at the register is what makes this place special. I bought my sandwiches to go and didn't expect any special treatment but she tells me to make myself at home and offers my son and I free drinks while we wait. I've seen her generosity in person! Some people forget that it's cash only, she either lets them pay next time, honor system or gives it away. Who's does that nowadays. A little off the beaten path...yes Selective hours while you're probably working...yeah Worth an extended lunch to grab one of these sandos...Absolutely! Dena and the crew are putting together some seriously delicious and well-thought-out, stacked sandos. While you won't be getting a footlong roll, the sizable portion of fillings makes for an excellent meat to bread ratio. And speaking of bread, while most of the sandwiches come on a fresh torta roll, you also have your choice of sourdough, wheat, rye, squaw, French roll, wrap, or croissant. Now that's wassup. What I tried on this visit: The New Yorker and The Italian Both sandwiches were absolutely fire. I started with the Italian and the first thing I noticed was the beautiful, shimmering, thinly sliced red onion. The shine on the veggies immediately let me know they were perfectly dressed with oil and vinegar. Upon separating the two halves to reveal the innards, layers upon layers of freshly sliced meats were waiting to be devoured. First bite...ecstasy. Not only were the veggies dressed, they were also seasoned. The combination of the flavorful proteins, tasty veggies, and fluffy torta, were a HIT! This sandwich was juicy in all the right ways. My only wish is that I would have substituted the American cheese with more provolone or swiss. Moving on to The New Yorker...Hello Pastrami!! Bomb, bomb, bomb. Both the corned beef and the pastrami were smackin' on this hot sando. Wonderfully tender, lean, flavorful proteins were packed inside this torta for absolute deliciousness. I wish I had one right now. The only thing that would have made this better was some horseradish mustard. Along with sandwiches there are breakfast items including bagels and a burrito, salads, soups, chips, and a famous brownie. Unfortunately, the brownies were sold out by the time I arrived, but I'll definitely pick one up the next time they're available. Great pickles, free parking, a few outside tables, and some inside seating rounds out the experience. Call ahead to minimize the wait. Thanks Dena and crew! I'll be back!!!

When we went up to ask, we were laughed at by three guys who were working. The guy who ended up taking our order made a snide remark about how it's not that hard to order and we don't need to act stupid to get his attention. This was entirely off-putting, and yet we still ordered when we should have walked out then and there. We were taken aback by his remark and after ordering, he scoffed because one of them was vegetarian. He turned to his buddies and said "what's the point of going to a deli if you're not gonna order any meat!", loudly enough that we could hear. The service was god awful that we almost threw out the sandwiches, and honestly could've made a better one at home. Veggies tasted old, barely any cheese, avocado was nasty, and the turkey was way too salty. Won't be back.

We typically go to Iowa Farms since it's close to us and we're familiar with the location. We love getting the potato salad and bbq baked beans (prepackaged) sides there when we stop in, but if you're not early on the weekend, they usually run out. So we decided since we'd be in the Bay Park area, we'll check out the original location, Siesel's. Glad we did! I wanted to make a slow cooker brisket one weekend, so it was perfect. Siesel's is a bit larger than Iowa Farms and feels a bit more open. Same great cow awaiting outside the store. But they have a whole deli counter with all the sides plus more! They didn't have any ready made prepackaged bbq baked beans, it was better, made fresh daily and we were able to get as much as we wanted at the deli counter. They also have several different Siesel's signature potato salads and pasta salads that aren't offered prepackaged at Iowa farms, which I absolutely love! My favs are the Asiago pasta and deviled egg potato salad. We also decided to try their Tri-tip sandwich made to order at the deli and it was delicious! Fluffy bun piled high with Tri-tip covered in bbq sauce and have the option to add cheese and anything else. Love it! Staff is always very helpful.
