Delicious pizzas and a fun drive-thru concept! Friendly service made it a great experience.

I've driven by here several times and today was the day that I decided to stop and get some pizza They have the option to drive-through and also have the option of slices which I like. I selected off the menu once a slice of pepperoni and one slice of barbecue chicken. They unfortunately did not have the barbecue chicken available so I got two pepperoni The slice comes very large. My second order the slice was a little small so they gave me two slices which was awesome. It's a nice thin crust pizza, very crispy. The sauce is not overly sweet, spicy or acidic. Just the right amount of cheese and toppings. I ordered it the first window and it was available at the second window in about three minutes. Both gentlemen that were working Italian. It's always nice to hear an Italian accent. They do have some outside seating if you're waiting for a whole pie They do recommend ordering ahead if ordering a whole pie. You can tell they really care about what they're serving. What I love most is the variety. The pizza is good, the only setback for me is that the pepperoni has too much grease and I've ordered it a few times to see if it was just a one time thing but unfortunately it wasn't. Service is always really good. It's just a drive through order and pick up so not much of an ambiance unless you're eating outside on the side then it's pretty cool. read more

Looking for pizza options and found Pit Stop Pizza had online ordering and a drive thru so decided to check it out. After looking at reviews, we knew to order a full pizza ahead of time and did so online. Note: ordering online does not give you the option to do half and half or customize, so you may have to call in for that. In addition to the pizza, we got an order of garlic knots. Sauce does not come with the knots, you have to pay extra for that (we got marinara). Arriving at the drive thru, we gave our name for our pizza and I think the owner was glad that we knew to call ahead of time. He did say that the drive thru is for slices only and typically it is about 3 minutes after ordering to get a slice. Our food was ready at the next window and the owner couldn't have been nicer. The pizza itself was very good as were the knots. I was expecting a bigger knot, but these were really good and loaded with garlic. The chicken pesto pizza was also really tasty. The first time we stopped by was pretty late... we rolled up to the drive-thru at 8:45pm, when they were close to closing. We wanted to get a few slices to try, and they were out of the All You Can Meat, but still had Pepperoni so they doctored up a slice to be an All You Can Meat. We also got a Pesto Chicken and since it was our first time, they threw in a complimentary BBQ Chicken slice, which was very kind. They apologized profusely and explained they didn't make any new pies since it was close to closing- no biggie for us. We waited a few minutes at the second drive-thru window and were given a box of hot slices. Just FYI and heads up, the drive-thru when you leave is SUPER steep. Be careful going down. We enjoyed the slices, nice and thin- just the way we like and good flavor. Not too overwhelming. We decided to order a Build Your Own Pizza a few weeks later and it was delicious! The order was ready when we arrived. We ordered a "deluxe" bc we like toppings: pepperoni, sausage, red peppers, onions, mushrooms and black olives. They didn't skimp on the toppings and we loved it! We heated it up in a pan the next morning and the thin crust held up and was nice and crispy. I would have taken a picture of the tiramisu, but we devoured it! Tiramisu is my favorite dessert and Pit Stop's is 10/10! Get it- you won't regret it! So happy to have a quality pizza place in the neighborhood. We will be back! read more

I stopped by around 8 PM on a Monday and went through the drive-through. There were no cars in line, and you can order pizza by the slice for $4. They offer a decent variety of slices like pepperoni, cheese, meat lovers, pesto, chicken, and a few others. With the drive-through setup, the tip option is a bit surprising given there's no real service beyond handing you the food. I tried two slices: *Pepperoni: it had a thin crust, but that's about the only thing going for it. There was barely any sauce, and the overall flavor was very bland. *Chicken Pesto: this was even worse. It was extremely dry and not enjoyable at all. Overall, this was easily some of the worst pizza I've had. The convenience and quick service don't make up for how dry and flavorless the pizza was, and it honestly made me wonder how long the slices had been sitting out. I wouldn't come back. read more

Stopped by to try their pizza and pasta. We ordered the pepperoni pizza with spicy salami as an add on as well as a chicken fettuccine pasta with red sauce and garlic extra. The pizza was delicious, tasty sauce and a generous heaping of pepperoni and salami. The pasta was al dente and the chicken was cut into small cubes, was tender and flavorful as well with the extra garlic adding a nice garlicky flavor to the dish. Very disappointed in this pizza place. I got an 18 inch half margarita half cheese and pepperoni pizza for about $30 out the door with tip, and it is horrible. Domino's is far better in fact any pizza place is better than this place. The guy that took the order was rude. He asked if this was my first time, I said yes, and he said well we've been here two years. Where have you been? Couldn't believe he was that aggressive. The crust is more like a cracker. I ordered a pepperoni slice and it was perfectly cooked with a thin, crispy crust. A lot of thin crust pizzas can be overly oily, but this one was balanced just right. This long vacant structure in Clairemont has been turned into a drive-thru pizza shop. Pit Stop Pizza offers NY style pies featuring six basic preset combinations and three specialty types. You can even build your own pizza starting at $18. Three salads and five sides rounded out the savory offerings. If you call ahead like I did to place an order, a pizza takes about 15 minutes to be prepared. A text message will be issued when the food is ready. My choice was the Spicy Honey ($22) which was one of the specialty pies. The toppings were mozzarella, tomato sauce, spicy salami, and honey. The 20" diameter thin crust pizza was divided into eight pieces. I didn't find the salami to be spicy at all. Pizza was piping hot but that did NOT stop us from digging in and devouring it. Crust is thin but has incredible structural integrity. Cheese to sauce ratio was absolute perfection and the pizza had a great amount of pepperoni. Eating this pizza in the parking lot, i just kept reiterating "wow, this is amazing."
