Flowers were beautiful with the exception of the florist/ workers coming back to the venue we were staying at and decided to THROW AWAY THE FLOWERS... or so they said! We woke up the next morning no beautiful flowers to be seen! They had said something about "you have to tell us if you want to keep the flowers, it was in our contract"! Isn't that crazy though! Could you imagine them coming back after flowers that I sent to a funeral and said "you didn't tell us you wanted to keep the flowers"! When paying for wedding flowers- you purchase the flowers along with the time creating a beautiful arrangement. Therefore the only thing we should have paid for was the arranging/time since we apparently didn't "own" the flowers! These people are reusing flowers! Fiore Design House/Florist was chosen as the florist for my daughter's wedding based on online reviews, photos of advertised work, and my daughter's very passionate love of flowers. However, the actual quality and quantity of what we received on the day of the wedding was very disappointing. I have never been the type of person to post a negative review online but felt very strongly that other brides need to be made aware and warned that you will not get what you specifically request or pay for with Fiore. Our final proposal for flowers, delivery & set up, rental of candles and other items was $4,620.00 (most of this amount was flowers, greenery, delivery & set up). This was not the lowest or highest budget I am sure others may have paid when utilizing this vendor. When you look at other florists online an above average price for wedding florals is $4,000 and up. In our various phone and in person consultations we shared many Pinterest board pictures and ideas with the Fiore team to discuss my daughter's expectations and vision for her big day. We made very specific requests in color schemes, the overall look of the bridal bouquet, the placement and use of greenery and eucalyptus lining the reception tables, the use of toffee roses, the arrangements on the arbor used during the ceremony, and the use of dried elements to be integrated into the designs of each piece. We also asked the team to avoid the use of hydrangeas in the arrangements since they are cheaper options and wilt easily. When the flowers arrived at the venue the reception arrangements were underwhelming, full of hydrangeas, and had roses that had already begun to wilt. In addition, the flowers in the boutonnieres were already drooping and wilted. In the reception venue, the amount of greenery (Italian ruscus) placed on the reception tables during set up was very minimal and a much cheaper option than the eucalyptus we had specifically requested and written in our contract/proposal. We were charged between $45-$20 per table for eucalyptus greenery and what we received was not even close to that or that value. The wrist corsages for myself and the mother of the groom were $35 each. Upon arrival they were just four small flowers glued to a metal wrist band. It goes without saying, they fell apart in five minutes and had to be repaired by our wedding planner, to the best of her ability, right before we walked down the aisle and fell off again during the ceremony while I was just sitting there. When my daughter and her husband were leaving for their big send-off and the end of the reception, she saw one of the staff members from Fiore holding many of the dried elements (which we paid extra for in the contract) from the floral arrangements in her hands and was shocked. The Fiore team member had come back at the end of the event, gone into the reception while guests were leaving, taken most of the dried elements back out of the floral arrangements, and was packing them up with other items to take back to the floral shop. When my daughter asked her what she was doing and why she was taking the dried elements, she told my daughter, "You can have some of them if you want." My daughter said, "Some?!? We paid for them; we should be able to keep them since we did pay for them after all." Who even does something like that? How can you charge someone for something and then try to take it back! My daughter, who it cannot be understated, is a HUGE flower and plant lover was very disappointed by Fiore's lack of quality and communication with us. When I addressed my disappointment and concerns after the wedding with Fiore's owner and manager, we did receive a refund for the wrist corsages and boutonnieres ($250). When I voiced my other concerns regarding the attempt to take the dried floral elements, the overall look, the flower choices, the quality of the arrangements, and the lack of greenery I received versus what was in my proposal/contract, I was given excuse after excuse. I was told, "the cost of certain flowers had gone up", "it was a Sunday wedding" (which they have known it was a Sunday wedding the entire time), "they had never received feedback like this", "they had to make decisions based on what was available", and so on. If what we envisioned was not accurate compared to the proposal we received, or there was an upcharge that needed to me made or modification to the contract to ensure the florals would be what we expected, NO ONE from Fiore let us know until it was too late and even then, it was just one more excuse as to why they did not deliver on what they had listed in the contract. I would have been willing to modify the price or the contract if it was necessary to ensure my daughter's wedding flowers were what she dreamed of without question because I know that was one of the most important parts of her dream wedding. If you view the gallery photos Fiore has online and on social media, one might assume you would get the quality and quantity. read more

They were delivered at 9 am on Saturday and looked like they had just been picked from a garden that morning. There were tulips, roses, sunflowers, hydrangeas, peonies and even a bird of paradise, all in bright, beautiful colors. When I returned 30 minutes later he had made an incredible modern arrangement full of exotic flowers within my budget. They ruined my idea for a flower crown surprise not only once, but twice...by telling my fiancé about it in person and then again by sending an invoice to the wrong email weeks later. What arrived: a 'regular' sized arrangement of CARNATIONS, about the cheapest flower around! My sister had her wedding at Wrightsville Manor this past Saturday night. While the flowers and the layout of the flowers were nice, the wedding coordinator my parents spend 1k on for the day were horrific. Groomsman and bridesmaid wandering around before ceremony, waiting for some instruction. Never told bride/groom their food was ready. No communication with he band to announce cake was being served. My husband ordered a gorgeous arrangement for my last day at work, and he had them deliver. I was astonished at the size and beauty of these flowers and had never heard of Fiore, even though I have lived in Wilmington my whole life. I bragged on the arrangement and placed it for all to see; HOWEVER, once the arrangement was just a few hours old (and was on display in a well air conditioned office and home, I must add), I noticed an immediate change. The flowers started to wilt! By the next day, the wilting was worse, and some of the flowers had started turning brown. I asked my husband just how much he paid for this arrangement: $120 bucks!!!!!! I am very displeased at how much money this was only to last a few hours. I honestly buy longer lasting flowers at Harris Teeter, but he was being a great husband and trying this place. Not cool at all. He did comment on how great the staff were, but paying this much for flowers that are only beautiful for a VERY SHORT time is not good for business, I believe. My bouquet and my maid of honor's bouquets where full, lush and tightly held together. The alter arrangements were gorgeous and the wreaths on the Basilica's door were beautiful. The next day, we had our party to celebrate our marriage at the aquarium. I supplied her with a schematic of table and bar placements where I requested 23 simple Fall arrangements in mason jars. I used Fiore Fine Flowers for my wedding in September 2014. They far exceeded my expectations. They listened to exactly what I wanted, made suggestions and were very honest. They let me know a head of time that one of the types of flowers I wanted would be difficult to get that time of year. They were prepared with a backup plan but luckily they were able to get my stunning dahlias in for the big day! Everything from table centerpieces, accent arrangements on ledges and mantle, bouquets and even the flowers for my cake were perfect. The attention to detail was amazing. They do a lot of weddings in Wilmington and had done many at both my ceremony and reception sites. They knew exactly how to work the space and suggested all the little details that really made my reception extra special. They also had an extensive collection of vases and containers to select from to really reflect your taste. I went with a mix of containers from old silver antique tea pots, rustic looking lanterns and mercury glass to go with my romantic vintage feel. I worked with Chelsea Fritts at Fiore Fine Flowers for our wedding day flowers. Chelsea was great from the minute we met. We looked at my pinterest page and she immediately understood the vision I was going for. We got to see their inventory collection of vases, candelabras, votives, lanterns, etc. to decide what we wanted for our big day. It was a huge help to see everything in person. Delivery was seamless on the day of. They dropped the bride/bridesmaids bouquets and boutonnieres off at the house and everything looked absolutely gorgeous!! It was when I got to our wedding venue and saw the ballroom that I was completely blown away. All the details I wanted were captured. The flowers were absolutely breathtaking. We rented mercury glass votives and table numbers from Fiore as well. We had so many compliments on the flowers that night and in the days to come. Luckily we were able to take some of the flowers home with us and enjoy them in the days to come.
