The owner called (she was super friendly and helpful) to ask a few questions as she didn't have all of the flowers that were in the arrangement I saw online. 1) a florist has NEVER called to work through options (that's customer service as its finest). 2) she understood how important this was to me and promised to make it remarkable. Realistically, I'd give this place 3.5 stars. Our delivery was delayed due to the high volume of orders that came in during Mother's Day but the flowers were beautiful once they arrived. Maria was incredibly gracious and even included a box a candies to make up for the delay. Just needed a little bit better communication throughout the entire process. read more

I just moved to NC--why not try it again? Wanted to send an arrangement, and again didn't have any specific ideas. The owner Maria said she would make something really beautiful that didn't break the bank. It was delivered same day, and my sister-in-law immediately sent a picture --they were absolutely gorgeous! Placed an order the Friday before Mother's Day. Delivery was for Monday after Mother's Day. Thought we were all set, ordered online, paid and got confirmation email. At sometime over weekend they sent an email that order was cancelled because they were too busy. Never saw the email till late Sunday night. No call, just cancelled. Thus my MIL never got her gift. Terrible customer service. If you are going to cancel orders because you are "too busy" the least you can do is call someone, especially around a holiday. read more

Ordered flowers 5 days in advance on Flora Verdi website for Valentine's day. I selected Flora Verdi because they are located 2 blocks from the recipient's business. The goal was to make it a surprise and have co-workers "ooh and aah" over the flowers all day. I spoke to the recipient at 4:30 pm and learned that the order had not been delivered! I called Flora Verdi and Maria, the proprieter, did not know why the order had not been delivered that morning. She said the order would never have been delivered if I had not called. Maria apologized, put together a bouquet that was better than the one I ordered, added a box of chocolates gratis and had the delivery there by 5pm. While I appreciate her sincere apology, rapid response to salvage the delivery, and adding chocolates, it was disconcerting that my order was mishandled. I would not use Flora Verdi again, simply because I don't want to have to call to confirm that my order was delivered. The reason this is a one and not a two is that Flora Verdi did not post my review of two and the facts above. Maria's reply to my review on the Flora Verdi website was, "Thank you for your review and we hope the intention of your giving weighs more heavily than the absence of witnesses to it." If you go to the Flora Verdi website, you will see that her reviews average 4.6. I am surprised it is that low if all the negative reviews are omitted ! read more

Ordered flowers for Mother's Day and they weren't like the photo on the website and came at 9:30pm. This wasn't a big deal since it was Mother's Day and I understand that they were extremely busy and over-ordered. However, I wouldn't be writing this review if the owner, Maria, wasn't so incredibly rude when we my mom reached out to her with some feedback. She let us know that it was my fault that they weren't as pictured because, first, I ordered them on Friday afternoon and then she continued to tell my mother when I put in the order for HER mother's day flowers. Extremely unprofessional to tell the receiver of a gift when someone put in the order. Secondly, she told me I had ordered flowers that were out of season even though they were listed on the website to order... so i don't know how she would expect a customer to know that. Lastly, she said she was doing us a favor for accepting the order and getting the bouquet to my mother. I don't know what business she is used to, but if i'm paying $100 for a service, I don't classify it as a favor. All in all, the customer service displayed by the owner was truly appalling and honestly left me in disbelief. I'm giving her two stars because the substitute flowers were nice, but I would never order anything from her because on the off chance something does go wrong, it is clear she will blame everything on the customer and pretty much just be a nightmare to deal with. read more

Need to start with my mom was pleased. But I'm not. Was told I would get a text with pictures before delivery. I gave instructions on I wanted my mom called before delivery. With instructions on what to say. I wanted her surprised. Well no text because lady's who owns florist had her son take information. Guess he does not understand their forms. Because they tried to text my moms home phone. Called my cell about the delivery. Which I asked for hand delivery. It was left on back porch. If they would have followed simple directions they would have not left on back porch. They get your card info and charge what they want. It was $10 more than son said total would be. Now for my mom I don't mind cost. But I want to know what I'm paying. Again she was happy but she is easy to please I'm. Not. I thought I had found a place for future events by the phone conversation with owner but they screwed the delivery up. Anything could have happened with the wind blowing like it was yesterday. Thank God my mom arrived home as the delivery driver was leaving. Anyhow I won't order here again. Next time I'll call grocery store florist and pay a taxi to deliver as I live 21/2 hours away. read more
