The owner refusing to cover the cost of ruined product, he even kept some of it and never sent back.( maybe his wife or friends are using it now) We are dealing with legal stuff preparing to sue him. My daughter wanted to design a t-shirt and - not knowing anything about how to do this - I just googled "montreal t-shirt printing". Several options popped up but In Print seemed like a particularly high quality place. I emailed the shop and explained my daughter's ambition (and my absolute lack of knowledge regarding what I was doing) and the owner, Alex, responded to me in such a genuinely nice manner and offered to guide us through the process. It was such a touching level of customer care. We did some back and forth in terms of my daughter's design and he helped us figure out "what would work" given their printing process (and he took the time to explain everything to us in a simple manner). Then, we visited his shop (before the shirts were printed) so that my daughter could SEE how the process works. Alex and his crew were so generous in showing her around and they even let her do a tiny bit of one task (cleaning a "printing tray" once a design run is finished - I'm sure that I'm butchering terminology here). My daughter felt so good and so encouraged by this. Finally, we ordered a batch shirts (which my daughter will be selling for charity). That part of the transaction went super smoothly and In Print even was able to get our favorite shirt brand for printing (Bella & Canvas). Every step of the experience was amazing and I simply can't believe how amazing Alex and the In Print team were. They kept overdelivering in a very caring manner. Just took a Beginners Sewing/Make a Tote Bag class... during a Saturday morning...We five students…read morelearned so much from our excellent teacher, Mary Margaret...We each left the class with a completed beautiful tote bag...and learned the basic important aspects of using a sewing machine.. Would definitely recommend sewing classes at Notion Fabric and Craft..and also, the sewing machines are available to rent...in the store on an hourly basis...

Walking into a craft stores, I've often felt intimidated. I've held onto the idea that I could…read morenever be a person who makes things! No one in my family sews, knits or needlepoints, and I hadn't been taught elsewhere. Yet, I've always wanted to create something with my hands. Fortunately, Mary Margaret, the owner of Notion Fabric & Craft encouraged me to confront my fear of the sewing machine! It doesn't hurt that her store is NOT overwhelming like many craft stores I've been to. Though she is fully stocked with beautiful fabrics, yarns, patterns, crafting accessories and tools, stepping inside Notion feels like you have been invited into someone's home studio. I have taken two of Mary Margaret's classes. The first one was the first time I ever touched a sewing machine. I left with a beautiful tote bag that I am able to boast that I made. In the second class, she taught us how to make a shirt. Mary Margaret is a wonderful, patient teacher who supports you in all of your mini-milestones and successes, as well as your...uh...learning opportunities along the way. I particularly appreciated her talk about clothing sizes in stores and how all of our bodies are unique and fluctuate from time to time. We can't be defined by someone else's size or idea of a size! The classroom upstairs is a bright and inviting community space. Mary Margaret offers tea and coffee for added coziness. Notion Fabric and Craft is a much needed addition to Montpelier for expert crafters and novices alike. Do yourself a favor and take a class taught by Mary Margaret!
