A nice coffee shop off of busy Ford. It is nice to find a tranquil spot in this busy commercial area. I was hoping to to get further instruction on Yemeni offerings, but the server was not forthcoming. Mostly a local clientele, which is a nice contrast to bustling Dearborn. I was hoping for a kettle of tea, but since I was left to my devices I ordered the Yemeni tea. It tasted like chai. At first I thought it was too sweet but I got used to it. I could taste cardamom and clove. I couldn't taste mint as the menu noted. I had it with the Pistachio cake. Tasty but not my general preference. It is a denser cake with a traditional honey syrup at the base found in many desserts from this part of the world. The topping was in between a frosting and whip cream. It had a minute amount of coconut shavings (not my fave). They have a few other cakes and the cheese cake, which I am guessing is like a kanafeh. I decided to try a cheesecake frape. It was delicious. I t tasted like you were drinking a cool creamy cheesecake. So tasty. The drink was good and the seating areas were interesting. Good for meeting up with friends. Except lacking music to complete the ambience. It would've been a 5 star if not for that. Also maybe a few more bakery options in their display case. They did have 3 cheesecakes to choose from and three cake options with two other dessert options. Also no napkins available to grab. Excellent cup of coffee! Yemeni coffee is quite special and has a natural chocolatey taste. This shop has a nice interior and is well maintained. That said, over ten bucks for essentially two roughly 12 ounce cups of coffee did not feel like a value proposition. The experience was rather plain, the cups were plain white and non-branded. Rather buy a 30 dollar bag of coffee, brew my own, and get more mileage out of single source speciality coffee. read more

Something about finjan coffee is just so much better than most other coffees. This cafe did not disappoint. I had ordered the finjan latte and Nutella croissant. The croissant was rather large and was not overfilled with Nutella like other places. Nice balance of bread to hazelnut spread. The finjan latte was what truly made my time there worthwhile. It was prepared perfectly (and this is coming from a non coffee person). Inside of the cafe was adorable as well with nice seating, WiFi, and available outlets. Table service was speedy. Very cute little cafe. They have a nice menu of Yemeni coffee and chai as well as a few dessert items. I had the adeni chai and it was pretty good. Does have seating but might be harder for groups of more than 4 to get together as the space is a bit small. Still a great place to meet with friends and catch up. read more

Finjan is one of my favorite coffee/tea shops in the area. I have been here over 10 times and the coffee and tea is always consistent and delish. Although there are coffee shops that are closer to where I live, I always opt into driving a bit farther because I feel like Finjan puts more spice into their coffee and tea and I love the unique and delicious flavors you get! If you love Yemeni tea (especially Adeni tea) and coffee, this was such a great find! My friends and I always go to Qawah House in Dearborn, but it is always busy and we have to fight to find seats. So our first time in Qamaria we were so happy to find multiple cozy tables and comfy chairs. It was not loud so we could enjoy each other's company. They have the honeycomb pastry but even more than that! Finjan Cafe opened in garden city about two months ago as of this review. The interior is gorgeous and coffee is rich bodied. I feel a lot of class in this establishment. It is clean, thoughtful design, and has a talented staff of baristas. While I was there another customer and I talked. He said it's his new pit stop and it completely replaced t hos on his way to work. Smart guy! I ordered a cappuccino and pistachio rose cake. They are gorgeous combo. The bitterness of the coffee and the sweetness of nutty cake play together nicely. The barista asked me if I wanted any sugar and I'm glad I said no. The balance of flavors was perfect in this combo. This place just took my breath away. The moment I entered I felt swept in time of calm. The music is inviting and soothing. My intent was to sit and have tea and indulge in their delicious desserts but I had to leave quick. My friends and I frequent this amazing cafe multiple times a week for many reasons. The owner truly goes out of his way, I mean above and beyond to accommodate our large group, his staff is extremely kind and personable, his selection of beverages is unmatched (the mixed berry smoothie, strawberry smoothie, and iced caramel macchiato are ELTIE), the interior design is fresh and modern, the space is cozy and feels like home, and nothing beats supporting a small business. ive got say it's nice to have a local coffee near by. i've travelled quite a bit to find good coffee. I don't think of nothing of this place but ive made a trip to finjan. I was like wow this place is really awesome. I really enjoyed the cheesecake and coffee they do a really good Yemeni cup of coffee. I like the interior of the place it's large quiet not is packed other places. do you have a lot of parking and I recommend to anyone who is looking for a coffee spot near Dearborn Heights.
