My contractor also was happy with it, until the last stair tread to come out of the box was damaged. I called LL and was told that it was damaged in shipping and they would cover fixing the item. Partially since I spent so much money there! LL Flooring formally Lumber Liquidator, and now Lumber Liquidator again has gone back on their promise to make it right! Shortly after I dropped off the broken tread LL Flooring filed bankruptcy and was restructured. I was told during the restructuring that as an existing customer I would be taken care of, but the company needed to complete bankruptcy. I was very understanding and delayed completion of my home renovations for this one step! My contractor also had to move on. After what seemed like 5 months I was informed by Lumber Liquidator that they would not replace the broken step tread unless I paid $60 for the replacement. Fortunately for me they had not tossed the broken step tread. I actually paid for that one! I feel cheated and disappointed that the new Lumber Liquidator management saw me as a number that was a past customer. Well they made sure I would never purchase from them again and I will tell anyone willing to listen that Lumber Liquidator is a disreputable company and to take their money to a company that will honor their commitments. I would give ZERO Stars if able. DO NOT SHOP AT LL OR LUMBER LIQUIDATOR FLOORING. You never know when they will file bankruptcy just to get out of their obligations. Shame on you.

Do yourself a very big favor and stay far away from doing business with this store…read more I had a measure done to include 2 sets of stairs and a loft area. I was told on numerous occasions that the flooring I chose was available but would be coming from various locations so it would take a while to get. When I called to check in on the order status, I was told the product was discontinued but they had enough to do my job. I would be able to purchase it a big discount but he had to make sure they had enough in their warehouse to complete the job. I called again to check on the status and was now told the product was not discontinued but would be back in stock in several months at a premium price. I decided to forget that sku and went with an item that was in stock. I was then informed that they didn't have any delivery men so it couldn't be delivered in a timely manner. But they would deliver it to my house themselves since I was living out of state and didn't have a vehicle that could handle a pickup of this magnitude. Finally had the product delivered. Then i was told the installer wasn't going to be available for some time. When he finally coordinated the install, he walked in and said there was a shortage of product and couldn't do the job until every piece was delivered. When the installer finished the job, he only had enough product for 1 set of stairs and said that's all that was purchased and all they had ordered. He proceeded to tell me that when he did the estimate, he included the second set of stairs with pictures, layout etc to be included in the estimate. I was also told I could return any unopened product - which was true except they charged me an additional 25% restocking fee even though they were the ones to work up the estimate. What a fiasco! This was by far the worst experience I've had with a retailer.

Now we are expanding! Of course, I called to arrange for yet another installation of new floor covering. Will follow up with another review when it is finished. Nothing but the best! Cannot recommend them highly enough. Note: Parenteau's Floor Coverings has relocated to their previous location on Route One in Searsport, across from Angler's Restaurant. EASY to find. I would give negative stars if I could STAY AWAY!…read more I hired them last year, and then had to fire them after there was evidence of meth use in my house, as well as using our spare mattress for who knows what. My husband also caught the owner (Matt) in, let's say, a very compromising situation but Matt was so out of it, he didn't even notice. After putting up with far too much, for far too long, we had to fire them with the job only partially completed. Thank goodness another company was able to come in and fix the situation but the reality is, we were out several thousands of dollars for an incomplete job. STAY FAR AWAY
