We've shopped at Paragon for decades and always had good to great experiences there. The staff is…read morewell-informed, has integrity and the merchandise is of excellent quality. Tonight l had another great experience at Paragon thanks to the sensitivity and good nature of Mike R in the upstairs shoe and boot department. As a rule, my 88-year old husband doesn't like to buy himself new clothes. But after what feels like weeks in this polar vortex, with him stubbornly trudging and slipping through the snow in old rubber rain boots and a cane, l stopped hinting and put my foot down: we were going to buy him some warm, waterproof boots with cleats. Knowing that he might only put up with one outing, I decided to scout Paragon on my own, first. Mike R. advised me he had only one style of boot that fit what l was looking for and not many sizes left. When he came back with a size in the ballpark, l asked if he could hold it for me. Mike was blunt: he couldn't do any 24-hour holds with the stock so low, but he could hold it for two hours. I thanked him, explaining that if l bought these and presented them to my husband as a done deal he would never even try them on. But we'd be back, within the hour. When we arrived on the floor, Mike picked right up on the dynamic: this was not a customer for a hard sell. And so Mike was the soul of discretion. He kept a low profile, talking quietly and only to me and showed up just often enough to be helpful. He was patient, kind and l got the feeling he was enjoying the challenge of selling without ever even connecting with the guy trying on the boots. And Mike's strategy worked! We made the transition from my husband's original reaction to the only boots in his size ("l hate them!") to walking out with four pairs of socks and that same pair of warm, waterproof boots with cleats. I am deeply grateful to and frankly in awe of Mike R, Paragon boots department. Thank you!

I called him in the middle of August to find out the status. He had to call me back and told me that fabric was on back order and just came in. He put a rush on it but I will have the tuxedo for the wedding. I have never heard of any manufacture that will not offer a different material as a replacement??? Lets face it he forgot to order it. He then calls in Sept. informing me the tuxedo will not be ready for the wedding. I told him to just make sure I had the tuxedo for my sons wedding on Dec 11 2021. I had to wear an old tuxedo to my nieces wedding. It was embarrassing. In Oct. I was told the Tuxedo was in. I went for a fitting and could not believe the tuxedo was about 3 sizes to small. He said he didn't know how this happened and took my measurements again. On Nov 18. I once again went for a fitting. The tuxedo was nice but needed some minor adjustments and the satin stripe down the legs were not put on. I went yesterday and the stripe was still not put on the pants. I am 9 days away from my sons wedding. He added the stripe and brought the tuxedo to my house last night. He put the tuxedo in a garment bag that had a horrible stench to it. He had to smell it when he put the Tuxedo in, but he did it anyway. The tuxedo picked up the smell. Luckily my wife had a spray that took the smell out. What kind of person does something like that. A sincere apology would have been nice. Never given. How about here is a bow tie on me. The last thing I need is another bow tie. I not the point, it's the Act. How about I know you been back and forth more that you should have. I have an espresso for you. Again I don't need a cup of coffee. It the gesture. Four and a half months to get my Tuxedo from him. It's clean and well-organized inside, and there's a large selection. It's maybe a little bit smaller than some other locations in the city. Not a huge deal, but makes the process of selecting pricey running shoes a bit harder. I liked this location and plan to come back again!
