Recently had a basic pedi and French gel mani. Overall mediocre basic pedi which was typical cost but was quick and pretty blah. Then when it came to pay I was told it was $75 - $30 for pedi and $45 for French gel mani. I gave a $10 cash tip. When I saw the charge on my credit card I was shocked. $91!!! I called to question the amount and was told they charged to glue one nail and they have an up charge for using a credit card. The inner said "well this is Westport". So all in, this was over $100 and not even close to a great experience. I've had much better mani/pedis for far less $$ Go elsewhere. read more

They didn't mention that when I pick the color. It was a normal color btw. Also, at the end the women ask me for extra tip... I will not go back. They have done a lovely job of updating and de-cluttering the salon. The staff and owner are so nice and they do an amazing job. I can't say enough for the kindness and talent of the staff at Finger Nail. In my 28 yrs in Westport, this is clearly the best place. The manicures and massages have always been the best in Westport and the salon is exceptionally clean. A couple weeks ago, I took off my rings while getting nails done. I left them behind. In a total panic, I went the next morning and of course they could not have been kinder in having them stored safely until I arrived. The entire staff is amazing. read more

Horrible salon. Had a 9:30 appointment one morning. The owner and her crew showed up after 10am. The woman I had an appointment with began folding the hot towels and doing other busy work while I waited and waited. The owner just kept saying "just one minute, just one minute". I had to leave. I got in my car at 10:20 to go home and do my own manicure as I had a 1pm business appointment. The owner of this salon has a poor attitude and cares nothing for customers' time. I've been looking for a new nail salon for EVER, this was the first time I've left happy with my nails in months. The last salon I went to totally messed up my nails, this place cleaned them up for me exactly how I wanted. Katie was lovely and did exactly what I asked for. She kept my nails thin and was diligent about everything. It didn't feel like she was just rushing through to get me done for once. The pedicure quality was good, but not great (could have used another coat of polish). I liked that they used hot stones, everything seemed sanitary, and had me wait in the pedicure chair rather than on a bench. The staff was friendly and dealt with a rude customer well. 5 stars for the girls who give massages while your nails are drying! read more

I got a pedi and gel mani for about 62 dollars. It's fairly priced and they give great massages with both pedi and mani. Used hot stones and a hot towel it was an amazing experience I'm definitely coming back for all seasons!!! read more

They just remodeled the inside so it looks much more sophisticated than it once did. I come here for the massages that come with a mani/pedi (I've gotten a chair massage before and it HURT SO BAD). The mani/pedi is great and they have a good selection of OPI and Essie colors as well as many good magazines. The owner (Sandy) is very sweet, however, when she figures out who I am she badgers me about my Mom (who USED to go here but gets her gel mani someplace less expensive) and asks me why my Mom doesn't come anymore. I feel like saying "what do you care, I'M HERE!?" The massage is the best part, it's about 20 minutes and includes your back and arms AND HEAD (don't go if you're having a good hair day because it'll get messed up a bit) as well as lotion and a hot stone massage (while you're sitting letting your nails dry). I started going to this salon because I work in the area and now it's spoiled me and I'm hooked and can never go anywhere else. I'm not a big 'girly girl' - I actually got my first ever pedicure here at the age of 24. I used to be intimidated by nail salons and feel like I didn't fit in but a friend took me to this one 8 years ago and I'm so happy she talked me into giving it a try because now it is part of my monthly routine. The place is always spotless and the staff is friendly and greets you when you come in no matter how busy it gets. The prices are pretty comparable to other places but at this place you get a 15 minute back rub (a great one at that) while your nails dry as part of it which is the best part. Sometimes I'll use another nail place closer to my house if I'm in a pinch and I always regret it if I do. This is the best place. read more

I went for the first time today, and as it happens they had an inspection at the same time! Every staff member became really agitated and focused solely on the inspectors rather than the customers. One of the staff member ended up trashing a bottle of something so the inspectors wouldn't see it, which did not make me feel comfortable. Anyway the lady who was doing my pedicure had obviously no interest in me, but rather getting me as quickly as possible to the drying section so she could be on her phone.... the lady who massaged my back was really good though, and I felt better tipping her then the actual one who did my nails. This place is pretty good. I came in with a friend, who is a regular, a few weeks ago and I've been back twice. You get a lot for your money and the massage at the end is a great bonus. Their service is incredible, their manicures/pedicures last forever and look amazing each time and the back massage at the end may be the best part. They are 20 minutes and the staff are all highly skilled so you leave feeling great. Love this place. Fingernail Salon is great. I found it going to Fountain of Youth Market one day. The owner is super nice and the pricing is good (for Westport). It is clean, they are very thorough and so far (1 week) no chips! The girl talked me into their Green Tea pedicure which was fantastic and comes with a free mani and reflexology. I was impressed with the foot massage which was surprisingly good - often massages at nails salons are annoyingly average, but this girl was strong and knew what she was doing. This is by far the best nail place in the Fairfield/Westport area. I know people who come from other towns just because they prefer this salon. The mani/pedis are wonderful. The technicians take their time and do an excellent job. I've been to other places where they just quickly slap the polish on and several days later the polish is chipping already. At Finger Nail, I've had pedis last at least a month. They give wonderful foot, leg and hand massages as part of the basic mani/pedis, along with hot stones, and the massage chairs are an added bonus. But the real perk is the long neck, back and head massage you get while your nails are drying. So blissful! I pass at least a dozen nail salons on my way to Finger Nail, and I wouldn't stop at any of them. Yes, their prices are higher, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Don't be put off by the generic name and the unassuming store front. Inside is another world. read more
